The Sensui arc wanted to get all morally grey 'what's truly good and bad perspectives blah blah' but ultimately couldn't see it through to the end or tie it all together completely. It's why the arc just kind of drops off in quality completely once SACRED ENERGY ARMOUR shows up. It all just turns into a mess that failed to meet the hype.

It's the most acclaimed arc of the show. You literally don't see this besides on contrarian sites like here and because of the ending, which is Deus Ex Machina, but still incredibly entertaining and like two trains crashing into each other. Spend the entire arc being completely outclassed, without a chance, just to have the villain brutally murdered in cold blood as a play thing. I mean, Pitou in HxH too I guess, but same author
