The gameplay is standard rpg fair. The character designs are done by the Devil Survivor guy(Suzuhito Yasuda). The story and dialogue are pretty fun. They acknowledge that their fanbase grew up along with Digimon, so the feel is a bit more mature.

It's good, it's like an SMT light.
Don't be afraid to grind and use exp boosts. I played through the whole game on hard with no grinding cause I dunno why, I guess I was an elitist at the time. Bottom line, not worth it. I remember one boss fight got to move like 20 times before me. And a lot of the game was like it for me. I think I caved on the final boss and dropped it down to Normal.
Fun though.
