I'll say this; I hate steam. But I also hate Epic. Both for different reasons. Steam is too big and has lost what made them good in the first place. This is the announcement post. I don't give a fuck about this game and only googled it because of this post, but this announcement is super condescending, and also just wrong. The defense of "EGS is only bad because its new!" is not a valid defense, they're expected to compete in today's market, not the online gaming market of 15 years ago. The idea that exclusives aren't artificial competition because launchers are free is also stupid.
I'm not saying these guys deserve death threats, but what did they expect? They made a shitty decision, announced it in a shitty way, and people responded as if they were being shitty. Shocker.
