i hate zoomer timeline. this wasnt supposed to happen, we all thought rts games will never die and they will get better and better, 3d, terrain deformation, detailed units, awesome cutscenes

based game

Stop trying to make every thread about zoomer/boomer shit

>He doesn't know about SupCom

How's that shit taste treating you?

Best C&C

Of course they did you had several of the best games in their genre and of all time release in a period of a few years of each other. People still play starcraft and AoEII daily. They couldn't exactly beat what they already perfected.

Twisted insurrection is good kino

>more units = better
Does Supreme Commander even have a story?

He's a retard for saying liking TibSun is shit taste, but to answer your question: yes, it very much does. The setting is not as rich as C&C but it has its moments. The factions are rather distinct despite 3 out of 4 being different kinds of humans.

Generals was the last good C&C game

they peaked in 1997 you stupid motherfucker

Total Annihilation was a cool game but are we really going to sit here and say that this old game is superior to Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance? C'mon dude.

yes

Technically you're not wrong but SupCom only needs proper water support and revert all the "balance" cancer that, among other things, first made air (particularly bombers) a colossal problem and then started fucking shit up everywhere to account for hoverbombing being a thing.

nobody every liked or likes Tiberian Sun though. It's the 2nd or 3rd worst C&C game ever released

Sounds like someone doesn't remember the bitter rivalry of TAfags vs Starcraftfags on forums in the late 90's.
Shit was like the console wars we used to have on Yea Forums back when it was good.

It's my favorite out of all of them personally, each to their own I guess.

I like to think it peaked with Red Alert 2, before EA had the time to start ruining the franchise. Went downhill from there on.

Still love Tiberian sun, though. Vanilla nod artillery were nuts.

c&c zero hour is fun

It's not a C&C game. Just say "Generals", everyone will understand.

Same
It has a soul no other C&C game has plus insane replayability.

you mean, it's not a story game?
or are you saying that it should be in its own ip?

The latter.

i agree

Why isn't there a decent modern RTS? I'd give anything to play something like WC3, Armies of Exigo, Tiberium Wars, Brood Wars or Battle for Middle-Earth again

>Remake is gonna have microtransactions

Low ROI.

well, rts eventually led to mobas
perhaps once mobas die down we can see them re-evolve to RTS again

I dont see it happening soon though, teamgames allow you to feel good about yourselves and blame RNG/teammates for your own incompetence
In starcraft you had so many people go into rage or go afk when they couldnt handle the loss

theres also the higher barrier of entry, in mobas you can succeed by only learning one champion/hero/avatar/persona but with rts you have to memorize strats for all factions

Yep

I wonder if I will ever get something like tiberian sun again
or sacrifice
or generals
I really want a good, true sequel to them, but I wonder if it's impossible given how the industry works now.

imagine how based it would be without EA fucking around with development and rushing the release

You get a mobile game riddled with micro-transactions, now shut up and consume

Well they are remastering all C&C games as we speak. Hopefully the sales will be good and EA will learn to revive Westwood.

>EA will learn to revive Westwood
Worst possible scenario. While Westwood used to suffer a lot from either feature creep specifically or just poor management in general, EA is only good at one thing: destruction. No amount of money is going to counterbalance detrimental executive meddling, microtransactions and similar cancer, or rushing to meet a holiday sales deadline.

this isn't what I asked for.
It's like asking for a blowjob, but instead a guy comes out with a chainsaw and says he will gently massage my dick with it.
