Fortnite

I want to hear all of your 100% honest opinion about Fortnite.

I launched it once and immediately lost interest and uninstalled it and the epic launcher. Kids think it's fun and honestly if they enjoy it then who am I to judge. I did worse as a kid.

Never played it but honestly not the worst thing that could have gotten popular, it looks fun enough

Agreed, I am almost certain that the same people that spam zoomer about this game, are zoomers as well.

Doesn't interest me, but damn do they know how to draw in their demographic

so many cute girls, so little porn

I played it at launch and it felt like a really crappy rip off of pubg, don't know if things have changed but I still get the impression it's basically a pubg rip off for consoles without a good port

Looks really fucking boring, never understood the appeal of the genre.

building makes the game unfun for casual play
don't want to learn autism keybinds for building towers in seconds just want to shoot faggots and will never play until they make a mode like that

Attached: 1564013624977.jpg (759x604, 31K)

Building is the only thing that makes the game good. WIthout it, it is just a poor third-person shooter with bloom

I don't see how it's so addicting. Looks like it would be boring after the first 25 minutes

For a free game its great however it has a high barrier of entry now and the map looks disgusting with all the additions added, they should have a classic map (season 3 map) and continuously worked on map

spamming walls and stairs for height advantage and cover is not more fun than just playing a shooter unless you're an autist

The constant updates and map changes are great, Epic does a great job with this game as a live service.
Shooting mechanics are fine.
They make some really cool skins, but they're so overpriced, free game or not
I hate the battle pass system and I hate how this game popularized it. Pay to get the opportunity to play and unlock stuff. It's a bullshit FOMO tactic to keep you from playing other games.
I don't care at all for the building aspect of the game, but I understand it's a unique part of Fortnite and creates a skill ceiling for competitive players. I personally just find it more of a chore and anti-fun.
I'm burned out on the BR game mode but it was fun for about a year. I just don't think BR has the lasting appeal of classic game modes like TDM.

Attached: 1543476608415s.jpg (250x250, 5K)

>the only way that you can build is doing 90's
stop being bad

i would rather my kid play fortnite than pokemon. this has reaction time training, and it doesnt cost anything to play it

Turbo Build + Bloom makes every fight devolve into spamming builds to get close and shotgun each other. Gets old super fast

Dont like BR game mode. On top of the spaztic building mechanics, its a big "Nope," from me.

Attached: 1564466247779m.jpg (683x1024, 78K)

If other devs gave their games even half of the effort that Epic gives Fortnite, we'd be living in a new golden age for video games.
Its optimized, it battles cheaters constantly, its always got new content, its got rotating modes that shake up the game every week, battle pass challenges are interesting, vehicles are nonsensical and extremely fun and the creator mode was a great idea.

Problem is, the underlying gunplay is fucking garbage and building makes the game inherently anti-fun. Its never has and never will be "hurr just learn how to build", its the fact that spamming wood walls and waiting for another player to come past is a legitimate strategy with an extremely limited amount of counters. It got to a point where Ninja legitimately reported someone for killing him through his wood wall spam crying "i have probuild on?".
Also, the Store is built in a way that psychologically preys on children almost as bad as a lootbox does. The idea of "its better because you can choose what you want to buy" goes out the window when you're listing fake prices (which are purpose built to be slightly above a $15 Vbuck purchase, forcing you to buy another $5 worth of Vbucks to buy a single item) on items that are artificially put on a daily/weekly rotation so that children fear that they're going to lose out on buying that skin forever.

Attached: 1555331749815.jpg (367x446, 41K)

But it plays nothing like PUBG, they only qualities they share are BR mechanics. It's like calling R6 Siege a Quake rip off. They're both FPS, that's it.

Attached: 123213455616.jpg (608x811, 226K)

Its ok
Gunplay is fun
building is shit

The battle royale mode will never be anything other than a soulless cash grab and the people who play it are harming the industry

Attached: Fortnite.jpg (1916x945, 238K)

Looks fun but the building gimmick looks boring as fuck.

I think the basic play style is the most unfun, boring shit imaginable, and that was from my limited time with it when the br first launched. It's only worse now, apparently

I was kind of interested in the pve mode they were making for like ten years or whatever but all but abandoned because they couldn't find a way to monetize the shit out of it. I mean, they tried to. There were loot boxes and shit if I remember right.

It's not the end of the world and not the worst fad to happen to games. It will go away in a few years. People just really don't like it more as a reaction to the fortnite generation of "zoomers" being an end of the line, worst case scenario disaster.

I have played the game, kinda challenging while battling pc players on xbox or some other console/mobile. The latest season? The name may be a coincidence or not, but Season X, Iphone X?

>take dog out for a walk
>walk past neighbour kids who are shooting some hoops
>they're talking about fortnight
>throwing around words like "biggest" and "expensive"
it's cancer and is convincing our kids that spending money on virtual weapons/items is a good investment.

Meh.

Tried it once before, was fun for a first time BR game. The building aspect is shit and ruins it.

Apex did it way better.

imagine actually playing a literal children's game and thinking you are good for building towers on 10 year olds using a phone

i remember seeing threads on here before it was popular, thought it was fotm waifubait pubg knockoff

Best battle pass out of the br but the building gimmick is fine and the gunplay is meh

Attached: 1536351444889.png (429x960, 289K)

if every single player is a 10 year old on a phone (which it isn't), then why are you still bad?

Watch a video of "high skill competitive play" and try to tell me it's not the gayest looking shit you've ever seen. The building mechanics just promote a play style that is inherently anti-fun.

Its overrate piece of shits same usual what else?

Hated it when it was popular and liked memeing on it and playing other games but I’ve been playing it recently with friends and I’m enjoying it

Games fun, got kind of stale back in season 4 but holy fuck the whole building mechanic shit is so gay
>Spot some gypsie
>He starts running to me
>Fire gun at him
>Instant tower set-up as he slaps his macros to help him
>Runs toward me slapping every macro possible
Building needs a nerf

I've won enough in that game there's nothing else to achieve. The gameplay hasn't changed from day 1. Hide in a bush, spam towers to win all they've added is gun reskins as new "content" I've got better things to waste my time and money on.

>The gameplay hasn't changed from day 1. Hide in a bush
not my fault you decide to play the most boring fucking way imaginable then complain that the game is boring whilst thinking the only way to utilize the building mechanic is to build 1x1's with it

i try to avoid only online games so fortnite is just not for me

Agreed. Even if you hate the game you have to give the devs credit

I play it most night and enjoy it with friends. Not the same without friends, but there will be times when i do enjoy playing a few solo matches.

Never played it, never will, but from the outside I really dig the character design and many individual environment pieces.
I think that in gameplay the game most of the time looks like a mess, like, engineered to create colorful youtube thumbnails but otherwise I really dig the low poly highly stylization of it. Looks like a fun game for teens, would love to play other kind of game with a similar art direction, hopefully not as bombastic.

Attached: DFAO_Scene_NewMethod.jpg (800x411, 55K)

I didn't say it was boring it's just a game for autistic losers or 10 year olds who can't afford a normal video game

lol calm down buddy if you spent more than $10 on fortnite you don't gotta be mad at me for your wasted money that's on you

I don't understand the name Fort-nite? I get fort as in fortification. What is the nite?
I don't enjoy online competitive games. Not because I'm bad but because I hate hate hate losing

The only thing I have against it is that it's owned by tencent/epic.
It's a passable game for 5 year olds and it's 5 year olds who play it so who cares.

i hate the building because i prefer traditional shooting in my shooting games but it has cool cosmetics i guess. cancerous fanbase though and people who actually spend money on cosmetics are fags

>Kill three other projects and force your employees to work insane hours on a project that most of them hate
>BASED EPIC
Disgusting zoomer trash

Attached: gas.png (505x640, 656K)

I didn’t clarify

The updates and other shit they add to the game is cool as shit with different gamemodes that change the gameplay with free item challenges and when they mess up with some stuff they’ll admit to it but yeah the building is stupid especially when you run into that one spastic that builds a fucking castle when taking a little bit of damage and the item shop is stupidly overpriced with skins costing up to $20 but you still have to give them credit for the updates

the retard saying that its optimized and that the battle pass "challenges" (chores) are interesting must have not played the game in a while either

i really hate the aesthetic and it turned me off so much, that i've never touched the game

shit-tier gameplay

it was a singleplayer basebuilding game at first. i think it was a survival type thing which is where nite comes from, you're supposed to "survive" for fortnites etc.

A very mediocre online game that I personally don't understand the appeal so I uninstalled as fast as I could because I knew it was simply mediocre and not more than that

Attached: 1564285729993.jpg (394x800, 78K)

I swear to god Reddit and Compfags are the most cancerous scourge of this game
They're the buildfags using 90s, autism towers and turtling in 1x1s, whine like pissbabies whenever an update shifts towards fun instead of boring homogenized ""meta""
>Genuinely want the double pump to come back
>Killed Planes
>Killed The Infinity blade
>Killed the Boombox
>Killed the Ballers
>Killed Balloons
>Nerfed the Hand Cannon
>Screech about anything that remotely threatens buildings
>Will inevitably kill the rad as fuck BRUTE Mech
>"REVERT OR I GO APEX"

Attached: 1459980481061.png (240x240, 78K)

Honestly, i respect the fact it's stayed so relevant for as long as it has. The game obviously was pleasing a lot of people's itches.
However, the building mechanic kills it for me.

People argue with me that it's too common of a co plaint and to just give it a go. Thing is, I have, I put a good 75 hours in. Watching pros and youtubers play it is a reltivelt normal BR until you ge t into a 1 v 1 situatipn and hten it's a bunch of spinning and building to see who cna get above the other first. Add in whatever thing they have added in to the mix (Low grav grenades, spring pads etc) and I gte the variety and stuff, but it still comes to the spastic motion of a Monster energy-addled teen with ADHD.

Just not my cup of tea. Only BR I enjoy is Apex Legends.

Gameplay is really, really, really shit. Building is a fucking horrible mechanic that ruins the whole thing. Other than that, it's pretty good.

against my better judgement I'm curious as to what 90s are, i've never touched fortnite

Exactly, so for those who don't like the building mechanic, it's just a mediocre fad.

Jesus christ man calm down, you're allowed to like Fortnite, it's ok.

Fuck me. Sorry for the typos. It's early.

The game is 100% about just building and bunkering up, and every time the devs release a weapon or something that is good against building Reddit and streamers REEEEEE like little children and get seethe.
I don't enjoy the building aspect because it actually discourages you from shooting and playing the game, and if you don't believe me just watch some competitive Fortnite.

Would been a great and fun game if not for the building autism though.

This guy speaks the truth.

Attached: DGWgWCAUMAATVji.jpg (610x705, 104K)

The battle royale genre ruined shooters for several years

The only positive to come out of it is people will realize 100 people can play on the same server, meaning we aren't limited to 5v5 bullshit

The building mechanic doesn't work in a battle royale game. The last 5-10 players always build brick towers and wooden stairs when they get hit.

I've never played it but it looks like a lot of fun for people under 18. I sincerely hope they have a good time with it.

I can't stand when I see people older than that wearing clothing branded with it, though, in a desperate attempt to stave off the ageing process. That shit's pathetic.

I played it once and didn't like it

>>Genuinely want the double pump to come back
that's the 10 year olds who screech about this shit, anyone with a brain realizes double pump was busted to fuck and if it was back in now, it would be shit compared to the current stuff in the game
>Infinity Blade
deserved. The thing was retarded as fuck
>boombox
with tweaking they could have easily existed in the game but epic dont spend time playtesting or balancing and instead just vault shit straight away.
>hand cannon
hand cannon needed nerfing, having it 1 shot every material on first build was retarded. What they should have done is change it to 1 shot wood and brick, but 2 shot metal, and it would have been a better nerf and would promote a more engaging playstyle where you have to consciously think about what mat type you're using.

doing 90 degree turns with walls/floor/stairs to gain heigh in a protected manner. It's quicker than just ramping upwards.

Attached: 4i3jgu8o8am11.gif (280x158, 851K)

Yeah build autism is pretty fucking annoying. It's funny sniping someone from a far and watch them spazz out and erect an apartment complex in 2 fifths of a second but it get fucking annoying when you're doing close range fighting, it just turns into a game of who can build over the other first. The team modes can be more fun when you get this giant shitheap of buildings in the center and you can just build a cosey little hut by the cliffs and snipe fools.

The building mechanic is dumb so I dropped it within the first hour

Building is actually a good casual filter but Epic wants the most money possible by catering to the lowest common denominators and I don't blame them for it.

It exists, gave it a shot to play with my sister and nephew and concluded that it isn't for me, getting the account deleted after was enough of a hassle to become my primary reason to stay away from the Epic store in general.

I think some people freak out too hard about it, both positively and negatively, basically just another PokéMania/Minecraft Mania.

game is pretty fun but the building shit looks difficult

Attached: 1563391480512.jpg (639x574, 217K)

90s are when you build upwards by building up 90 degrees at a time.

Height advantage and cover usually provide a great advantage in a fight and are very important in Fortnite
A normal person would use simple building tactics to provide cover or movement
Some played out "strats" to just run at your enemy while building stairs at them, jump off and shotgun them, build a tall tower and snipe or turtle in a 1x1 box
The mlg pro super autist mode is essentially combining all three or the previous strats into what's commonly known as 90s

Barrier to entry has gotten higher for sure. You can still get a couple wins though if you play your cards right.

the best part of fortnite is busting a nut to cuddle team leader porn

you can get all the basic down in a few days of practicing

I like the 20v20 team mode only. I can't play the normal BR mode, not my thing

Attached: zoot suit daffy.jpg (875x915, 85K)

It's alright, solid game with frequent updates but I don't like shooters enough to play more than I have. People who get upset about the building are smoothbrains mad that they were outskilled by literal 12 year olds.

I like the "pop hip culture" artstyle of the skins. Unlike in Overwatch where you just have some overdesigned shit

Attached: fortnite-outfit-x-lord.jpg (875x915, 78K)

it's the videogames equivalent of being a facebook user. a yellow star for the digital lobotomite

just figured something
that building mechanic is arcadeish/instantaneous for a more high pace/tempo gameplay is probably due to them being UT devs
any other devs would probably make "building mechanic" on a shooter slow and locks you in place for a more "tactical" feel instead

I mean, it's popular for a reason. I play it a lot when I just want to get high and shoot stuff mindlessly. I don't think anyone has ever made the claim that it's a flawless game but I do think it's fun.

No the reason for that is that the building mechanic is straight taken from the "base game"(fortnite was a PvE game before the BR mode) when they did the BR mode in a rush.

Same, I pretty much play only Rumble as well. I did really like that Normandy Beach or whatever mode a couple weeks ago, hope they do more shit like that.

More of a game than the autistic VNs Yea Forums plays.

It’s fun when you play it with friends, other than that is boring, this also counts for every battle royale.

needs more midriff skins

>randomly join a scrim lobby
>endgame was intense and thrilling buildautism against storm and other players
buildlets will never learn this feel. I'm not good enough to bother joining actual scrims but unexpectedly ending up in one makes for fun times, especially when you sabotage those who are clearly practicing for endgame

>fun when you play it with friends
you could say the same for any game you braindead retard, zoomers are fucking cancer

I played the game the week it came out and it was a lot of fun. The skill gap got too high so it’s not as fun anymore. Ironically the building is what killed the game

its not a gimmick retards, building is why people play fortnite. otherwise everyone would of fucked off to apex legends long ago

Mad because you don’t have any smelly neet?

beach assault

youtube.com/watch?v=JxFVzVhQFnA

Attached: AS-Overlord.jpg (250x249, 11K)

it's better quality than the dumb shit that was popular when I was a kid

Haven't played since s7 but I had like 600 solo+squad wins. I came back and still won as usual. The only thing that's changed is everyone can build now.

That's because kids love gimmicks.....95% of the population playing this game is around 12 years old.

It keeps all kids in one place, what's to hate about it?

>unironic fortnite shill thread absolutely filled with buzzwords
how did Yea Forums fall this low

Attached: 88888888888888.gif (278x288, 228K)

When i was zoomer aged we did nothing but play garbage on newgrounds and other flash sites

Please enlighten us with your favorite games for us to decide whether or not it has gimmicks.

Rainbow 6 Siege, CSGO, Tekken, Apex.

:^)

I only play it for the backstory

Attached: 54f0b9512fc9ab1023b50f118734450e.jpg (300x450, 17K)

I played the game for like 2 weeks before I got banned for "cheating". When I tried to contact the support they just sent automated responses that assured me that I was in fact cheating (I absolutely wasn't). Apparently this happens a lot and it seems the only fix is to personally contact some of the employees through spamming them on every social media platform including reddit.

Attached: 1418550661298.jpg (500x333, 16K)

wow this shit is eyerape

Not sure why Epic is hellbent on having one version of the game. They could just make Ground Game a permanent buildlet mode with their new shit, and leave arena for the builders.

They should make a ninja skin

It's hilarious how both sides of their fanbase believe Epic is killing their game, though for different reasons.

I can see why it appeals to kids, it's a pretty simple concept of the battle royale gameplay with a bright and cartoony coat of paint over the top. It's to PUBG what team fortress 2 was to Battlefield 2.

Personally I've played a bit but couldn't get super into it because I found the building mechanic to detract from the shooting gameplay and 1v1 fights are less won by use of the environment and more by who can spam-build a tower the fastest. It's just my opinion but I would have preferred it if you had to stand still in order to build shit so that the base building is something you have to do when you feel it's safe to do so rather than your immediate response to being shot at.

my normalfag friend made me try it. I guess I can see the appeal, but I just thought it was extremely boring. nothing stood out

Just play unreal tournament

Boring solo. Fun with friends.

Give me Tsuki and Cotton Eagle Eye art now

Sweaties ruined the game.

I started playing back in Season 3 and you could enjoy the hell out of the game. But once everyone was a sweaty builder. 95% chance you'd just lose a fight if you got anywhere near them. The other 5% is crowning with a shotgun for 200 against them. Can't even fight them.

The modes like team rumble and the event modes are pretty cool. But I will say I would only play it for the artstyle right now. Apex is a game for actual fights that aren't autism retardation.

Played it when it came out, was fun for 2-3 weeks but couldn't stand the building desu

Seems ok, played it only half a dozen times, i got the battlegrounds bug back when that first blew up so i was pretty much over the whole battle royal thing by the time fortnight was on the scene.

I got 2nd place in my first fortnight game, but i had extensive BG experience and am an old boomer quake 2/3/UT player and pretty much always was a top 10 finish in BG so take from that what you will about fortnights average skill level, i have no doubt good fortnight players would wreck me obviously, but personally i think its mostly a casual meme game.

Im just mad epic killed UT and Quake Champions is dying because nobody gives a fuck about arena shooters anymore. Overwatch can fuck off too.

mechs are fun

I like the action figures

>t. i didn't improve and am still shit even after playing for a year

I played it once and made it to 30 with no fucking clue of what weapons were good or how to jump or build or read the map or heal or reload. Pretty much just pressing random buttons and running in random directions and I outplayed more than half the server.

Based on that I'm confident that it's a game for babies and if I actually had time to learn the mechanics I could be a pro Fortnite player.

damn guys we got a Pro Gamer here

I want a 50 vs 50 space dogfight game.

yeah, I'm also a pro at Candy Crush and Putt Putt Joins the Parade and Mavis Beacon.

I don't like being sniped.

that might just be a matter of gitting gud

don't play it. i think the building is kind of cool, the skins are nice. i just fucking hate battle royale

I have fun with it but I can't get into the BR mode that much. 20v20 feels like a fun TDM mode.

StW is okay too

its a genuinely terrible concept for a game
the only reason it is popular is because its 100% free to play it online on console
you dont even need subscriptions or anything

I don't like the constant flow of new small content every week or so.
It can sound retarded, but in this way your audience get used to play the game just for the new shit, and immediately lose interest until the next small drop of content is released.
It's a system than promote smaller, shitty updates that do very little in terms of general game evolution in favor of instant gratification.

I play a few hours a month. But when I play tf2 or apex. I don't auto-lose and can actually fight better players. It's just I'm not as likely to win.

But my only way of beating a sweaty is not even fight them. At best I cuck them by breaking the foundation of their castle or getting the crown. You can't fight if you're not an equal. That's the mechanics of the game.

multiplayer games need small updates like that to keep interest

Building ruined it for me. I like to focus only on movement and aim only. But if you look at it rationally, there's no other game with amount of support and stream of content as Fortnite. That's the thing that holds it up so much imo. Just look at what online games released past 2-3 years they are all fucking shit compared to Fortnite

I'm just sad that it took off specifically because of BR and not the PvE it was made for in the first place.
I want to autistically mow down waves of AI enemies, not autistically build a 5-star hotel because I got shot at by someone a mile away.

Attached: 1496610096980.jpg (240x240, 5K)

both games suck

I haven't played it but gameplay-wise it looks like it's the best of Battle Royale shooters. The thing I dislike about it the most, and why I don't play it, is how it panders to young teens in theme, gimmicks, graphics, etc., but it's also why it's become so popular so I don't blame them.

Solid game not for me.

I know.
I went back to killing floor 2 and mass effect 3 for my horde shooting kicks when I realized they'd never touch up the pve.

really cool, i thought building was a neat mechanic i got bored though and havent played it in like a year

Attached: 1528271732321.png (653x533, 251K)

I tried the co-op PvE mode in PvP back then and it's unironically more fun than StW. The latter's now only a cesspool of afker. Hell I even believe most of the players in StW don't even remember how to shoot, they just copy trap designs they found on videos and afk.

>optimised
lol

Attached: penny.jpg (377x715, 53K)

At least Epic is doing something right, updates. Also they don't care about the SJW, they always release sex appeal skins to get that cash.

First two seasons were fun

Building spam is retarded, shooting is meh, artstyle is meh, skins and dances makes me want to look away, events looks cool. Not worth playing.

The worlds biggest Battle Royale RNG-Based loot & spray patterns-based game designed to attract kids with gameplay gimmicks & art design, and attract tryhard teens & adults with "complex" building & mechanics, all fueled by the desire to sell as many V-Bucks as possible.

This game is a soulless cash grab designed to hook all types of players in hopes of enticing them to buy V-Bucks and sink countless hours into the game, hoping to achieve another win.

It's practically a complex gambling machine, gate-kept by the initial learning curve, that hooks people into becoming addicted to the game, and into spending $$$ on skins.

Literally once you get good at the game you really just land, hope you get good loot, hope the circle is kind to you, and hope you get the positional advantage on your opponents.

Meh, let people enjoy it.

it's killing gaming
i thought it couldn't get any worse after the moba craze but here come streamers and zoom zooms discovering the battle royal genre

>Season 9 introduces Wargames
>People build defenses so good you don't need to do anything at all and you win
>This is a problem in Ebin's eyes so they gut Wargames rewards completely and remove the "afk modifier" Husk Swarm even though people were capable of AFKing other modifiers as well
>Meanwhile the low level areas are still full of people who are either AFK or "trading" guns
>And nobody is playing in the high level areas anymore so unless you have friends who play you're out of luck
>All of these problems and the game isn't even free yet
>But here's a locker guys you said you wanted it

Attached: Ken.jpg (805x1009, 67K)

it's fun with friends but building got annoying and gunplay is still shit, shotguns are overpowered

the definition of a soulless video game

A soulless cash-grab, intended for 12 year olds with access to their mother's credit cards, and autistic fully-grown tryhard """gamer twitch streamers""".

I had an alright time with it. I was lucky enough to stop playing halfway through season 3

It reminds me of Ready Player One.
Moving away from games as art, a competitive virtual playground where addicted players wearing random skins compete against each other in random activities, the design goal being to get them to spend money.
Completely and absolutely soulless.

It's the game of this era for kids, just like it was for minecraft, no one should judge them, especially boomers
forcing your opinion to say that it's bad doesn't make you appear smarter than the kid just because you play muh old games and be a nostalgia fag

lol gaming died a long time ago when all AAA devs lost all passion

What if I like new games too, just not soulless cash-grabs like Fortnite?

I would play it without building mechanics. I'm too old for this new shit.

Couldn't have said it better myself

remember to shit on all the people who think StW is going F2P this season, because it ain't going f2p
i mean, look at the state of the game, it's a fucking alpha and the game looks so unfinished with boring quests and same like gameplay
When i say Epic should copy warframe i mean really, just add a giant world or map to navigate or a hub, just like the trailer showed, just hoping for something new or interesting

I was getting worried
I know it's a lot to ask
I really can't leave without it

I like the artstyle. One of the few games that didn't follow the overdesigned fugly meme like Lawbreakers. Apex did.

Didn't play it, not into competitive TPS. If people like it good for them.

Hated the idea of a BR game but my friends talked me into trying it. I was bad at it but we were bad together. I got better than them and they got tired of the game because they were bad at it. I played alone for seasons and the game got stale and repetitive. Every fight bogged down to the same thing. Pop shots at a distance but it's mostly useless because Epic buffed wall spam. So you ramp rush or use other forms of closing the gap to begin the shotgun wall spam edit plays to determine the winner. It got old fast and I don't understand how people keep on playing it. Season 9 was my last season and I feel freedom from it.

last time i played was exactly a year ago when i frind came over and we were drinking to prepare for clubbing later
it looks like to get good you have to learn how to build fast which is to much autism for me
also last games i played online were monster hunter world and MGSV so theres that

I haven't seen this faggot in months. I don't do that boring garbage survivor gamemode and I only save the chucklefucks who are being attacked by a roaming pack of husks.

They should make a new map which is just a bigass city and building is turned off but building destruction still exists.

I only like the skins.

cute girls boring game

I'll stick to Minecraft for my overrated game, at least you can have creativity in creative mode in that game, survival is boring as hell though

I enjoy their artstyle, advertising, and overall marketing but the gameplay isn’t for me. I don’t like Battle Royale games

It's meh. I'm playing Styx:Shards of Darkness and Factorio right now. Now those are fun games.

It Was fun but Need skill to build and shoot at the same time. meaning git gud

Never played it and never will.

>people here actually play or played this trash
way to out yourselves as underage and cum.brained

Never played and never will.
As far I've seen the gunplay is retarded and I still don't get the building mechanic.
The game being simple is a good thing, since It's easier to keep adding new content and stay relevant, unlike others Battle Royales like Apex Legends and PuBG.

it's like the whole "doom clone" thing back in the 90s
PUBG was the first battle royale to become mainstream and well known, and Fortnite came out right during the first wave of PUBG bootlegs (mobile and not)

>not being a fully clothed fuccboi that looks intimidating

I played a few rounds with a friend who's obsessed with it and wouldn't stop pestering me to try it. It is simply not good. I genuinely cannot wrap my head around how it's loved by so many people.

Attached: show us your feet love.jpg (640x854, 57K)

I'm just glad Overwatch got fucked.

It's ok, but I love how every family let their wallets get fucked because little timmy and jimmy didn't know MTXs cost money. It happened to many people I know and it still keeps happening

Attached: 1471974596493.png (255x255, 112K)

Play it and even bought skins just so I can "fit in".

It's stupidly easy to get through matches if you just gradually make your way to the middle, hiding whenever you can and trying to avoid direct confrontations. Only fuck-up is me pissing myself and missing shots up close.

I play it in small doses, it's okay
It's also the only game with bunny skins in it so it's a huge plus, there is nothing better than a bunny girl

Attached: ea535fa8aa23fc6161dba341252fbdc5.jpg (720x1280, 59K)

yeah, I managed to play it twice before uninstalling

I don't like autism fort building aspect of it since it hinders the shooting mechanics. I like the skins and general art style they've gone for though.

>wear a dark skin
>find an automatic shotgun
>find a high up place
>camoflague behind a tree or something
>kill fucks

I never snipe in other shooters, but it's fun in this game for some reason. Probably because the map is so huge so you can hide for a long time.

Attached: 1548416434123.gif (349x367, 1.7M)

*fuck I meant automatic sniper

It's a fine game. Played a bit with my friend on "LAN" and we had fun, even won one game for the first time. Dropped it because the building part requires lot of practice and the game was going to be more bloated with stuff everyday.

Attached: platypus.jpg (1058x845, 81K)

The game strikes me as something that would benefit from a Halo style map editor

Underrated post.
The biggest crime of this game is having such a fantastic art direction that allows them to create some of the BEST cosmetics I've seen a game have, but it's locked behind a 20$ barrier for one fucking skin.
That's not worth it no matter how amazing the skin is.

Building is also extremely autistic, you can't even hope to become remotely good until you become what you hate about the game, a sweaty fuck that looks up guides online on how to be a pro gaymer ninja.

>interested but never played it
>like the idea of free battle royale
>like games with upskirts
>hate the epic games launcher, i barely touch steam and only for playing with friends, and i barely have those too
>i dont like the instabuild part of the game

I played three matches with friends.
We lost the first two and won the last.
After winning that one match, none of us felt any urge to go back to it.

Rumble is the only fun game mode.

I got the game for free from a streamer back at the launch of STW in 2017. In fact, I got it a week before launch, and I got a $60 version because I was watching a paragon streamer who had been given like 80 copies to give away.

I absolutely HATED it. The streamer hated it, everyone hated it who played it. We all dropped it about a week after it came out, along with just about everyone else. But we came back when BR released, and it became the sleeper hit it did. I really enjoy the BR, even still, I play usually one or two matches every couple days (or rather, usually 4-5, with 1-2 lasting more than 2 or 3 minutes). I think building is an interesting element that's just not found a right balance yet. You never want to build anything but wood because the ideal is mobile. and it takes almost a full second for metal to have more hp than a wood wall has at spawn in, which is RETARDED.

>You never want to build anything but wood
The fuck are you talking about? Wood is the worst material to use late game because of how quickly it melts. All you see is people using metal. Why write such a long post when you’re bad at the game?

It's an alright fun casual game - with the developer having constant updates to keep the game fresh. Sadly from it's BR launch its devolved from a cartoony casual take on the BR genre to a buildspamming nightmare. The building aspect is busted and if you're a new player you will get absolutely stomped on my twitch niggers who macro keybind builds in an attosecond. It was a fun cool gimmick ported from the PvE mode but has gone out of control. When the BR mode first released in its initial months it was used sparingly and made the BR experience a bit more forgiving since you could extend the TTK compared to PUBG where you would just instantly die

Personally I think it has unironically the best cosmetics currently in modern gaming (albeit a bit overpriced if you don't have the PvE mode which gives out the premium currency) there's a skin for everyone's taste - although it is psychologically fucks with you with FOMO and making you impulse buy emotes/skins

All in all it's a alright game to sink some hours into if you can get past the learning curve - it doesn't deserve the majority of hate it gets (although some of it is well deserved)

save the world actually is pretty fun while the battle royale mode is okay?

Never played, never going to, not my style.

>every single vehicle they've introduced to the game has been removed except the hoveboard and the new mech
>and reddit is furious about the mech and demanding it's removal

Well fuck you, leather man!

>the fortnite thread is the one thread on Yea Forums right now with actual thought-out points, minimal shitflinging and bait posts being ignored
wtf I love fortnite now

why the fuck do they put their own credit card info there in the first place? they should've just created a "family card" or some shit banks often offer you that has limits and stuff.

StW is probably the most neglected game of all time, without exaggeration.

Epic is worth, what, $15 billion fucking dollars at this point? Yet StW gets sparse updates that more often than not find new ways to break the game, and long requested features take an eternity to actually come to fruition. People had been asking for emotes and the locker in general for an absurdly long time and only just now did we only get emotes. They act like they don't have the money or resources to show that they care about it.

Game is truly not P2W and isn't built to be P2W, which is kind of rare nowadays. Devs are ok and update game regularly which is cool (aside from epic store shit which is its own thing).

There's a really large amount of autists that nolife the game and get retardedly good at building, but I can't be assed to learn that new skillset. I still think it requires skill, just a different type of skill than shooting. I played STW back when it was still in beta and I still like the game mode, it's relaxing. Just wish devs paid more attention to it.

It's a good game, and literally nobody should have an issue with it. Boomers that don't like it should be happy it keeps the 12yr olds away from their game. Zoomers like it. It has a solid business model and isn't P2W like, say, Apex.

Played 4 rounds in a group, won 3 of them.
I absolutely cannot stand building mechanics, navigating ad-hoc mazes was okay, atrocious shooting mechanics.

>save the world actually is pretty fun
wait until you get to Twine and realize there is quite literally nothing to play for or do
but before that its extremely fun and theres quite a bit to do/learn

>Apex
>P2W
what

I played it for over a year, got bored I never came back

It seemed alright, I don’t understand the obsession with it though.
At least it helps keeps children off of the online games I play.

It gets boring and repetitive

you're saying this as if reddit is the main reason for the previous vehicles being removed
The only other vehicles people had issues with were Baller and Planes. Albeit, both were ok after the nerfs but provided too much mobility
This patch they decided to remove Quads which literally nobody asked for, and no one asked for ATKs to be removed either. Shopping carts were removed due to how obselete they were once Quads/ATK's entered the game.

Turbo building made defensive options too good and also hard counters impatient people like me. If I hit a good sniper shot, I feel like turbo building hard cucked me and I quit the game the following season. From seeing random streams, they also didn't change enough for the map for me to care. They change POIs, not the areas between them which is where you tend to travel and fight most of the time.

The grind for heroes is stupid long, and tying unique abilities to heroes has too much of a possibility of the devs releasing OP chars to take in the easy bux, like LoL does.

On top of that, the devs are stupid slow in patching stuff and nerfing/buffing parts of the game. Look how long it took them to buff caustic and gib

I miss the servers based on what you're using, I only have a ps4 and now 9 out of 10 players I encounter have mouse and keyboards and build like their lives depend on it

BR mode sucks unless you're a twitch whore. It's not fun to farm shit and suddenly get killed and have it all end there.

Team Rumble da best

literally sunk huge amounts of time into a map editor for the game. they host community games ssometimes including prop hunt.

It has one already, has for awhile. The game already has prop hunt, some beach defense Attack/Defend mode, and tons of other shit.

when other games copy fortnite's battle pass system, they forgot to copy one thing that made it appealing:
the ability to regain the currencies paid for the battlepass, and then some
this made those with a certain lack of self control to instantly buy the next one and so on and kept them playing to clear the battlepass levels
free currencies even without the battle pass and that one time giveaway means there are even freeloaders that gets roped in into the scheme

I've played it before with a friend and we both had a blast together, but after a few days we stopped playing it completely. Each game was exactly the same to us. A few days ago I tried playing it again, but in each match I kept dying after 2 minutes before even realizing that I was being shoot at. 4 matches later and I uninstalled it. I just can't understand how people can play it for the whole day.

DEEP DARK FANTASY

Learned about it when Epic games came to DragonCon in 2012 or 13.

Back then it was based solely on building in an open world and surviving larger and larger waves at night.

Gave them our emails for alpha/ beta access. Didn't hear shit for over 5 years, forgot about it and stopped caring.
Still have a paper hat from the fictional burger joint they gave away.

It's the chemo the western industry needed.
It's killing EA and ActiBlizzard since Epic got all the kid market (which AAA studio rely on to survive)

Dang thats a nice akin

So you're saying you used to be an autistic ten year old loser who can't afford normal games?

Are fortnite players so dumb that they don't realize this sentence makes zero sense?

It’s decently enjoyable but just about any battle royale and any battle royale game mode is on the same level it’s nothing special

It looks nice and has lots of constant updates, and 50v50 is fun. Building is fucking annoying, if you shoot someone you have to enter this autistic keybind mashing build fest. I think they had a mode where there was no building, so if that comes back I’ll try it again.

I miss the C4 and the Boom Bow

Attached: bzd.png (100x100, 8K)

Shooting is quite possibly the most stale and unsatisfying that I've ever experienced, which is hilarious since that's what you'll be doing most of the time besides building. The building aspect itself, I can't say much since I'm not the best at it. It is what it is.
50v50 is enjoyable and I give it props for keeping it "fresh" with the constant updates it rolls out. I can see why it's popular, but it's not for me.

It's shit.

FUCK ROBOTS
