第二部 is the only part of that can be considered 'the greatest RPG ever made'. Everything before it is just way too dull and unmemorable for the amount of time you put into it to get too the good stuff.
He isn't even the biggest chads amongst Alicesoft characters. Akuji and Ippatsu are WAY bigger chads.
02's current translation is a shitty machine translation of the unpatched script.

I'd say Rouga, Alec and Tsuguhiko/Adam have some parts that are way better than Rance, but he is still best.

How so? Yes it has a way different feel to it compared to other parts of the series but it does a great job at finishing the story. It also contains a comparatively large part of the memorable moments of the game considering it's length. Like the one throwaway line about Karma in the first 第二部 text dump was more hype than everything that happens during the first 8 turns of part 1 (except Medusa's mission that shit is just pure kino.)
