I always check my healer's gear before I pull big. I have had too many instances where they just clearly throw random crap together and expect to get by. I remember once having a 72 healer still using a fucking 210 free weapon in holmenster

They replaced basically every VA for HW. Almost all of them are vast improvements, Alphinaud especially.

I played the FF14 trial back in 2017. It was great but I had to uninstall because I was spending too much time playing it. I tried again one year later and discovered that all the skills got rearranged and I suddenly had very few useful moves. That was a shame because exploring kits and getting moves from other classes was my favorite part. I struggled to imagine continuing to level up with so few moves so I didnt sub.

yes. check MB, look for things in high demand, go put on a podcast or show and brainlessly grind out a few stacks, undercut everyone on the MB, make consistent money. It used to be really good in Heavensward. Then they fucked it up, and as reparations for this they fucked it up again. GNB and PLD are the fun tanks now, but DRK has an extremely good mitigate.

It's a slightly better Superbolide. You get the really good move, The Blackest Night, at 70. I think DRK's really fun from 72 onwawrds, but it feels like it's missing a lot of stuff compared to other tanks.

You've missed a great deal of things, but you should be able to watch cutscenes in an inn room of your starting town, later in different cities. There's also plenty of dialogue between characters themselves in-between quests that you can't really watch anywhere. I still think even with its worst parts, skipping ARR is a mistake as it does a lot of worldbuilding for the stuff that follows and foreshadows things that happen even in the very last expansion.

You literally just have to use things off cooldown. You can optimize a bit with cartridges, but GNB is as easy as it gets in terms of rotation. Save 1 cartridge for gnashing fang combo, smash that no mercy button when its up and always get bow shock and sonic blow doring that weapon, with 9 GCDs in No Mercy. Like just doing that with NO other optimization will already make you 75th percentile.

I love it when my healer rescues. I hate it when I'm a dumbass and gets hit by phantom rune and I'm walking off the edge and the healer manages to rescue me before I get off the edge.

It's boring. I'd rather get less exp but have a dungeon where I get to access most of my abilities and have rotations or aoe than a place where all I can do is press 1-2-3.

If you do the Sahagin beast tribe questline it's made clear that, yes, while the Limsans FUCKED the Sahagin's spawning ground up, they didn't always do it unmotivated, as the Sahagin are dickass pirates as well and constantly attacking sailors and ships and the shorelines to push their territory. It's made clear it's a battle for survival that the Sahagin literally cannot win, which is why Novv wants some measure of peace with Limsa, to raise his clutch in peace.

The calamity caused by Bahamut wiped out the sahagins' normal spawning grounds. They couldn't find anywhere to spawn again so they raided, killed the inhabitants of, and repurposed a fishing village for a new spawning ground, using Leviathan to do it. The sahagin you help as part of the beast-tribe quests are pretty much the only peaceful ones (or at least the ones amenable to negotiation and deliberation with filthy landwalkers, pshhhh) and even then they fucking despise having to talk to dry-landers about anything.

The Amalj'aa have had an on/off relationship with Ul'dah throughout its history. In the past they've been extremely important mercenary allies, but then other times they get into territory disputes because the Amalj'aa believe Thanalan is their holy land. They didn't become a HUGE problem until the Flamefangs summoned Ifrit. Flamefangs are an extremist religious faction so their Ifrit was fucking bonkers about demanding followers and taking back the holy land and now almost the entire race has been tempered by him.

It seems like Emet and Elidibus told him about the Rejoining specifically to manipulate him into going along with their plans.

As far as we know Amaurotian's aren't physically stronger than normal humans, just magically stronger, and even us as the WoL only benefited from bonding with Arbert allowing us to contain the light better and long enough to fight Hades. It's clearly not as simple as "the more you got the more powerful you become" or else Hades wouldn't treat us like shit since were more than halfway reunited.

Quite a few people have the Echo and it expresses itself in different ways, majority if not all of Minfilia's crew that got killed off by Livia's goons had the Echo.

The patch content after each expansion is the most boring shit, sometimes the story gets good like warriors of dark in HW patch content but most of it is so fucking dull it's hard to dredge through. They straight up make you fight a hardmode primal from Realm Reborn in one of the quests like you havent done it a bunch of times already. Aside from that the story isnt that boring.

The Echo is more than Ascian. It is rumored to manifest in times of Calamities, which likely means Hydaelyn bestows people with the Echo to protect their world. We know there are those with the Echo who aren't connected to Hydaelyn as well, like Krile and Arenvald and the Sahagin priest.

The other possibility is that it has something to do with the weakening laws of existence that also allow for primal summonings. The Battle of Silvertear Skies was the trigger that bent reality enough for primals, and was also the moment that the Echo awakened in mass numbers.

If we reunite with all our Shards it likely means the worlds are reunited and Zodiark is free, and then were most likely boned.

If by chance it happens and the rejoining isn't complete, we'll likely be very powerful, spiritually and aetherically, but unless someone shows us HOW to work our powers, we'll likely still be just a big brute with a heavy, sharp stick.

I like to entertain an idea of a hyper-bad end where Ascians do manage to initiate the rejoining and WoL-Hythlodaeus is fighting alone against impossible odds accompanied by a hyped up Zenos because he's the only one who managed to survive it due to being the Resonant.

You just keep going along with that one Dwarf who can't greet others properly and the end of his questline leads to unlocking /laliho, thats how I did it.

The animation lock is still there, most people that care enough to play DRG learned to time their jumps correctly.

They aren't, they're for Aether Currents, but the questline itself is behind the Aether Current quest so it's missable.

I've got like 300 hours and I'm still a sprout. Just finished stormblood main scenario earlier, but I take my time and have done other things like level other classes/gatherers and side content like baha and alexander and the alliance raids.

I imagine it takes much longer to lose your sprout than it did before since you've got base game + two expacs to go through

Man leveling WHM has been a massive pain through all of the ARR content. Nothing but shitty sprout tanks with awful attitudes queuing for dungeons. My choices for leveling is running dungeons with single group pulling sprouts or the maddening monotony of POTD 51-60.

More likely is in the bad timeline we beat Elidibus along with the other Scions, and force him to retreat, and with the morale boost from beating 'Zenos' and holding the Garleans back, the Eorzean alliance, lead by the WoL and the Scions, push hard back against the Garleans, as Urianger described it "yalm by yalm" until Varis finally unleashes Black Rose out of desperation. Which likely meant in that timeline Zenos was busy trying to hunt the WoL down amongst the warzone, and probably died to Black Rose.

It's still the Echo, and has proved to be just as effective, seeing as how he took over Shinryu with no ill effects, and Shinryu was stated to be as powerful as Bahamut.

The grind is the ass part, but the actual quests range from decent, to actually fun if you're doing the main quests. The HW Beast tribes cut down a lot on the grind and annoyance compared to the ARR ones.
