The best part about Zabuza isn't that he's threatening, it's that his motivations don't have a conveniently attached sob story to make him seem like some kind of victim, at least not obviously so. He's supposed to be making a new weapon to deal with Kaidou and Ashura Doji just revealed that he has a bunch of broken ships for Franky to work on so they can use them in the invasion. Franky might even pick up a trick or two from Wano country's ability to more skillfully refine seastone, plus they invented poneglyphs, so hopefully Franky will actually be an MVP in this arc.

Asta from BC is sorta like that. He's actually an above average fighter because he can't just rely on magic like everyone else. He uses weapons and has physical strength.

I haven't seen it in over 10 years but I'm pretty sure the twist at the end of the first season was that she's not actually magicless because she just has this uber-rare element of magic and no one realized it because she didn't know how to use it.
