MK was the only one I legit felt was not fun to watch at all.

The rest: Who gives a fuck? clearly nobody because they didn't get as many views

A non-fighting game got the most views. EVO is a joke from here on out.

Needed more Mortal Kombat, that's currently the top dog in fighting games, so there was no reason why it wasn't front and center for the whole event.

The fighting game renaissance is ending. Out of all these games only Smash and Tekken have any staying power with their latest releases. These things come and go in cycles. In another decade fighters will rebound and become very popular again just as they did around the time of SFIV. The new faces of today will be the veterans of tomorrow.

UNIST was pretty enjoyable and that's from someone who doesn't really fuck with anime fighters.

Because Japan hates MK.
Personally, I thought it was good, but I am really getting tired of Cassie and Centron.

I didn't watch all of the main games but I think I enjoyed Tekken and DBFZ the most.

Special mention to the UMvC3 side tourney because Ghost Rider was SO CLOSE to getting 1st place

UNI Top 8 was good as long as you weren't really gunning for an underdog story or anything. Not super nailbiting most of the time, but good play.

Unist just because it's fun, SFV and DBFZ both had a similar story but DB is a less enjoyable game to watch then SFV.
Took a nap during top 8 of Tekken even tho I watched the rest, it's a boring game to watch.

I actually liked BBTAG since it got the RWBY half-sisters against S.E.E.S. and Mitsuru being deleted

I only caught the top 4 of Smash and liked the gigantic choke against MKLeo

I'm tired of all Geras. Someone nerf that man and buff up the unused characters. No ninjas at all which is a disgrace. Next year its going to be all dlc characters like how mkx ended with that alien predator bullshit.

Format was pretty stupid for having best of 5. Shit ran too long. E league rules are utter shit. Worse than when bob vs bob tekken 6 we had years ago.

I haven't played any of them because I'm not underage or post-op.

Did not watch UNIST or BBCTB to the extent that I can make judgement. But I know for fact UNIST was probably pretty high up for everyone involved so bonus to them.
SC6 > DBFZ >Tekken 7 > SamSho > SSBU > SFV > MK11
SC6 overall was the most fun and unique. Just all around hype with so many great moments. Live thread was amazing for this. Legit just pure hype.
DBFZ had the best overall matchup between GO1 and SF. Whether you like it or not this was a year long story line that culminated perfectly. GO1 bursting into tears...it doesn't get better than this.
Tekken 7 was just great. It's Tekken. Arslan made it just so much more interesting for the future. Hype moments. The finale was not neck and neck as DBFZ was for instance.
Hard time deciding where to put SamSho I mean fucking amazing moments, but nothing too amazing overall. This game has a limited taste, but when it hits it fucking hits. Infiltration winning was a great comeback story.
SSBU it had it's moments. But honestly the hype in smash just doesn't get me going like the other games. It only get's hype when someones about to win, and the one off chance something actually cool happens. When cool shit happens tho it's cool, no denying that.
SFV had one cool moment at the very end.
MK11 was a boring sweep by SF.

SC6, suprisingly good, top 8 finals were atucally the best. 9/10
DBFZ boring until top8. Even then only go1, fenri and sonicfox had good fights, but that grandfinals match was easily one of thes best matches at evo
T7 - pools and top 64 had better matches then top8. Knee picking paul/kaz/jin at the end was hype though 7/10
SFV - boring, had some good matches near the end 6/10
Samsho - another surprise of good games. A little too much genjuro but the finals were intense. 8/10

I think the renaisance is still going strong. With capcom not having a hold on the FGC, more players are trying out more games. Tekken is still growing, SC6 and samsho had a strong start with season2 confirmed for both, the unist community proved they could be at evo and got more popular through exposure, Ultimate just began its big reign finally killing melee, and were even getting new games with Kof15 and Guilty Gear. These next few years are awesome for any kind of fighting game fan whether you like traditional stuff, 3D fighters, or smash.

I fully agree. The slightest interest I had watching it was when some guy switched to Kung Lao only to get stomped and immediately pick back to a Geras mirror. I think I ended up enjoying Crosstag top 8 more only because of how awful mk was and it was the first top 8 I saw after. Honestly SC was easily the best one. I enjoy the game but did not expect top 8 to be that great

They gave it a season 2 at least be glad for that just fucking sucks of all the games to get the reveal ruined by Evo technical difficulties was sc6. Though the only game that would have been worse for that to happen was the new GG. Should have happened to Crosstag

I was also impressed by how balanced smash ultimate was. The first four matches all had different characters in them.

I don't watch Evo but I just know Samurai Shodown is going to be the worst. I actually like the game but it's incredibly dry to watch. It was like this with the older games too.

DBFZ grand finals was the best it's ever been
Tekken was sick but I don't think it could touch last years' Majin run. Nobi is always great to watch, Anakin was great and Arslan/Knee was way better than I thought it would be, but overall it was missing the charisma that Tekken's golden boys (Majin, Rangchu, Jimmy, Qudans, Dimeback, Jeonnding, Chanel) always bring

I watched it and I can't really describe it myself. It's just so uninteresting. Something that did catch my attention a lot was that oki was non-existent and that blocking was way too easy.

Samsho was good aside from the Genjuro army getting tiring by the end. This was partly because Justin Wong, a lame player laming it out with Tam Tam, went out relatively early. Also grandpa Valle winning his set was great
