How do you guys deal with the security risks that come with vidya piracy?

How do you guys deal with the security risks that come with vidya piracy?
I was thinking about dualbooting Windows and a Linux distro (maybe Kubuntu) so that I can use Windows as a dumping ground for pirated vidya not giving a single fuck if the games have malware in them and whatnot, and using Linux for personal matters and safe browsing.

I pirate safely and never have to deal with viruses because i'm not a retard who torrents anything in 2019.

What the fuck does Amelie have to do with anything?

Fitgirl girl has a name?

Amelie a cute

>How do you guys deal with the security risks that come with vidya piracy?
3 digit IQ.

There's no real risk to it if you know where to pirate tho

That's what you conisder to be the best movie ever? Don't come near me.

t-avengers endgame

i never understood this photo. is this a matrix reference?

There's no such thing as "pirate safely". Even if you get all your games from /ourguy/ FitGirl and other safe repackers you're still launching exes as administrator (at the very least to complete the install) that have been modified by russian or chinese crackers. I would consider most old school scene groups safe (for example CPY or Codex), but others to me are pretty shady (3DM, Ali213).
Also, do you really think that someone who is able to crack the mighty Denuvo is not able to bypass your fucking Norton Antivirus to do whatever the fuck he wants on your computer?

Also what makes you think that your trusted crackers and repackers won't go rogue at some point? There is always a security risk m8. I probably have 30 pirated games currently installed onto my system right now, I guess for me 30 is the threshold where I am no longer feeling safe using my PC even though I always used safe sources considered (fitgirl, plebbit, cs.rin.ru).

Top fucking kek. We have this shit at work, the full enterprise, managed version with McAfee ePo and everything else. This piece of shit literally never blocked a legitimate malware or a zero day email attachment, on the other hand it blocked all kinds of safe files and attachment, and this is despite we enabling all kinds of predictive analysis and heuristics.

double-digit IQ voids any chance of downloading malware, you DO have a double-digit IQ, user, right?

Dude, I was "pirating" stuff 30 years ago with one of these things. Literally 0 problems from piracy.

Is it actually good tho?

Amelie? Is a nice movie. Unless you're an ADHD teenager.

just get them from a fucking private tracker where people will report the torrent if it has anything shady in it (it never does, since the uploader is an autist that quadruple checks before uploading anything because it might hurt his "rep").
and if you're too fucking stupid to pirate, just don't pirate.

I bet you like capeshit.

>There's no such thing as "pirate safely"
Yes there is.
>downloading repacks
Top fucking kek, kill yourself retard.

Who cares it's not like I do anything important on my pc anyways

Attached: SUFFER MORE.jpg (600x623, 57K)

Nigger I was pirating N64 and SNES roms, porn and games and games off KazaaLite, Shareaza and WinMX when I was 15 years old on 56k and later 640kbps non-flat dsl, other than a couple of times when I was underage and using Kazaa I never got a virus, worst thing I ever got was one of those troll malwares back on WinXP that killed the RPC Server and caused an error message to show up saying that Windows would restart in 30 seconds. You're the double digit nigger if you think there is no risk.

You honestly sound like one of those faggots who says lmao im totally safe dude i have norton n shiet, how come they inevitably come to me to fix their computer when they inevitably get malware and adware installed in the process?

you're a fucking retard

>I have no reading comprehension
OK.

Recording cassettes off the radio was never considered piracy newfag, same as recording tv shows and movies on vhs.

Lose some weight sperg

I was pirating videogames, you retarded zoomer.

>downloading repacks ever

>I blindly trust russian wizards who modify exes and then run said exes on my PC where I do my banking as admin

Sounds to me like you're the retard.

Only download from trusted sites, thats it.

The more I torrent the less websites I can access, any way I can fix this ?

what did you even do

Legally, my country doesn't give a fuck about piracy. This is valid for most countries though desu

As for personally, experience. Download from trusted sources, use big communities that check their torrents and don't always trust your "this seems dodgy" sensor

movie fucking sucks

lost me at the scene where she's getting plowed ineffectually by some dude but it ends up cutting to a bunch of other people getting fucked. dumbass film

I dont care what happens i don't have anything important on my computer and I doubt any of you have anything of importance on your pcs either. I just use it for games n shiet.

How do you even know they're trusted? Because you found them on a list on /r/piracy? Because a bunch of comments said "it's a false hit trust me bro".
Even in the best case scenario, something may slip through the cracks, no pun intended.
If you weren't so new you'd know that nowadays the era of troll malware that breaks your PC is long over, malware now stays hidden and invisible to the user, and it only shows up when it's time to ask for a ransom. I don't trust these fuckers anymore, what's in it for them? Nobody does it for free forever.

It even fucking happened to the Linux Mint iso, and we all know those things are probably the safest things on the internet. And you're telling me there's literally no chance of getting some kind of nasty shit on your computer because the "community" says they're safe? Lmao.

>and don't always trust your "this seems dodgy" sensor
Absolutely this. I remember I was looking for a really vague game/music album and I ended up on a russian website. I got the fuck out there ASAP but when I found no other sources to download from, I took the leap of faith and now I check that website every time I'm looking for anything. One of the best decisions I've ever made in terms of internet.

>malware randoms your data
>rollback to your backup of last week or the week before
>keeping actual important documents on the computer you pirate on
WOOOOOW how was I supposed to know?

>installer music

I've using IGG for year and my pc is fine

I don't download from Indian poo in the loo tier sites, so I don't have to worry about any malware.

What if it doesn't ransom your data and instead just tunnels your data to Artyom's basement in Siberia? Or if it joins your PC to a botnet?

>>keeping actual important documents on the computer you pirate on
And that's why I was asking how you deal with it. The safest thing to do would be a dualboot, with all your data partitions in ext4 so that Windows malware wouldn't be able to get in there even if it wanted.

In the rare chance that would it even ask for a ransom, what would it say? Pay me 1000 euros or your HDD with pirated games is done for?

and even further, if you knew about this stuff you'd know that who usually gets hit by these kinda scams is someone they know will have to pay. Small to medium companies who actually have customers to care about, not some shmuck like me

McAfee is professional pisser and his software has always been bunk. Don't think it's even a thing anymore.

In fact, I think he is currently on the run from the law after having lost all his money and then murdering his neighbor and burning his house down.

Try Sandboxie, it runs programs in a pseudo-virtual disk, and if said program attempts to edit anything outside of that, you will be warned by a prompt.

>Amélie
>Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
>(500) Days of Summer

Movies that are pretty good on their own right but whose fanbase ruined movie forever

guys, can you trust piratebay comments?
thepiratebay.org/torrent/4409897/AMELIE.2001.DVDRip.(EngSubs).mkv

>dont live in burgerland or cuck EU region #20 when the ISP not only spy you but also call their nose masters for literally anything
>dont have personal info in the computer like credit card numbers or any bullshit
>use shit like mega or google drive downloads
>download superantispyware and do a scan each month just in case some of those are nuked
>add firewall rules to said software to avoid outgoing connections
>have monitoring software to make sure its the case and send them to the localhost loop if needed

If you feel paranoid enough, if not just With a good laywer you can say someone hacked your wifi to do it.

Most PCs today have malware on them. If you pirate there is a much higher chance that there is malware on your PC. It is just something you have to live with if you pirate.

It's a movie for women and dudes who wish they were women. Total trannycore.

>you can say someone hacked your wifi to do it.
MAC address

I almost never trust comments. I always trust how many seeders there are. I can't open the link right now because I'm at work at the moment, but nobody is paying 1000+ people to seed a virus.

>"dude, piracy can turn your fortnite machine into mustard gas!"

dilate.

Allegedly.

Great post except for the Wojak

In my defense I should say that "zoomer feels guy" is the only feels guy I use.

He is currently on the run for tax evasion

>Uses wojacks
If there is ever a way to discredit your legitimate argument, this is it.

Migrate to a third world shithole. Family friend was a cop and they used the station computers to pirate movies and shit because they had a faster connection there.

see

That doesn't make it okay. Start using actual reaction images.

but you don't get it dude the NSA and big data company are totally trustworthy there's no way data will leak even though it happened multiple times in the past

OK, fine. I think I have a CD around with ~2005 stuff, I'd check it later.

You're more at risk buying video games then pirating nowadays.

Attached: 1558103243342.jpg (600x600, 65K)

shit you just reminded me

Literally had not logged into my Epic account since they gave away that $7m worth of Paragon assets. Tried to log in the other day to see the shit show of a store and my account had been locked. Yeah, turns out chinese have been bombarding the account with login attempts.

I'm not afraid of anything. Fuck the CIAniggers I'll fight them all with my fists.

>private tracker
Were to find this?

Every single program you download can track you, starting from windows itself (hell it used to have keylogger on as default). Read the EULA to find out what they can do to you.
Pirating something means adding another person you need to trust.
My point is the moment you turn something on, you can easily be tracked, if you don t worry about google and microsoft knowing every single second where are you and what are you doing, why do you care about a random dude?

This should be a banner

Frankly, if anyone really wanted and had the tools, they could track you anyway, if you are online. That's why really important data is not stored (or should not be stored) on device connected to internet.

>6 seeders
where do you even get movie torrents

dont trust pub trackers or if you must use them at least verify file sizes/hashes etc however far you wanna take it before you cop something

have probably gotten about 4 viruses that actually stuck around in the past 15 or so years of pirating. it's cliche to say but common sense is the best anti virus if you must grab from public torrents.

get into private groups and this is literally never an issue and more often than not you'll have more freedom and convenience and higher quality than pozflix

Attached: 1563655937909.jpg (1080x1350, 150K)

it's safer to pirate games than to use tranny congregation software of the current year, based assfaggots of chink loving, le fat redpilled man of unreleased 3rd sequel's games store or CCP's official intel gathering software
everything officially free has botnets
everything paid is managed by jews and also has botnets

Late reply, but usually RARGB or RUTracker.

Yeah I bet "The Avengers 2019.exe" looked really legitimate.

I'd rather trust russians than amerisharts.

Were do you user pirate older (maybe early 2000's) and more obscure games? A lot of that stuff used to be on tpb, but some of it is now gone or seeders are dead.

Thank God zoomer shitters like you stay away from the website i get my games from.

>laughs in antis

I only use fitgirl repacks and GOD games

a good antivirus and regular checkups on resource usage.
only install games from known groups and uploaded by the group itself or persons known for being trutworthy.
piracy has always risks, only a retard would say otherwise.

absolutely based
