Hahaposting aside, I really do wish I could get into games like Mega Man. Run and Guns, I believe they're referred to as? I've played the Mega Man Zero Collection and a bit of Gunvolt 1, but goddamn am I fucking terrible at them. It really sucks when I enjoy so much about a game... but the gameplay itself. Same thing's happening to me with Bayonetta and TWEWY. I just can't INTO any one of them.

The Zero collection isn't that good of a starting point for newbies desu. If you're still interested in Megaman then i suggest starting with either Powered Up (PSP remake of the first game) or MM2 on normal mode

Actually Star Force 3 was my very first MM game! I really loved SF2 and SF3, but it's a shame that I lost the former. I saw that the Vita can get the MM Legends games through PSOne Classics, so I was thinking of downloading it there to try it out. Battle Network I'll probably need to emulate though.
I was thinking about picking up the Mega Man Collection and the Mega Man X Collection at some point. Those have all the original games in their entireties, correct? I don't really mind that I'll need to download the second part of the collections.
