I've only done Blue Lions and Black Eagles but the Blue Lions is way more complete and satisfying depending on if you like to do those first or last.

if you max out exp in a class and you can afford a spare seal, go for it, try to plan ahead (you can see what stats you need for advanced/master classes) and set goals accordingly. like if you want great knight, you might start out maxing cavalier, but then fuck off to fighter/fortress knight to raise axe/armor, the riding you got from cavalier should cover the riding requirement for great knight

i think it's in month 2, you find edelgard chilling in the main entryway, if you talk to her she asks you if you want to go with her to watch her coronation as empress, you NEED to see this cutscene, because when you do the chapter that gives you the split, you will end up getting "i must kill edelgard" vs "..." instead of pic related

What exactly does charm do? I know it affects battalions but how exactly?

Any of them is fine aside from maybe Edelgard's route since it's clearly more of a bonus route with lower budget and you don't solve a lot of mysteries

Each class has an XP bar that increases every time they participate in a battle, and when you master the class you get a skill or a combat art.

is dancer available to male characters?

Is it even worth going off your main path to try and max additional classes? It seems to take so long to max a class and none of the bonus abilities seem critical.

on a first run probably not, when more info and guides start coming in you can plan that way. you can stick someone as an adjutant and they still gain skill exp as long as the person theyre pairing up with is fighting a lot. some abilities can be useful though, i know once you max out thief you get steal as an ability so you can change to a mage or whatever and still be able to steal shit
