The characters in general were completely wasted in the game.
The resistance was literally nothing. Link didn't even bother to tell that archaeologist dude that he had solved the great riddle that the guy had been working on all his life.
The scene at the end where they save you from like three enemies was just retarded.
Illya didn't work in part because this iteration of Link had literally no personality. When he had his moment with her, after getting her memory back, he just stared at her with a vacant expression.
Agatha is quirky, I guess. Ganondorf was as flat as a board and as thing as a string. They completely fucking wasted the character.
At least Zelda is yet again a strong character, I guess.
