Game subs generally are alot better depending on the game, I think its cause they are willing to put more production into things cause it can actually result in something more profitable, anime in the west is still a waste of finances even if its better than it ever was.

It's been alluded for a long time that Sabbot has been pulling the strings in this drama. He owns the studio that Funimation uses for their recordings so he has a lot of influence there and he has had beef with Mignona for years.

When the TCPA fails and the parties can start doing deeper discovery it's assumed that a lot of shit is going to get leaked. Sabbot may even get added as a defendant in the case if the evidence is damning enough.

Typically I enjoy dubs in part because if the translation is localized well, it typically the dialogue is better then when they hire that one idiot who just knows the 2 languages and performs the worlds worst raw translation without contextualizing or having any understanding of how translation of languages actually works. Not all dubs are created equal, but what the basement weebs who pretend it matters in some big way, act like is that all subs are, which is just not true.

That's definitely not true in certain cases. Cowboy Bebop, for instance, has an objectively superior dub versus the original Japanese. More recently, the Kill la Kill dub is almost spot on when compared to the original Japanese. It seemed like they cast specifically for similarity to the original voices. The actual tone and inflections were almost identical and emphasis was correctly used.
