What is the ultimate gaming keyboard?

Which keyswitches are optimal for gaming?

I bought a Drevo Tyrfing V2 and honestly don't notice a difference in my gaming quality.

Memechanical keyboards are only good for writing and being loud.

It literally doesn't matter. It's a fucking keyboard. You're not going to be better at any videogame by switching to some epic $350 gaymur keyboard with nine billion LEDs and military grade meme cherry switches.

Buying a mouse should be a higher priority as it actually does improve your gaming skill.

this. mechanical keyboards are useful only if you have a desk job and write a lot of reports or do programming on a computer.

What if you write a lot of quality content for 4channel?

Rollover is valuable to keep in mind when buying a keyboard. Having your inputs eaten because you didn't let go of a different key quick enough sucks.

I'm writing on my memchanicla keyboard right now and olet me tell you it feels great im just typing at like 250 words per minute its so fast and snappy and make sa nice clack clack clack sound im feels so good.

We had 10+ key rollover long before epic clicky clacky became the norm. More than enough.

for me? its the PFU Limited Happy Hacking Keyboard Professional 2 with Topre Capacitive switch technology!

what even are the advantages of mechanical keyboards? the keys just go up and down as on any keyboard.

1) How do you crouch?
2) What do the numbered buttons on the USB hub thing do?
3) That's all for now(?)

durability
feel
NKRO
some of them have extra keys that can be configured with macros or other stuff

Unwarranted sense of superiority. Well, not really nowadays that they've become the norm among gamers.

I have a filco majestouch 2 with Cherry MX reds.
It's great for typing on, and the rollover is good for certain games. Not a huge difference for playing games really.

>1) How do you crouch?
control key (where capslock is)
>2) What do the numbered buttons on the USB hub thing do?
remote for monitor to change settings
>3) That's all for now(?)
okay

thanks lad

I currently have blue switches but the noise drives me insane. Never tried linear switches but I'm about to order silent reds (pink).

I use gateron reds~

You can order a cap kit and see what caps you like

mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=1620

Filco Tenkeyless Blues
Been using them for around 10 years already no issues.
In fact, I really need to change the keycaps soon...

Or just buy brown if you're a gamer, blue if you're not (why are you here?) or a membrane keyboard if you think red sounds like your thing.

Prefer blacks hence the 6gv2

I have the same, but I didn't like the feel of the stock keycaps so I replaced 'em

This, so buy one that has the best looking aesthetics for (You).

I have novatouch but let's be honest, Topre is not very good for gaymin

Attached: 20160712_140106.jpg (2048x1152, 523K)

>look mom i can type without looking at the keys!
Wow you're so good at computers, user.

>Topre is not very good for gaymin
t. never used a topre for gaymen

you might be retarded since if anything it's mechanical that aren't good for video games

what caps are those, enjoypbt?

ducky one 2 mini with blue switches niggies

>obligatory poorfag posts already
Membrane and rubber dome kb's wear over time and start feeling inconsistent. Where is the sin in spending $50 on something you use literally every day?

What's the easiest way to get planck or any other orthogonal keyboard.

Thoughts?

Yikes

This looks a lot like Corsair keyboards but with the gamer faggyness dialed up to 11. At least it has the nice volume roller.

you can literally find new old stock police grade keyboards off ebay for 25-30 buckaroos and they come with a condom and black switches

Attached: bl82.jpg (1152x2048, 318K)

>please press these 5 keys in order

forgot to mention that i spent 5 bucks on that red escape key

>mfw people who use unlit keycaps
how the fuck do you use in the dark and if you don't use in the dark how the fuck are you ok with light ruining your image quality

>using a mechanical keyboard
>when you could be using a buckling spring keyboard

Attached: 1410877865744.jpg (900x900, 357K)

>not knowing how to touch type
what kind of brainlet are you?

I know how to type without looking at the keyboard dummy

Attached: 1546472691761.gif (100x100, 24K)

You don't need more than this.

Attached: 1564926410208.jpg (1190x1650, 886K)

Feel, durability, modularity (sometimes), ergonomics of not having to bottom out when typing (but this is irrelevant for gaming)

why the fuck would you use that keyboard its missing half the keys. retard.

>how the fuck do you use in the dark

>g approved
yikes

>Yea Forums video GAMES
>ni/g/gers still come here to complain about muh evil light emitting diodes and gaymur xD
When will boomers die?

>/g/ says...
Honestly, if I found anything in owned in that image I'd throw it out here and now. Being highly opinionated doesn't make you informed.

I love my Gateron reds.

Attached: mf68.jpg (1200x900, 140K)

what keyboard please

For me, it's Buckling Spring (but not for gaming)

Realforce tkl with 45g actuation + PBS caps

Roccat Vulcan 80

Soon but when they do, we'll be the boomers. It's a vicious cycle.

i bet there's one madman out there with those 60% cucked keyboards and blank keycaps

>g skill
more like gay skill

10 dollar membrane keyboard from dell.
>soft presses
>makes 0 noise unlike mechaniclunk keyboards

Attached: 4178Hx01kZL._SL500_AC_SS350_.jpg (350x350, 12K)

120€ for a keyboard that doesn't even have media buttons, seems a bit excessive.

Look closelier.

shit, i'll run away now

Cherry Reds and Speed Silver objectively give you a competitive edge over those using membrane keyboards or even clicky switches. Less actuation force required to register an input, and no tactile resistance. Much more fluid movement.

Attached: keyswitches guide.png (1000x1200, 159K)

nothing else needed

>makes 0 noise unlike mechaniclunk keyboards
How big of an idiot are you exactly?
Not all mechanical keyboards click. Many actually explicitly market themselves as ultra-silent and smooth.

What's 60% mean?

I only ever play Tetris and at max I would need 8 buttons max for PC play but I don't know shit about keyboards.
What do?

Logitech G13. I regret not building a stockpile when they went out of production.

My man, got the thing (and a cheap mouse I use for my work laptop) for like 8 bucks. Works pretty much like a charm, except my enter key still sticks from the time I spilled a bit of juice on the thing like a year ago, despite how many times I've tried to clean it.

They went out? Fuck I'll buy one second hand

its super light so you can use it on your bed.

Opt for browns and if you can get a usb to ps2 connector if you want true nkro

>Which keyswitches are optimal for gaming?
Brown

see this image

some chink noname pbt caps from ali

you know this bait might work on Yea Forums

>browns for gaymin
memeshit pushed by marketing teams

Come on man

i bought one of those 50 dollar hyperx keyboards because i like the feel of the keys

I fuck TWICE since i got this bad boi.

Blacks are better but manlets find them to heavy

Thoughts on opto-mechanical switches?

If this is someone ironically trying to sound like an Asian ESL then you nailed it.
