I will never understand indie devs that constantly shit on "the gamers." It's like working at a fucking grocery store and telling every customer that comes through the door how much you hate picking up after them and how much you wish they'd just fuck off already instead of asking you for help finding something that's in plain sight. Only difference is instead of damaging the company's reputation with the customer you damage your own personal reputation, and instead of getting fired you just guarantee you're not going to make rent once the EGS check dries up.

I mean, I don't like EGS. But generally speaking, I don't begrudge the devs that take that deal. It's good money for a fledgling indie team and even if it's bad PR at the moment and potentially the long run (much as I want to say it is, it simply hasn't been long enough yet to see how that works out) just signing an exclusivity deal isn't the end of the fucking world. But this dude is seriously trying to torpedo any good will would have had left once this game hits other platforms.

the only thing Uplay has going for it is the achievement reward system which gives you ingame content and other stuff like wallpapers or soundtracks.

It might be, for maybe 0.1% of people. Then 1% can't live without Linux support, 2% need cloud saves, 1.5% refuses to use a store without user reviews, 0.25% uses the backup feature for whatever reason, and all of these percentages combined, form a sizeable userbase that will never use the epic gay store, because it lacks things that they absolutely can not do away with for personal reasons.
