4:3 is the Patrician aspect ratio. Widescreen/16:9 has ruined every visual medium it has cursed. Just look at games and anime from the 90s and compare them with games nowadays. The composition of the screen is way better with 4:3 since there is more focus and symmetry. It's like looking through a window into a new world - complete immersion. Looking at a widescreen, you can't ever get immersed as well. If you don't trust me, try to play a game on a CRT on some OG console from the 90s/early 2000s.
