You visit her when you go to Yangus's hometown, near where you get the ship. She also joins the party fairly late into the 3ds version.

Where I stopped playing was after going into that dungeon to fight Dhoulmagus, seemed really close to the end. Then I remember going up to some hugely elevated area. Did not have her at that point. I figured Angelo was the final party member.

I'm hearing very far, and under halfway, to better describe it, I distinctly remember going to some kind of possible underground pyramid or spooky subterranean dungeon to fight Dhoulmagus, kicking his ass, and then going to some elevated landmass with a dome or something. This was legit 10 years ago probably. And this is only around halfway through the game?

It's pretty hard without Multiheal but doable. You basically just have to get good RNG.

I've been trying to slog through FF14 to get to all that exciting story business at the end everyone keeps talking about, I haven't given myself time to play other games since I'm afraid I won't commit to one or another. Maybe I should just give up on FF14, it was only really to relate to friends and coworkers anyway

When I think of turn based RPG difficulty, I think of getting wiped over and over in Final fantasy legend 2 in the Apollo fight. Knowing how much of a difference the right RNG can make in a fight like that gave me hope for any challenge.

Plus you need to grind to get that spell, and if you don't know that get ready for backtracking...

He felt like a final boss around half-way and he also had a final form.
I remember Dhoulmagus having some bullshit moves that hits multi targets with some high dmg for that point of the game and with his other 2 clones things were worse. So, with bad rng if you didnt heal everyone every turn and everyone, you could lose pretty easily, without Angelo's multiheal it was way worse and fight drags a lot
I also remember around that point not giving a fuck about raising the monsters, which could be a big help against bosses like this

I passed Dhoulmagus on my playthrough, I don't remember whether I had it or not. I just remember that Angelo and tittymonster both had heals. Do you have to do something special for it, or just grind?

And no healing or saving inbetween fights. If you failed you had to do everything again and i think you can't skip cutscenes at least in the ps2 version
