Having a grindy event in the middle of Nightwave S1 was just too much for me. I finished up Nightwave S1 and haven't touched it since.

I take breaks on occasion, usually when I burn myself out and there's no new content for a bit. Currently just grinding out archwing shit thanks to affinity boosters making it actually bearable, alongside finally getting off my ass and getting all the focus stuff I want. Might take a break after that's all done, though, and just wait for Railjack. Kinda wish DE released content in slightly more bite-sized chunks.

the endgame typically became me grinding the shitty open world areas.
i would've preferred they kept the key system intact instead of relics because grinding for prime parts seemed to have become an even bigger chore and less fun than the base void endgame.
the endo conversion shit it up too and became the worst thing to grind for.
in general the grinding became worse somehow and every new weapon and warframe is ugly and or overpowered.

Once I beat the main quest I dipped after a few more weeks. I don't like grinding for new mods to see my numbers go up. I didn't do it in Diablo 3, Borderlands, or Monster Hunter and I'm not going to start with Warframe. To me, that is the least interesting way to keep me engaged and some of the worst replayability there is. Enjoyed the time I spent with it though, it's a good game.

The only time rivens do something normal mods can't is really specific stuff like Kohm 100% stat builds, but that's maybe a handful of guns out of over 400. There's no reason to ever pay 3k scam pricing.

How to beat any junction:
1. Use Mag.
2. Cast Magnetize on the guardian.
3. Shoot at them for a couple seconds.
4. Enjoy your rail travel cutscene and planet unlock.

This is basically where I'm at, I jump on and blow through the nightwave stuff in a couple hours for the cosmetics and then wait a week. If a buddy wants to do something I'll help them out but otherwise I'm just waiting for a new quest.

they put some weapon/warframe slotz early on, which is nice. also a big chunk of kuva, like 20k.
Also some unique, exclusive mods, but the mods are for specific weapons so if you're not into them then it doesn't matter. The only real reason to grind out nightwave super hard is if you're a fashion addict and really wanted that armor set you'd never actually wear or some extra operator clothes.

There's no point in gear variety in a game where the only objective is to go fast and kill faster, especially when your frame alone is often strong enough to outclass any weapons you hope to bring. Boss fight? Chroma. Grineer defense? Saryn. Literally anything else? Volt. They've gotten a bit better about promoting different frame choices with the new boss fights, but everything else is as fucked as ever.

My graphics card fried on me and I couldn't play Warframe, after a couple of weeks away from the game I completely weaned off of the gameplay loop and stopped launching the game around MR22. Had every frame except Excal Prime and a couple of god rivens before they rebalanced the dispositions. I feel a lot better not having to waste my time rolling rivens, farming arcanes or cracking relics.

I've kept up with the news for a bit but I don't see any reason to come back to Warframe honestly. I miss posting on /wfg/ before it became tranny central with constant operator posters.

Useful? It's got a few good Arcanes, some frames, and godlike secondaries in the form of Kit-Guns, but asides from those? No.

One good thing about it is that the Lv30-50 bounty has x2 of either fieldron, detonite injector, or mutagen mass as a common reward that can drop during the first four stages. Which one depends on the current rotation. If you still had a lot of dojo research weapons to build, it's vastly faster to spam that than do invasions for the things.

Yep, they were removed. In their place, there are now two open-world zones(one on Earth, one on Venus - mind you it's still limited to four players). They have a lot of shit to do, but their penultimate tasks involve killing giant fuckers with a lot of gimmicks, which reward enhancements for frames/operators/modular weapons.

There's just no meaningful endgame. Tackling the hardest content the game has to offer gives you practically nothing of value. The only exception to this are rivens, but you can get one of those per day and they are RNG piled on top of RNG.

And the worst part is that they cannot change the system without angering the whales. If they made frames and weapons that could only be acquired by completing endgame content (ie. couldn't be bought for plat), they'd run the risk of losing paying customers. They managed to include the potato stuff in this way, and as a result, getting stuff for your tater is among the most rewarding ways to spend your time in the game, since it gives you a clear goal to work towards and actually pays off once you are done.

there are already enough "mid-tier" weapons in the game that lose effectiveness up to level 50, no matter how much you mod and forma them, so adding more just feels pointless; also on the topic of weapons, there are some that just fucking SUCK, like they are so bad you shouldn't even attempt to use them past level 30, and DE seem to have no intention of giving these weapons a pass to buff them and make them worthwhile, they just rely on riven disposition to do balancing for them, but that shit just doesn't work
I've got a veldt rifle which has an awesome design, animations, and sound....but the stats kinda suck dick, I have a riven for it.....and even then that only makes it passable in higher level content, rather than good (and all this is after the riven dispo keeps getting raised); I've put so much time and resources into trying to make this gun viable at higher levels, and it's just fucking not, even with a great riven

I played it for a couple of hours some years ago after the open beta ended and the game defacto released.

It was pure fucking garbage and one of the ugliest games I've ever played in my entire life. Nothing made sense and the game had no actual content. The ninja movement was what kept me hooked for those 2 hours, but when I realized spazzing around like a ninja on coke ultimately served no purpose, I stopped caring about that even.

basicalyl i got tired of doing missions that were grindy. i wanted to sit and do wave based shit, but instead i was constantly being sit to go find x amount of y. and the final straw was one that took like 4 hours to find everything. also i mained trinity. and no one was ever nearby, they always hard core split up, so giving health and mana was a nightmare.

The regular frames found in the game are copies of copies of copies of the original person that was infected, which means they are pretty much mindless. Then there are the prime frames, which could be considered first generation or the production line models. And then there are the actual infected individuals themselves, of which we have only seen Umbra to date. It is unclear if any other Patient Zeroes are even alive anymore.

Maiming Strike Atterax. Are you well, did you just forget that existed? Plague Kripath zaw hitting rapid fire red crits in a 10m radius? Basically any status melee with Condition Overload multiplying your damage 16x. You can have even more if you make a build tailored for it, you can hit 42x easily with a status secondary and I'd say the most you'd realistically get in a mission is 10 status effects (Plague Zaw for 3 physical and innate viral + blast (counts as 2) and corrosive, secondary with another 2 combo elements, and a frame that can proc statuses) which gives you a 110x multiplier. And this is ignoring combo counter damage boost, stance multipliers, and such.

Sure top speed may have decreased with P2.0 but we have free reign of melee choice without being stuck in spawn room and melees are also much much more powerful.

Having to pretty much spam one type of attack on a melee weapon is not very fun or engaging, though. Not to mention that melee weapons that you twirl around you clearing entire rooms without ever touching any of the enemies looks dumb as hell.

I agree that you can make melee work, but it isn't very fun nor aesthetic.

I know it's not fun, it's why I never used it. But it's there. And to be fair, Parkour 1.0 looked just as dumb. Parkour 1.0 was honestly so clunky because of all the super momentum sleeks. You couldn't do anything fluidly. If you touched a wall you rocketed off, if you slide attacked you rocketed off, if you did anything you zoomed away, you were either going far too fast or far too slow. Bullet jumping is kinda slow but you have so much more control on where you want to go and you kind of have this medium between the two extremes that was 1.0.

1. Killing enemies became too slow for my liking midway through the tutorial and I felt absolutely no desire to grind for better parts or levels or anything.

It's the newest autism simulator that allows you to grind for 23719 currencies with indecipherable made-up names and has no real point to any of it.

Also the robots don't actually look erotic in the game so there's little point.

It's a grindy game with lots of grind that appears to have paywalls but everyhing actually behind timegates. If you like the core mechanics (movement, guns, frame powers, modding) you'll have a good time. You have a lot of options for customizing but no clear goals to customize for. There is a bit of depth to it but a lot of the content is horizontal progression instead of vertical so the depth doesn't matter 95% of the time. I like it despite its flaws but not everyone can get over those flaws.
