>3-4 suns
>1000 suns
So they know exactly it is 1000 suns for one blackhole but they don't know exactly the mass of the other? lmao

also "three or four who knows teehee~~ " doesn't sound very scientific

I think no man's sky does a pretty good job at that every time you hit the pulse drive. The simple fact that you could spend literally hours traveling to nearby planets if you really wanted to.

>what do you mean they can't measure something half a galaxy away with pinpoint accuracy and rely on measurement based estimates? Boy I sure am smart for pointing this one out.

Kerbal Space Program is up there, especially if you use the real scale mods
1:1 scale solar system with no load points and no magic hyperspace drives

Other space games have bigger scopes than a single solar system, but in KSP the fact that you physically travel from one planet's surface to another in complete control of your spacecraft/crew makes you really feel the scale.

>they can't measure 3-4 suns
>they can somehow measure 1000 suns

>because this fan-made infographic said 1000 that must mean the scientific estimate is exactly 1000.

>want to play space engine
>get triggered by black holes
fuck, I just don't like that overwhelming blackness and the point of no return.

I felt tiny throughout. The dialogue especially cemented how large the universe is and how small you are in comparison, just a single tiny being in a tiny corner doing something you deem massively important.

See
But also are you retarded? Measuring small things in space accurately is way harder than measuring big things. Use your brain for once.

>infographic especifically states 3-4 suns on one hole but not 1000-1100 suns on the other
seems something oddly especific to do as if they got the information from a reputable source that states 3-4 and 1000 respectively

Its a small number vs a big number you dumb nigger. No one is going to say "983+-1006 Msun". Also M82 is 12 million light years away, accurate measurement is impossible, and estimates range from 400-1000 solar masses, the youtube man decided on going with the highest estimate for the most drama.

>implying measuring accurately a black hole has anything to do with the size of it
