>"REEE, WHY THE VILLAIN DON'T HAVE A TRAGIC BACKSTORY LIKE MUH ANIMES!"

no he's the bad guys cause he's a white male

As it should be.
Fuck tragic backstories, fuck misunderstood and misguided villains, but most importantly FUCK TURTLES

based

Some people are just assholes by nature or choice

But the main protagonists are also white males.

So why's A-Train a villain then...?

Attached: file.png (489x720, 514K)

Don't bother. they have people living rent free in their head.

>that plane scene
kino as fuck

Some people don't need a reason to be an asshole, user. They just are

He was raised in a lab and was never thought right from wrong, he has no moral compass

But there are reasons for why homelander acts the way he does.

taught

>Diavolo
>motives are a mystery
He literally spells it out for you.

absolutely based

I don't know about the comics, but in the show they establish that he's bad because he was raised as a lab rat.

A-Train dindu nuffin. He was just pumped up on drugs. Don’t you feel bad for his girlfriend!?

Amazon's Crossed when?

>only antagonists in anime have tragic backstories

He's not a bad guy. He just wants milkies.

Why isn't Kars the Shit Tier example? His goal was literally Dio's but he actually accomplished it and Genocided his entire race to do it, just so he could catch some Rays and fly around.

In the comics he was just an overpowered jock, but not really bad, until one day he was shown pictures of him doing really fucked up shit of which he could not remember doing at all; and ever since then he started to believe that he should do more of that fucked up shit, since if he already did it at one point then he shouldn't have problems doing it again. It wasn't him who did those things, though.

Is this the most shilled show of all time? I've seen some attempts for network shows no one gives a fuck about but this show has been posted to death

just read the comics, they are not good, but they are better

i cant fuckin blame him

Black Noir show reveal when?

It does seem that way,but the show isn't half bad.

t. Disney employee

>who is Frieza

Two things: one, the show gives plenty of explanation for why Homelander is as fucked up as he is.

Two, an evil character who is evil for no discernable reason is more terrifying than one with some convoluted backstory to explain everything. When you have a character who isn't justified, who doesn't care about your pain and can't be reasoned with and who does womhat they do for the sheer joy of causing pain, that's scary shit.

Give me show Hannibal over movie/book Hannibal any day.

I agree it's being shilled hard in terms of marketing but I honestly really enjoyed it, certainly more than I thought I would. It didn't do anything new or deep but it was damn entertaining pretty much the whole time.

I wouldn't pay to watch it but if you already have Prime, it's worth binging over a weekend.

They already give him a backstory lmao

the ending of this show was actually terrible

>mfw I saw the results in google image when I searched "sex scene the boys"

Attached: 400.jpg (300x400, 133K)

>said no one ever
Why are Yea Forums trannys so retarded?

They're making a second season

It wasn't even really an ending. They didn't cap off anything meaningful. I wish they'd just ordered more episodes for the season since this just felt like another episode in the binge and then it was over.

>ending

Reread the post I was responding to.

the twist was still stupid
of the season I mean

not even pretending to be about video games at this point

>Bad guy is bad because he was born from a vial, raised in a laboratory for the sole purpose of being a tool for a world dominating corporation out to set commercial monopoly on super humans and the military industry.
>Never had real parents, has pathetically deep mommy issues, forbidden to be his own individual person, forced into a fake name, a costume, a fake life and displayed like a puppet
>Has strong ambitions, but is a degenerate pervert like the rest of his posse who is manipulated by a milf who fullfills his mommy fantasies through borderline incest roleplay
>Very emotionally detached and apathetic
>Dude lol he's bad because he's bad.

Maybe pay attention when you binge watch something.

on Yea Forums it feels 20% genuine shilling, 30% ironic shilling, 50% genuine discussion

still a decent show tbqh, but like the other guy said I wouldn't bother paying to watch it

Having read the comics, I'm a little disappointed they didn't have worse shit.

What twist? The wife?

That shit was so heavily foreshadowed I didn't even think of it as a reveal, just them confirming it for the characters in-universe.

Is it ever explained why Homelander doesn't just vaporize Karl Urban and his whole crew? I get they have tools and intelligence, but the guy is a nigh-unstoppable demigod.

He does have a tragic backstory. He stopped being a decent person because he woke up from a perceived blackout and thought he'd already crossed the line. It wasn't him though it was someone else, and he mistook their actions as his own. He went crazy from this.

I didn't get the foreshadowing since they had the scene of the baby ripping out of her but yes that twist, I thought it was stupid

Homelander's backstory is retarded, and it's even more retarded in the comic.
>Someone sends you pictures of yourself committing absurdly violent acts of rape and murder
>Better become a crazy murder-rapist lol

i think he's just saying he saw gay porn

He doesn't know where they are? He doesn't kill Billy at the end because he wants to fuck with him.

They're like ants to him. He doesnt care because they cant actually hurt him, he sort of proved that when he tanked an IED while moving fast enough to get the guy who detonated it away from the blast that was literally in the room. He doesnt care if they kill the others because he doesnt care about anyone.

I think it was meant for the 7 people that read the comics, because it was a pretty big departure from that.

Too lazy,
hea lso probably finds that Butcher being Mega Cucked hilarious and won't allow him to kill himself

The old group that Butcher lead has a bunch of blackmail on them all. If he dies, it gets released.

>what is gaslighting

Works for his character since he lacks a realized sense of identity due to his upbringing (or lack thereof)

>hea lso probably finds that Butcher being Mega Cucked hilarious and won't allow him to kill himself
this

There will be no pizza in the afterlife.

Hate what they did to Stillwell. He's one of the best characters in the comic.

Attached: 1532229291560.jpg (660x1303, 213K)

What to do you expect when you don't let a person mature normally and also give them absolute power? Plus he isn't even outright evil, just ultimately self-indulgent.

Dio is a textbook egotist who’s desperate to surpass his upbringing in shithole, London. The fact that he’s having a blast being evil is just the icing on the cake. Every scene with him in the anime is great because the VA is hamming it up to 200%

Is this another leftist propaganda piece disguised as a TV show?
Unironical question

I heard blond girl has a #MeToo background

Attached: The-Boys-s1-finale-1.jpg (1200x675, 170K)

>lucky valentine
>his entire motive is literally "AMERICA FUCK YEAH"
>Jonny and Gyro know that the corpse is too powerful for the world to use responsibly and is better off sealed away
>valentine's motives are better because things in america would be okay whilst the rest of the world burns

>bad guy is bad because he's a tree

Attached: 878.png (509x572, 40K)

>Is this another leftist propaganda
No, unironically just bad work that is getting pushed because of comic fad and love of deconstructionism
The comic isn't good but they adapted it because of the "WhAt If SuPeR mAn BaD?"

White on white violence shows just how barbaric the white race is.

>bad guy is bad because... he's bad
what's wrong with that?
post the florida man version

No, fuck off.

kill yourself

Nah, elements of it is present but don't let the /pol/tards fool you.

>I heard blond girl has a #MeToo background
Basically one of the heroes forces her to give him a blowjob, she does out of fear of getting fired, and then later she ends up exposing it and ruining the guy's career, but it starts the guy's redemption arc. It's not really a #MeToo backgriound as much as it is a character going through some shit and then overcoming it, it's not the basis of the entire character.
I think it's worth a watch if you have prime already, it's at least better than the netflix capeshit.

I thought the same thing but I actually ended up really liking it. I agreed with all of the common criticism of the show up until about 3 episodes in.

Good villains either are ANTIFA members like the Dayton shooter who finally put a kill streak on ANTIFA's record, or the El Paso shooter whose manifesto was filled with pro-Communist rhetoric and SJW talking points. Nothing like a progressive villain to give some quality to the atmosphere.

I actually don't know about either the comics or the series, I just heard it has some liberal stuff in it.

It has beem literally years since I watched a modern TV show of any kind, and I don't really miss it. But my gf is genuinely interested in watching this so I must know in advance how much faggotry I will have to deal with to it might be easier to avoid looking angry.

If you are someone that resents their parents you can kind of relate to him.
