Guilty pleasure.
The Hank and Connor parts are kino.
Love/hate relationship with cage games. I liked HR back in the day but bowed to never buy another shit like that from him, played beyond free on ps+ and now detroit.
Connor parts are great.
I'm not that far in. I finished the chase sequence.
I honestly wish the game culled the shitty bits of gameplay, like when you have to walk around as Markus. It's also really fucking lazy writing how Markus is able to come back from the dead and mask all traces of him being an android so goddamn easily. And I really REALLY wish I could skip the Markus sections since I only care about QT Connor and Clancy "Dante" Brown. Fortunately I chose to just AFK while the fat slob asshole (who is such a boring goddamn walking cliche, holy fuck) and he murdered the daughter for no reason so hopefully that guts most of Kara's content.
>He paid for PS+ for this
I like it.
Well... Yeah, I did. 39 USD (a year) well invested.
Connor is pure kino and the game should've just been him solving cases and finding his humanity to become a cliche detective like Hank
Pretty fun. It’s the only game that marketed itself on “your choices matter” where they actually matter, and it has the flowcharts to prove it. Miles ahead of any Telltale game or those god awful Life is Strange games
It was alright though some of the gameplay is tedious.
I loved it. The Markus and Kara parts are kinda boring, as said Connor should've been the focus of the entire game
That would be awesome. Although I bonded with Kara and Alice and also I like the religious-like story of Markus.
I thought I killed Markus and felt like shit.
cages best work, the detective segments actually made use of the movie game mechanics and they should have just stuck with that. I really didn't care about marcus or the girl that much just conner
dude just press triangle to end slavery and apartheid
The hank and connor parts should have been the whole game.
>FBI guy was great in HR
>Connor was good in Detroit
Why doesn't he just write a no-bullshit thriller?
If I wanted to watch a movie, I’d watch a movie.
Kara a cute, but her plot was shit. She should've taken Marcus's role and he shouldn't have ever been in the game at all. Just do two protagonist, Connor and Kara. Have them meet a few times, have some lingering sexual tension...
We get it user, you're a big hardcore who don't need no kino.
Very brave post.
>sexual tension between androids
Is this Blade Runner?
Why not? Valorie is hot as fuck.
>paying for ps plus or now
>he doesn't know
Explain your comment little boy
You know when you watch a movie you normally can’t make decisions that affect the plot
>THERE ARE ONLY WHITE FEMALE BLACK MALE COUPLES IN THE FUTURE ALSO HUMAN BAD NON-HUMAN GOOD: THE VIDEO GAME
Yeah nah fuck off retard. Try asking like a normal human being next time.
The girl being an android is the stupidest shit ever
Played it on base PS4 and thought it was alright.
Gonna play it again on PC in ACTUAL 4K (no checkerboard shit) and some sharpening filters.
FUCK NORTH
AND
FUCK MARCUS
Everything that doesn't have Connor is pure shit
How the fuck do I SSS rank these combos are so limited
Mate, did you just confuse Hank with fucking Dante?
Sorry no speak good english
>Fuck north
I wish
also hope we can turn off DoF
This the uncensored PC version?
>DoF
Sometimes it's well done
And yet no shower scene
Why did he become so popular?
Well written. Autistic. Gays like him. Clancy motherfucking Brown!
How did your game ended user?
>Connor kills Markus on Jericho
>Hank commits suicide
>Kara and Alice leave the niggerdroid behind
>Connor proceeds to kill the revolutionary thot
>Kara and Alice get shot at the border
>Connor gets replaced by a new model of Connor
during cutscenes i dont mind it, but the game is too blurry
>Well written.
More like the actor adlibbed/changed almost all the ways Cage tried to direct his character.
>Try to get a perfect ending
>Realize the game is pushing for North to end up with Markus.
>Just stand in place when the game tells me to connect with her.
She was the fucking worst.
This is misinformation. There are a few specific things he and Clancy convinced Cage to allow like the wink and the slap but Connor is more or less portrayed how Cage envisioned, none of the dialog was changed at all. The only reason people say otherwise is their minds literally can’t cope with the fact Cage could have made something good.
but nobody would have understood Marcus was supposed to be Malcolm X if he wasn't black
>we interrupt badass deviant hunting buddy cops to bring you mommy simulator and android MLK
connor solo game when
How's that Ellen Page album coming along, Cagey boy?
One of the few games where your choices actually matter.
It should have been hard or even impossible to have a relationship if you play peaceful Markus who literally pisses her off at every possible decision, but for SOME reason you basically have to actively try to fuck up your relationship with her for her to not be willing to handfuck Markus. My first time I went through I got “lucky” and I fake kissed her after fucking up the drone in the plaza and that was a big negative arrow for the relationship which actually locked me out of becoming companions with her, and the story straight up made more sense that way
>tfw making Marcus a violent thug so no one supports Robot Lives Matter
>Then playing Terminator Connor to take them all out
Just sucks that it cucks you out of having Hank like you.
Autism.
Pretty good, want to see it?
>we can't have nice things because of this
Yeah it kind of sucks but it does fit with Hank’s developed character. If your relationship with him is high enough at least you have the option to calmly walk away from the rooftop after talking about his son with him. You can even still kill Markus later when he’s giving his speech, or just let him die to the cops
Women exist who say they want this kind of man.
>Unassuming.
>Autistic.
>Capable.
>Boyish looking.
>Submissive.
That's... me.
>beat hank on rooftop
>save him
>he tries to kill me anyways and fails
fucking hank, i gave you chances to fuck off and leave me alone
The key component that isn't mentioned in also "handsome"
It was the digital deluxe version tho
That explains everything.
Yeah it sucks but once that fight has started either Connor or Hank is falling off the roof. You can only select the dialog to walk away before the fight starts, and even then it’s pretty rare to see since you need really high Hank relationship and maybe high instability too I’m not sure. It’s already somewhat rare to even get the Hank on the roof scene in the first place since if you go full Machine Connor route he’s more than likely to have already commit suicide
I already had Heavy Rain also from PS plus for free.
We need a Detective Nahman Jayden and Connor spin-off
The first half of the game was pure kino, but the latter half suffers from going way too heavy-handed with the political, MUH OPPRESSION and MUH ANDROID RIGHTS angles. Connor's campaign is widely and correctly regarded as the best of the three, in part because it gets the least bogged-down in the larger agenda and is successful in keeping the story focused on Connor and providing him with a full arc. Marcus, unfortunately becomes largely unbearable by the end depending on how you play him, and Kara's story runs out of gas before the end because of its singular focus on the kid.
A Terminator on the inside that looks like a nazi youth. Instant hit.
>make characters act the way you think they would in real life instead of creating your own version of the story
>everybody dies
Still think Raimi went a little overboard with the PC port. Was that dialogue really necessary?
yaoi fangirls, unironically. Forget what they're called in Japan, hiki-something or other
You should see the massive amounts of fans that ship Connor x Hank
Todd did nothing wrong
The Hank and Conner VA's improvised instead of using Cage's shitty dialogue, tricking people into thinking something changed in Cage's ability to write.
Is it just me or does he sound awfully similar to Kaz in this scene?
youtu.be
It's a complete shit QTE-fest written by a mental 15-year-old that appeals to normies by having gorgeous production values and "gameplay" so simple even a literal chimp or a toddler can beat it.
I don't think you "get" the very core concept of an interactive movie. It's not about "beating" it.
How in the hell could this guy afford an android? You can even find bank notices in his house that he's overdrawn and past due on rent. And the other case where the android stabbed his owner, it was the shittiest house...like an abandoned building and you're telling me he could afford an android, too? How much do they cost? $20? So ridiculous.
He already owned Kara beforehand, he was just getting her repaired in the game. Presumably based on the relationship with Alice they probably had her for a couple years back before he lost his job and his wife fucked off.
Kara's little maid outfit is hot. I'd bend that android over and rattle her so hard she wouldn't be a deviant or a machine she'd just be straight retarded
kara a cute
It's a great game.
Why would you not? You get more money's worth in free games than what you're paying for and you get online on top of that.
Ended up being my favorite movie game. My biggest gripe is Kara's story. It goes from interesting, to blatantly political that it becomes so out of place. Jesus Christ, once the Underground Railroad bitch shows up, I couldn't stop laughing. Right after the escape from the creepy guy's mansion, that storyline just went downhill. The other two storylines were kino as fuck though. Should have just made it about them two or integrated Kara into Jericho and add more morally questionable choices. Finally, I love Connor. Goddamn I didn't think I'd start this game and leave loving a character, but right after that first mission he became such a fantastic character. Shame I my PS4 was annoying as fucking with the jet engine fan, but a great experience overall.
>Connor and Markus battle to the death in the final raid on the camps
>Markus barely comes out on top
>Connor pushed Hank to suicide and he himself died like 5 times in my playthrough
>kara sacrificed herself at canadian border security to get Alice across
>he didn't get the secret character
>he was bluffing all along
Booring.
I was so mad when she cut her hair. I saw it coming from a mile away too.
Not a game.
>>
Yeah she looked so much better with the ponytail. David Cage's short hair fetish strikes again
Boo hoo,faggot
I actually bought the game, cope and seethe
its a pretty boring tv show with predictable plot points.
I really enjoyed Detroit, so I bought Beyond and Heavy Rain on sale. I just finished Beyond. It was alright, too much filler though. I felt kinda dumb for not seeing the Aiden twist coming. Not nearly as good as Detroit.
I'm getting ready to start Heavy Rain. What am I in for?
i bought a monthly subscription for 8 dollars and got this “game” and whatever else comes this month
detroit become human is definitely worth 8 dollar no matter what any contrarian says
*i bought subscription for a month
*dollars
>be Kamski
>wake up
>fuck my 10/10 harem of sexbots
>shoot one and call it the Kamski test
>go for a quick swim in my bloodpool
>check out the news while an android mixes and heats my porridge inside their artificial anus
>my plan for turning androids into disobedient religious freedom fighters is going well
>ask if I can eat my porridge from the tap today
>10/10 android chef looks at me uncomfortably
>laugh it off and say it was a Kamski jest
>spend some time staring at the unforgiving frozen wastes surrounding my home
>tell the girls I'm feeling a little Kamski stressed
>receive full body massage by entire harem of naked 10/10s
>have another dip in my bloodpool
>two guys show up
>sperg out at human company, try to get one of them to shoot an android
>they give me uncomfortable looks and leave
>eat alone for dinner
>entire harem watches me eat without blinking, just as ordered
>tell them it's time for my Kamski rest
>go to bed without blankets or clothes, warmed only by my naked androids with heated skin
>feels good to be Kamski
>doesn’t want to play an interactive movie that was developed and marketed as such
>plays western AAA movies and calls them “video games”
It's extremely shit
Based
>Markus gunned down during the RoboMarch
>Kara dies crossing the river, Alice lives on in Canada.
>Connor commits suicide in front of the Robot Revolutionaries in Detroit.
>The Hank and Conner VA's improvised
Is this actually confirmed or just a meme? Based, if true.
Reminder Connor's actor is a literal EThot who hits on middle aged and teen women to get those juicy TwitchBux. Constantly shills twitch prime and treats his wife like shit. The one and only example of a male THOT on twitch. Also dumb as bricks.
real talk, why didn't you wait for the PC port?
Kara not realizing Alice is an android is such bullshit.
How does he treat his wife like shit
It’s not that she “didn’t realize” it, she looked directly at the child android magazine or whatever, its that she was willfully suppressing that information and choosing to live in denial
The character you were play as lied inside their own mind to allow a later plot twist! The old Heavy Rain classic.
Still a stupid twist btw just clarifying that fact which, debatably, makes it less stupid
I don't own a PS4, so I watched it streaming. It's pretty much just a movie anyways.
It was corny AF, but I liked it.
>Reminder Connor's actor is a literal EThot who hits on middle aged and teen women to get those juicy TwitchBux.
Based as fuck.
Anyone else think he looks eerily like the new spider-man
I just finished watching it as well
that it was alright
At least her denial actually made sense and existed in-universe. Shelby was lying in his mind for no reason other than to lie to the player, he knew he was the origami killer the whole time there was no split personality or repressed information, it is LEGITIMATELY a plot hole, whereas in Detroit it’s just a dumb plot point
>constantly talks shit about her gameplay when she clearly is still learning or wants to play her way
>ignores what she says or does, instead reading twitch chat 9 times out of 10. but when he plays he demands her attention when playing
>says passive aggressive shit about her opinions or behavior on stream
>has her manage his emails for him when she expresses she doesnt want to do it
>will go out of his way to announce she is wrong about something, dwelling on it for all of twitch chat to hear even if it was super minor like missing a dialogue option
used to watch his streams regularly but he's an attention whore who values how he looks infront of his audience over the feelings of his spouse. and you can see her upset but not say anything because she knows it will her both their reputations if she does. real shame. that being said shes dumb as bricks too
Are you married to him? Do you know the wife personally?
If neither apply get a life user.

Give me a Connor and Hank game with Gears of War style co-op in a Markus controlled world. Trying to restore order.
With an Streets of Rage/A Way Out kino ending where you can turn on each other and P1 vs P2 is the final battle or you can bro-op till the very end.
Fucking Sony doesn’t want money.
The story lacks nuance. Humans are 100% anti-android and the news is 100% anti-android in order to maximize sympathy for the android characters. The antagonists are cartoonishly villainous, while the android supporting humans are complete saints easily willing to sacrifice their own lives. The 1960s Civil Rights allegories are far too in-your-face. Markus' ability to force freedom on other androids just reeks of corruption rather than an awakening.
I still don't understand why Detroit was picked specifically as the focal location.
>Humans are 100% anti-android and the news is 100% anti-android in order to maximize sympathy for the android characters.
Not true, there are plenty of humans who like Androids like Carl and Rose, and if you're peaceful as Markus the news stories eventually are people who are sympathetic to your cause.
>the antagonists are cartoonishly villainous,
Some sure but others aren't so much. Todd gets a redemption scene at the bus station, Carl's son Leo gets an optional phone message apologizing when you visit Carl's house late in the game if pushed.
>The 1960s Civil Rights allegories are far too in-your-face.
Yep, absolutely true, although this is a very minor point and in no way ruins the game (at least for me).
> Markus' ability to force freedom on other androids just reeks of corruption rather than an awakening.
Not exactly a plot hole considering it was all part of Kamski's plan
>Not true, there are plenty of humans who like Androids like Carl and Rose, and if you're peaceful as Markus the news stories eventually are people who are sympathetic to your cause.
What I meant is human public opinion. Of course there are some humans sympathetic to androids, but the general idea is that androids are second class citizens based on the status quo, which doesn't make sense when they look 100% human.
>although this is a very minor point
It's the entire point of the story's moral.
