This game is so much better than Super mario Odyssey. It's much more Mario than Odyssey ever was. Mario shouldn't be more than straight-forward platforming.

I completely agree. It's by far the best 3D Mario game the levels are fun, it dosent overstay its welcome and the way it introduces concepts and builds upon them is so good.

Captain toad and 3D world use the same engine, and Toad is already ported, so its not a stretch to think 3D world will get ported as well. Especially considering how many Wii/U games got ported already

The idea is right, but the controls are asshole. A perfect game would be a marriage between this and Galaxy or Odyssey. Like the Secret levels in Sunshine when you don't have FLUDD -- those were quality

I will admit I loved the OST for 3D World more than Odyssey. Always felt upbeat to me. I like the different movement options in Odyssey, but 100%'ing Odyssey just feels like a grind.

Never felt an urge to replay Odyssey or collect all the Moons, the open structure of the kingdoms kind of killed it for me too. The only thing I liked about Odyssey were the area costumes but that got old fast. I’ve replayed 3D World numerous times though because I love the music and levels.

Odyssey's a good game. But I don't know, I didn't grow up Nintendo. I don't have a massive boner for Mario just for existing. 3D World is one of the few Mario games I genuinely love and don't just think "yeah that's pretty good."
