Was thinking about hosting servers for this lately - I know there were some maps from BF1 that didn't make the cut, and I think like Outcast to Academy there were modes that ported them over. I assume the only thing most folks would want would be to re-add the BF1 maps and some slight tweaks for playing in modern resolutions like fixing HUDs and menus etc.Is there anything else people usually want out of a BF2 server?

to be somewhat of a devils advocate (not fucking much though, I'm not defending the new trilogy) the prequels were brilliant in that AOTC and ROTS take place at the start and end of a massive intergalactic war that gave them a perfect setting to utilize for the games/comics/cartoons. the new trilogy has nothing like that.

Last time I played was in 2008 and even then only 2 servers were actually populated. Of course this was PS2, and no, GameSpy shut them down years ago. Not sure about the Steam version or if it even has multiplayer for that matter.

The production quality takes leaps and bounds as the show goes on, once it gets to Maul the animation is really good, and you start to get used to the art style pretty quickly, I like both series for different reasons but Anakin is more well-written in the 3D series

I actually agree with you there, the Yuuzhan Vong shit was fucking retarded. A lot of it was stupid as shit or just garbage, but at the very least they tried. Nu-Star Wars just feels like they brushed all the actual stakes out of the way to set up their #resist storylines, not to mention most of their expanded universe comic and book shit is just authors fighting one another to make their OC waifus more canon than the others.

When is nu-front 3 supposed to be released anyway? Is Star Wars still a movie thing, or did it end? I don't expect anything different in 3, but once they're finally done with their new movies dickriding trilogy, they might make low effort copies of the first two games with just better AI and stuff for a quick buck which would no doubt be better than nufronts.

Having purple cards is nice but it's really not required for any heroes, I think there's only a few cases where they actually make a big enough difference to where they need to be run on somebody to make them viable, I wouldn't worry about having purple cards

It baffles me how much Disney has fucked up with Star Wars. This is literally the easiest IP ever to make money off of and they've fucked it up so much. All they had to do was appeal to the fans but they make nonsensical bullshit to try to be different and everyone hates it. The old fans hate it, and whoever the fuck they were trying to appeal to doesn't like it either.
Think of how easy it would be to make a decent Star Wars movie if you owned the IP. They could make a movie about anything in the whole fucking Star Wars universe, not just focusing on Han, Vader, Luke, and the main shit. They could make side movies about life on X planet, or whatever, but they don't. Fans would eat that shit up. Why not make a movie about how droids are made in the factory or something and there's a production problem they have to fix? It would just follow around an engineer. They could just make Star Wars one shots, it doesn't always have to be about Jedis fighting evil, there's other stuff going on in the universe, and it would be different from any other Star Wars shit that's been released, but still pay homage to minor parts of the series that the fans like such as the vehicles, tech, and various planets' atmospheres and environments.

Exactly. There's so much shit to work with in the Star Wars universe but they just make movies about the same fucking characters.
