are daggers based?

>0 reach
>pitiful damage

They are worth only in poision builds.

No, they don't deal the damage they should most of the time. They should be a high damage, but low range weapon that can negate armor (easy to stab in the gaps of an opponents armor). Instead most just treat it as a low damage, but faster sword.

>get used to it
>switch to a normal sword
>absolutely decimate everyone because you are used to an underpowered weapon

You can't k-style with a dagger. Worthless weapon.

Technically a longsword or rapier is faster because they have further reach and thus less time to travel for a thrust or slash.

Daggers are just shitty swords.which are just shitty spears.

Lightweight and easy to conceal too. So based all video games have to nerf them.

These.

daggers are for crit builds only.

what is k-style user?

>dagger is just the lowest stat one-handed melee weapon of the game to serve as your first weapon

>put dagger in off hand
>it makes main hand weapon swing faster

>its one of those games where if you upgrade the starter weapon fully, it becomes really good

I think it's a Gunz bug that involved animation canceling and became one of the game's main mechanics like bunnyhopping in quake.

>spear apologists
Imagine defending a weapon which can only stab. If you deflect the initial thrust it's over. Spearfags are so pathetic.

>dagger in off-hand
>makes your main weapon more accurate and deal more damage

>Being this much of a coward

daggers are great against armored opponents and anyone who says otherwise is retarded

if spears are so shit then why are they single most prolific weapon in the entire world?

The first mercenary that I customised in mordhau was dagger and throwing knifes fast boi.
It made me git gud quick.

>If you deflect the initial thrust it's over

t. swordlet

spears can do more than just thrust forward and the reach advantage is much more significant than you think.

>Not having a straight sword in one hand and a dagger in the other for ultimate min-max potential.

Rapier-dagger combination is the most based way of fighting

>not 2 axes

pleb

yea, because it's poison my dude, it's inherently cowardly.

>dual wielding niggers
get that silly shit out of my face

>ezio in mordhau (or assassin in general)

They're a strong candidate in formation warfare systems. They're very poorly suited lone murderhobo weapons.

>Imagine defending a weapon which can only stab
Oh it's this guy again

Use a naginata then retard

Depending

Spears were only good before everyone learned how to do the mikiri counter.

>Dual wielding daggers
I can handle all kinds of autistic shit but this is the one thing that straddles the line between retarded and lame enough to break my immersion.

>0 reach

>not using throwing daggers

thats halberds and the likes though

it's dual wielding swords that's absolutely silly

>mfw cant dual wield even fricking carving knives in mordhau

Attached: Guncry.jpg (250x243, 8K)

You have to hold a polearm with two hands in order to generate enough force to cut, and if that's the case, you're better off using another implement like a halberd unless you've got an extremely specialized spear like a sarissa, in which case, you're back to just stabbing anyway.

I mean, you can

>Pitiful damage
I think getting stabbed is gonna deal a lot of physical trauma to anyone

>he thinks closing the gap with a spearman is easy when he has functioning legs and has the reach advantage.
Experienced spearmaster>experienced swordmaster
You use a spear when you don't want to fuck around.

x30 damage backstab

Depends on where you stab.

what games have good dagger builds in them?

Rage

Skyrim.

Dragon's Dogma, Dark Messiah

>axes are fucking trash
>swords are overpowered

Is there a game where daggers are good? I always wanna use them but they seem pitiful in vidya.

If you're within 21 feet of a person with a knife you are super fucked.

t. Guy who seen people think knives aren't dangerous and get stabbed super fast.

>dagger
A cowards weapon, now wheel's on the other hand, a weapon for a true, honorable worrior

Attached: 9486845.png (907x992, 1.15M)

Wouldn't a gun be a hard counter for that tho?

>play RPG
>knives are broken due to how much attacks and movement you can do in a single turn.
>in a setting where guns and psykers exist.

What about 22 feet? Is that the safe zone?

Gun is where that 21 foot figure comes from. That's how much distance a person with a knife can close before a well-trained person with a firearm can pull a gun out of its holster and shoot, which is relevant if you're, say, a cop. Obviously, if you already have a sword pulled out, it doesn't matter how close knifey boi is unless he's in your pants or you're in a portapotty, because you have the reach advantage.

what if the other guy has a sword

He might as well have a horse too.
