How does Ocarina of Time have a good story

It's the perfect example of the hero's journey, it feels epic as fuck & every single moment in the game is memorable. The storytelling is incredible & the timeskip between young Link to Adult Link was so mindblowing for anyone who played it growing up that games today still haven't been able to surpass it

For it's time it really was THAT good. Sure it still aged incredibly well & has no real flaws, but you will never have the same experience with it as people did in the 90s & early to mid 2000s. I don't think the story is the best as a prefer WW's storyline, but i can certainely see why the story resonated with people so much

Max Payne 1 was amazing, it makes me mad that garbage like Planescape made it simply for having the most dialogue when Max Payne is probably the best western game in terms of story

It can get tedious but it's not really bad.
Protip: if you're playing on a flashcard or emulator use a cheat to unlock the fast run and ignore the Lost & Found puzzles entirely since all you get from them are some bonus costumes

Also you don't really NEED to have played TSC to enjoy FSR since the plot is largely unconnected to TSC and 25th Ward besides sharing characters and some of the more overarching lore stuff like ELBOW and the Silver Eyes, but it sure helps make the final couple hours of the game make a bit more sense.
