1s atmosphere is top notch, i was scared through most levels until the shit construction areas, but even then the fucked up upside down world was cool. With that said, 2 is still more fun to play, and first person mode is bretty gud, but 2 is definitely the re4 of the series.

Will there ever be a TEW 3?

Nothing to admit. If it and its sequel were PS2 titles, they'd be heralded as classics. It's the fate of many video games released over the years. Dead Space 1 and 2 are fucking phenonemal, but the majority of people who play video games don't speak on it, let alone remember it. Bayonetta is probably the greatest action game of all time, but gets overshadowed by Dante and his mediocre fifth entry.

Yes. Awesome game.

No, but TEW2 was amazing

We agreed on this a long time ago.
Milano has never made a bad game.

great game
terrible on the technical side
remember the evil within 2 ? yeah me neither

I finished one playthrough and all the season pass DLC but i dont know if i could ever bring myself to do it again. Thank fuck i have a PS4Pro to play it is all i can say.

i liked TEW and TEW2 more than most RE games. really hoping there's a TEW3.

I hated the fire nog arc, I wished the not-sander cohen guy would've lasted longer as the villain, he was fun. And I hated that they just pretended ruvik didn't exist.

It is. Too bad the second game threw away most of what made the first so great.

I've been saying it since it first released. I love how the game holds no punches and constantly throws you into new scenarios with new enemies. I don't know how other survival shooters get away with such low enemy variety.

I liked it overall but it is a bit of a rollercoaster in terms of quality.

I tried to like the 1st twice and couldn't.
Monsters are not scary, the game is too scripted to make it an interesting stealth game and it zones you out too much with the RPG elements in the hospital dimension.

I consider it a 10/10 game despite the technical issues. I can play it repeatedly and never get bored of it. Tons of variety in the enemy roster and level design, and perfectly paced- just like RE4 there's never a dull minute.

Beth got greedy and instead of building on the fans they'd made with TEW1, they tried to recruit SH fans and generic AAA Western open world impulse purchasers into the fold with 2, the result being that fans of TEW1 were left wanting more. It's a blander, simpler, more repetitive repeat of the first game without its style or balls.

I still liked it though.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it a masterpiece but I really liked it. Solid 8/10

only big complaint i'll say is I had a lot of issues running it on ps4. It crashed nonstop, was really frustrating.

Had hoped for a smooth pc port but the controls were horrible.

Kidman is pure waifu material. Also she likes cats, so 10/10 for me

I was nicely surprised that they had the balls to make another big antagonist for this game, and then a third one. Even if the fireguru was the weakest one, the conclusion of his fight was really satisfying, as well as great character building for Castelanos

First 10 minutes of TEW2 are nothing but retcon's exposition and the most stock hollywood plotthreads that completely shit on any nuance the first game had.

Damn shame

>claryfing a shitty clusterfuck of a story is now bad
Opinion discarded

yep

Is it worth picking up if I don't intend on getting the dlc?

Definitely

The DLC of TEW1 clarified it just fine.

I always liked the way it blended RE4 gameplay and SH imagery.
Also solid combat and stealth.
Shame 2 was garbage.

Yes.
