The best vocaloid song is World's End Dancehall.
The words are absolute torture to read.
Freaking what the heck were they thinking making these the lyrics?
It makes the dumbest and most vain pop songs I have ever heard before look like the prose of Shakespeare.
It's a classic before more songs became more popular. Besides it's not even that bad.
It's better than PoPiPo and a few other classic ones.
Someone explain cūmbrain.
As a total casual not invested in Vocaloids in the goddamn slightest beyond enjoying the Project Diva games, best songs are Rolling Girl and Karakuri Pierrot
This is the only Vocaloid song that I like. And it's not seem to be popular. What's with the fanbase?
youtube.com
Best song in Mirai:
>Kimi no Taion
in F:
>Secret Police
in X:
The Lost One's Weeping
Can't speak for F 2nd or FT yet.
I like it. It's also kind of iconic for Miku's idol diva personality.
This is my favourite btw
youtube.com
>here must be a better way to experience Hatsune Miku.
Dont get all your songs from the games.
youtube.com
I don't care for Hatsune Miku or Vocaloid at all, but I like The World Is Mine
the lyrics are indescribable cancer, though
Could be because that song is an arrangement of another song. That song isn't on Livetune's youtube either as far as I know.
i hate hatsune miku
Found it. The best way to experience Hatsune Miku.
youtube.com
May he RIP
all of my favorite vocaloid isn't on youtube
also all of you missed the boat by like 8 years, slowpoke harder.
I want to fug Hatsune Miku.
Hate fuck her.
>don't like Hatsune Macaroni
>still enjoy her games
Only song I can remember was the sad clown song. I like the Piano part a lot.
Call me a pleb but Senbonzakura is still my favorite Miku song.
Best song.
youtube.com
youtube.com
The only 2 miku songs I actually like, they're by the same guy, but I never see them mentioned
Are there others like this?
That's the one. It's supposed to be a sad song but that intro and piano just gets me jazzed.
The in-game cinematic for that song in particular was very dark so it was very easy on my eyes compared to how bright and harsh most of the others are.
Nyan cat is actually the most viewed Hatsune Miku song.
good taste user
>There must be a better way to experience Hatsune Miku.
Just play the fucking game, you reject.
I'm trying to make a PS4 Future Tone controller.
FUCK the touch slider. I don't want to learn how to program a fucking arduino just to make this thing work. Now it looks like Sega is making an official controller but I already spent 150 bucks on Sanwa buttons
Meteor's pretty good. Back when I watched someone stream Future Tone, the song played and I added it to the songs I liked.
It's one of my favorites though
Old Vocaloid music will always hold a special place in my heart
>Now it looks like Sega is making an official controller
Like, a real one like the cabinet controls?
Or just another flat DualShock design like Hori does
twitter.com
It's just a twitter poll gauging interest, but it looks like it will be more arcade accurate since it has a slider
Did someone post any mitchie m or senbozasakura?
>Now it looks like Sega is making an official controller
Oh yeah? I got the hori mini when it came out but I hardly use it.
One day I might get the motivation to relearn how to play.
Anyone else like Rin?
youtube.com
>筐体に近いボタン・スライダーを採用した専用コントローラ
This does indeed say the controller would resemble the cabinet
I've been waiting so long for this man
Maybe now I'll get good
The multi-button notes/holds are so awkward on a controller
someone posted Senbonzakura.
I happen to fucking love Freely Tomorrow. Tell me I'm pleb tier.
>tfw you hear a Vocaloid song you like but can't search up the lyrics to find out what the song is
someone already posted senbonzakura Mitchie has too many great songs. Freely Tomorrow, Ai Dee, Ageage Again, News 39 and Burenai Ai De.
It's called kurumi ponchio
It also says the expected cost is 30000 to 40000 yen
30000 yen is about 284USD
Hopefully it's not that expensive 'cause I mean goddamn, it's just a fucking controller
That's more than I spent on my wheel and shifter, fucking hell.
nah that's about right. The Hori ones and even the bootleg Chinese one from last year cost that much
I thought the Hori controller was like $150
yeah I'm pretty sure I spent like $170 after shipping.
They're over $400 used now.
uWu
Yeah so 30K-40K yen seems a bit high, even if it's a high-quality controller
>hatsune miku
There's your problem, Crypton vocaloids and their songs are mostly shit. Just go straight for the chink ones
Based gaearon
I like Orangestar and Walpuris
I have to spread the word about Yonosuke. My favorite vocaloid producer. Vocaloid + Techno simply cannot be beat. I find it hard to go to older songs, they just seem so one dimensional.
Originally heard him on Miku Tape 2018. Track 3 Side A
Is the Switch game going to be a new game or a port of the vita games?
It's not quite the same, but you might like some of Tiara's stuff.
youtube.com
youtube.com
youtube.com
Neither
It's a partial port of Future Tone, same mechanics and some of the tracklist (not all of it) with new graphics and 10 new songs
It's Future Tone isn't it? PS4 FT is getting all the switch games new songs as a dlc pack, it makes sense.
Future Tone port with half the songs and permanant cel-shader
I really hope they release a physical version of Future Tone with these new songs included. Even if its japanese only import. I know it wont happen, but id buy it again.
thanks for the playlist my dude, getting tired of the same orangestar all the time!
didnt realize i even copied that, but yeah man those songs are great. I take them running and they keep me pumped up as fuck.

if your listening to a playlist, the song you link will always link the playlist you're listening to.
Michie M is amazing. I love burenai ai de
Good to know. Also I hit the subscribe button on Yunosuke's youtube and he comes on rather often and will play music and chat with people. His english is pretty good and he reads like every other comment. He's read and responded to some of my comments. Just cool to interact closely with a producer. I think i remember some people gave him money, can you do that on youtube? Maybe i may not be remembering correcty
Soul
yeah you can gift people money on youtube
I think it's called super chats or something
good to know, i'll sub to him
God I love how LamazeP lets the song just ride out sometimes speaking of which I would be happy if any of his songs got added into the switch game but my biggest wish is Let's Start.
youtube.com
>There must be a better way to experience Hatsune Miku.
Yeah the live version is way better. youtube.com
I went through this recommendation chart a while back. Green means I kept at least one song, orange means I considered keeping songs, red means I dislike it, and the one purple on there I couldn't find to even sample it.
This guy seems pretty based so I'll check out his bandcamp, but I was wondering if there's a newer recommendation chart. I asked /jp/ a while back and they didn't have jack shit for me.
'member the demo songs?
I 'member
This is still one of my favorite Rin pictures

I don't know if the notes are different between Story mode and Freeplay in Project Diva X, but in Storymode, the way the notes show up on the screen make me nauseous. The way they go so fast and sometimes slow down on the screen is annoying.
On Youtube so it doesn't count.
The most viewed Vocaloud song is Miku Miku shite ageru
PinocchioP is so much better than every other vocaloid artist it's crazy
gamer
pinocchiop is not bad but can't compare on an individual song level, the instrumentation is just not quite there
how much have you heard from him? he has a ton of incredible songs
youtube.com
>2007

I think Mitch is my least favorite vocaloid dude. I swear he's got exactly one song, and just keeps doing it. They made a whole medley out of his stuff in X, I think.
I don't give a fuck about Hatsune Miku. But I stumble upon this song, and it fills me with happiness.
youtube.com
he has plenty of variety, even if it's all the same sort of style
There are better custom videos.
youtube.com
Livetune is strange because their songs that get music videos are all fantastic and everything that doesn't get music videos is complete garbage.
Cute. But not better. Not even close.
Livin Lavish is special. The music, the lyrics, and the origin of them, the recreation of the lyrics using Miku's voice. It's a masterpiece.
I dunno man, maybe it's just the ones that get put in Diva games, but it's all the same sound to me. I guess a lot of them have a pretty constant style, but Mitch is the one I find grating. I'll miss the hell out of Wowaka though.
>songs that end up in Diva are decent
You don't say.
That's not true in general though, Project Diva's music is mostly boring pop music and every artist's "safest" offerings. And Redial is Livetune's best song and that one isn't in PD.
lmao
I was liking this until I got to the chorus, what a mess.
You are welcome user

"Nyan cat" is actually the Momo version.
I'm still salty that PLANET DANCE is on for U-ji but ねぎらうよっ!isn't, despite being longer AND more consistently good.
Also sasakure.UK needs more love, dude's never had a bad album.
I mean the thing's from 2015 so I figure it's kind of outdated and it's baffling to me that nobody seems to have a more up to date list, even if individual picks aren't universally agreed upon
>World is Mine
>Bad
Nah.
I wish I could follow Vocaloid like I used to, but there is so much now and I can't into rythmn games to save my life.
Rin is still best girl though.

One of my favorite songs. It has a sort of classic Sega arcade OST sound to it.
I found this in my favorites and don't remember how it got there
Based and vocalopilled.
She can have a nice voice, and a rather varied voice depending on the tuning, and there's hundreds and hundreds of songs so anyone's bound to find something they like.
I've sort of moved over to actual singers and vflower though since that just seems to be in the ring of my recommended at the moment.
youtube.com
Man, this song is a fucking banger.
>Wowaka's last song using vocaloid was Unknown Mother Goose
>Hitorie playing the song live after his passing and fighting back tears the whole time

Personal faves: Roki, Two Faced Lovers, Remote Controller
Is Matoryoshka really that popular? Holy shit
So many Vocaloid artists but I always come back to Yuyoyuppe, Maretu and Wowak. They're just too good I guess
I dunno, it sounds like your regular generic popsong to me. If you want a good sound you might want to search Crows Claw or Undead corporations Thouhou songs
I got it! To find the best music vocaloid music, just search "vocaloid off vocal" in youtube. No annoying robot voice, just good music.

Excellent tastes
What the fuck kind of posts are these? It's music. It has a culture around it. People like aspects of that and therefore listen to the music or participate in the culture. Who cares if you don't like it? If you don't like it, don't talk about it. Who even are you? Why are we subjected to your commentary on something you don't enjoy? Get lost if you're not going to at least contribute something.
I miss sound threads
I first roll perception to check my surroundings, if empty i'd like to roll impregnation
Mitchie M was always too cutesy for me, and I like the Miku voices.
I refuse to watch the sub version because I know the lyrics are going to be something that's fucked up based on my track record with these songs.
Shut up, its a videogame board. If you cant handle me not liking your hatsune miku shit make yourself sure that your opinion doesnt belong on that board either.
Not him but the guy submitted his own music as an alternative to miku. It’s not like he’s just flagrantly shitposting.
Dissenting opinions will always be a part of Yea Forums. And the internet. And just conversations in general.
I really just want to fuck rin.
A man of taste.
Also, before i forget. I'm user, nice to meet you
Only if you mean best module

Everyone in this thread is an ESL retard.
Oh yeah. You can also fix vocaloid songs by using covers. Thanks, now I have somewhere to start.
youtube.com
i really like the rough sound of nashimoto-p's songs.
also this one youtube.com
but all my other favorites dont have miku
>unironically preferring reol to anything
Some covers are great but c'mon
I will only buy PD 39's if they let me pat everyone's head again.
I'm sorry you cannot comprehend. Must be hard having a small brain that can barely support one language.
This is not your English class, burger-kun
>disappointed because of reol
What's the story?
Eh, she's not bad. A nice alternative to the vocaloid versions, though you have to get used to the rap sections she sometimes adds like in Brain Revolution Girl.
This, don't know why she's that popular when her singing voice is so bad
Redial Miku's model released to be used in MMD porn when?
There is no miku-chan03 on github.
Truly sorry for your lots, user.

Kikuo best composer
Kuso thread.
How is this thread still up
>There must be a better way to experience Hatsune Miku.
it's miku hours
What's the consensus on Mikus thighs?
youtu.be
Vocaloid makes me feel sad. I also don't know Japanese so it feels kinda wrong listening to it.... It is pretty though, but that just makes it worse!
I love Miku.
They aren't leeks.
Weird how nobody ever asks this about the countless EGS/Steam threads.
rip
Pretty much how I felt when I started to get into it. I've come to understand that it's a good 80%~95% shit just because that's the nature of music/any art program, but it's really special when you find a song that resonates with you even when you don't understand exactly what they're saying.
For me, that's youtube.com
Also there are some other slappers and bangers if you're down for that.
>You can also fix vocaloid songs by using covers
Then what's the bloody fucking point? The entire charm lies in the faulty robotic voice.
youtube.com
anything by pinocchio-p after he started doing more vocals and backup vocals is great, he's my favorite producer
This is great.
if you like it listen to the entire HUMAN album, shit is great

>Then what's the bloody fucking point? The entire charm lies in the faulty robotic voice.
finally someone who gets it
This is the best Mitchie M song
youtube.com
As soon as you begin to appreciate the voice/character you stop caring about the "realism" and just enjoy the content anyway.
Anyone have some good VR MMDs?
this guy gets it
I think the internet's kinda fucked me up, I prefer my music to sound vaguely unnatural. It's always either stuff like this with a robot doing vocals or weird mashups like Mouth Moods. Even when I listen to "normal" music it's stuff like Daft Punk which always has a technical feeling to it or stuff like Talking Heads where the singer doesn't sound like a traditional one.
Is the hori mini good for future tone? Found one cheap yesterday
Dpad feels pretty spongy to be h
odds and ends lyrics are pretty powerful tho and make the song even better

I still listen to those kagepro songs, all these years later. Shame the anime shit the bed towards the end.
Hatsune Miku sucks.
He's the absolute GOAT but his masterpieces are with IA
slept on it and realized I forgot two of my other favorites, Doubleganger and Nekomimi Switch
Karakuri Pierrot is probably still my favorite though, only one I actually listen to on a regular basis outside of the games.
Karakuri Pierrot is my favorite, too
The anime shat the bed since the beginning
>his masterpieces are with IA
based
Lost Time Memory > all
Although i'd argue his first album contains much more SOUL than his new ones
youtube.com
Toumei Answer is the perfect example of it
Stop reminding me how old I am.
This
Several years ago I used to be one of those people obsessed with trying to find songs where Vocaloids sounded as close to human as possible. Then I came to realize the songs that make use of the disconnect are actually where the best is. Nothing shows this more than kikuo's songs. Sure Hanatan is an amazing singer with a powerful voice, but his work truly shines with Miku. The hint of otherworldliness from the robotic voice pulls it all together.

Rin is great despite the flatness
She is the cutest!
I can only really listen to vocaloids in trance songs. Seems like nobody else in any other genre even tries to bother with vocal tuning at all, so it all sounds like trashpop being sung by a kid with autotune.
>chink
Chinese is such a fuck ugly language though.
I completely disagree. When you find a song with great vocal tuning and you can barely tell it's not a person (if at all) that's something amazing. That's like a piece of the future pumping straight into your ears to me. Then again, I'm a total A.I. nut who thinks the only viable future for humanity is to ditch the majority of humanity altogether, so take that as you will.
Wowaka died, too...?
yes, heart failure in his sleep
>try to make miku big in the US
>always have her sing popipo with that fucking awful shriek in the intro
What a fucking stupid decision. Must have been sabotage.
To be honest with you guys, I don't even remember how I stumbled upon his YouTube channel, but I happened to follow all of the releases that brought to zero-go. That album is a 10/10 IMHO. I'm not even a fan of that kind of music but the lyrics resonated so hard with me I ended up loving the whole package and became a huge fan of the guy and his production style
>from album SUPERINCEL
you can't make this shit up
The fuck, samfree died at the same age in the same way
Kikuo is pretty good as well.
It's a curse, clearly.
How old is Pinocchio-P?
I cant believe Wokada is dead
that's just what the japanese do sadly. if you ever find an incredible japanese artist in any medium, expect them to die young
It is unreal how god damn amazing kikuo is. The man's a genius.
Is Future Tone worth it if I don't have a controller? The button combos mess me up on a PS4 controller since they're charted with the arcade controller in mind
wow your taste is fucking garbage AND you're the type of cancer who deletes tracks from albums and shares them on p2p. drink bleach.
Jin is fucking trash and so is IA
>fix
covers are nice sometimes but vocaloid isn't broken
Where are the video games?
I got into Vocaloid in 2013 but 2007-09 is my favorite era. Have some 2008 Rin songs

How can it be the best module when it removes all of Rin's charm points except for the bow(which is also made less cute by positioning)? More like the go-to module for artists that don't like Rin but still wanna draw her for some reason.
you can map inputs for it so it's not that big of a deal.
>you can map inputs for it so it's not that big of a deal.
Ah OK I'll look into that whenever it comes to Switch
You get used to it, trust me. I used to hate FT and holds and double/triple notes but before I knew it I went from pathetic failures to playing with relative ease.
I want to have anal sex with Len!
