If they don't tamper too much with the formula then it should be fine. I'm hoping for high quality levels first and foremost. Special zombie design also needs to be ironed out, I wouldn't even mind if they copy the originals as long as they play well.

It's not going to be fun to play. The art design will be shit. The music is going to be shit. The gameplay will take six to twelve months to "get right" because they didn't spend half the time the Left 4 Dead team spent when designing the gameplay sandbox.
We may get micro transaction-only special infected that are just OP versions of the regular special infected.
We will absolutely get micro transaction-only boss infected like OP versions of the Tank and the Witch.

at the very least some kind of hidden mmr based on each versus side. it was like almost every match was a stomp or get stomped.... or you win the first round and the entire other team just quits. there were days where me and my friends would play for 4 hours straight and get to a finale once or twice.

It's amazing that Turtle Rock survived Evolve.
I'd say they've learned their lesson from hypermonetization, but all the same I'm wary at best. Plus they've likely hemorrhaged a lot of talent over the years.
Plus it looks both too derivative and cheaper than their previous titles.
