I liked it from the start. It's not a great game but it's not horrible. 7/10, above average. I never once had issues with crashing when playing it, I never once had some egregious buggy shit happen to me, my own personal experience was pretty good. I definitely agree with the complaints on crafting and the length of the game though, they dropped the ball but as a proof of concept for either the engine or a design philosophy change in open world games (for the changes it DID make anyway) i'd say it did really well.
Glad it sank in price though, it feels much more like a worthwhile purchase at $30 or even $20 than $60. I feel a bit ripped off having paid $60.
It starts as good as it gets, hordes are the (extremely rare until right near the end) high point though. It's okay. Better than any recent Ubisoft open world bullshit, but that's not saying much.
Basically this, I enjoyed my time with it.
Its hated because main character is a white straight dude that isnt a cuck
It's comfy as shit
It really is. The weather effects are fucking great, snow especially.
Yeah, after I turn it off.
stop it you can't bait me into buying this shitty game
I honestly don't get why they wanted gas management to be a thing when you have several fast travel points that have gas stations for you to pay to fill up at, and even one that you can get an unlimited supply of free gas. Once you upgraded your gas tank a size or two you could just fast travel between stations and fill up what you spent to fast travel rather than scavenge for gas
There were quite a lot of underbaked ideas in the game, mostly around upgrade systems (like how after doing their couple of story missions you never had to go back to that work camp in the west and it didn't matter at all because all the best stuff was in the south camp(s) anyway).
That and some weapons simply seemed worthless because all that really mattered in the end was the sheer amount of ammo you had. You'd be an idiot to take the sniper over a machine gun, or even just a shotgun
I liked it. There's nothing amazing about it, but for what it is, it's solid and plays nicely. Faggots whine about how the zombie genre is tired and overdone but DESU I like zombie games and this one is fun. It's got a believable adult storyline with no trashy wokeness or pandering to feminists or zoomers. The cutscenes and dialogue are written like a good TV show.
I'd recommend it to anyone who isn't a manchild male feminist or a weeaboo. It's a dudebro game for dudebros and there's nothing wrong with that whatsoever
Also also I didn't like how nonchalantly they killed off-screen some of the characters.
>oh hey deek, you're back. By the way, person X was brutally murdered while you were gone lmao
It's a story heavy game so I wish they would have shown some of those scenes.
It was probably originally supposed to make you feel like you were desperately living on the edge as a survivor in a ruined world, but like everything on the PS4 it gets watered down for whining faggots who can't hack any kind of challenge or inconvenience in the gameplay
I really didn't like the how the story handled Schizo and Iron Mike
>Iron Mike believes in a "fair trial" and serving justice
>Schizo betrays you and the entire camp, getting several people killed and nearly getting you killed as well
>Iron Mike just lets him walk away with absolutely no punishment other than being banished, and doesn't let anyone know until he's already long gone
>"Well there's no way he would have gotten a fair trial!"
That shit was so fucking retarded. If betraying the camp, resulting in several deaths isn't a death sentence, what the fuck is?
>even when they were being raided in the end Iron Retard still tried to talk it out rather than fight, getting him killed
>his entire arc he preached that violence isn't the only way
>to "honor his memory" you get everyone on board to kill the enemy camp
I hated Iron Mike and I'm happy that they ended up shitting on his character once he was dead
It might have played into it, or maybe it was just world building, but whenever you would buy gas the mechanics would mention "We're gonna run out of this some day you know"
I liked the mercenaries mode like challenge they added recently, didn't check out the rest, are they worth a try?
Shitty shovelware
It was good.
However, the amount of bugs and performance issues is just too much for the AAA game.
I liked this game as RDR with zombies, the world seemed really cool. I wish they make a sequel.
Oh yeah, that arc was definitely bullshit.
You never played it. The gameplay was fairly basic for sure (hordes are fun though) but the writing, voice-acting and dialogue animations are all way above average.
The loading screens were killing me. Not sure if they ever improved those with patches.
They weren't. Fuck those times where you had to reset the game, wait 3 minutes with the initial loading and then another one to load up the game.
I was turned off after I saw how shit the A.I is on the hardest difficulty, I literally stood next to a wall and it took a solid minute to finally do decent damage to me, riding the bike was fun but it wasn't enough
