The show armor is more like in the book.
He mostly wore black leather jackets with some silver studs to repel monsters from biting him.
Only thing missing is the headband.
Basically book Geralt looked like an 80s metal band frontman.

I will watch it because I enjoyed the 3 games, I also read the first book which was great, should read the others too sometimes.
