Hyped for cyberpunk?

Recently started replaying witcher 3. Man this is a good game. Graphics are great. Worldbuilding superb. Missions good combat so so. But what it did is make me really hyped for cyberpunk. I hope it will be as good. What is v s opinion on cp?

I played Witcher trilogy and man. It's like great adventure, the same I had with gothic and gothic 2. I still come back to these games.

If cyberpunk will be entertaining like Witcher games but in cyberpunk style then it will be GOTY 2020.

I want to be hyped, but the sci-fi cyberpunk setting just doesn't do it for me.
Much of the beauty of Witcher 3 lies in its medieval mood and otherwordly magic.

You still can give it a try, maybe actually cyberpunk 2077 will make you love cyberpunk setting?

Nah, I beat witcher 3 recently, and it was fucking average at best. Cyberpunk77 itself already seems like an absolute mess on top of that. Zero hype.

Thats part of why im hyped. I usually don't like medieval stuff so cyberpunk is a big plus

Actually I think the vanilla graphics suck ass. The vegetation looks like pastels, the ground doesn't reflect the atmosphere and lighting in a realistic way and there's a general haziness everywhere that basically nullifies the beauty of the vistas

same boat as you, replaying the witcher in anticipation and looking forward to something as immersive I can explore for the first time again

i've intentionally avoided reading too much about it but I'm expecting a lot more choice and freedom. only negative thing is that it's naturally going to be more difficult to make future cities as interactive as small war-torn medieval villages

I expect a very flawed yet ambitious game like their recent past titles were(Witcher 3, Thronebreaker). I'll enjoy diving into the game regardless because they hit the right chord for me in the immersive rpg sense. If they can meet their rpg standard, have serviceable fps combat, and a merely DECENT loot system instead of the dog shit one in TW3 it'll be a great experience.

I am replaying on pc. Not sure what you mean by loot system but I installed a mod so I don't have to click multiple times to pick something up.
If you mean loot balance there are mods for that too.
I'd recommend friendly hud as well because that way you are not as fixated on the minimap.
Long story short, with mods you are able to mend some of the shortcomings of the game

I meant in terms of like equipment. Mods could theoretically bring the randomized stat orange swords into relevancy but not enough to bring life to the system. I'm pretty sure CP77 already was said to have hand-placed rares items and varying tiers which is more promising to at least patch up with mods if they do a shoddy job with it. I do agree however that the mod kit, despite being limited, did a HUGE job of patching the shortcomings of the game and if they are not giving any mod kit this time around (which seems likely based on their response) I worry about the game.
