Thoughts on the casual filters
check out sekiro numbers
What do those percentages mean? Amount of players who earned the achievement / trophy for defeating those particular bosses?
Where did you get them from?
>DeS
Not that odd, since this was before "rolling has i-frames" was common knowledge and AS punishes playing the game like LoZ hard.
>DaS
Understandable, another boss that punishes defensive play.
>DaS2
Those are real late in the game, I'm impressed people made it that far.
>DaS3
Didn't play it.
>BB
Haha, fuck, that's the first boss. Another boss that punishes defensive play hard. That's the common theme here, I'd say, people cower behind a shield and once they hit something they can't turtle their way through, they give up.
Lothric princes are like the second to last boss
Haven't played Demon's but almost all of my characters on the Dark Souls trilogy were shield turtles and I never had trouble finishing the games. In fact I think shield is easy mode.
>Those are real late
Can't talk about Demons but of al of the Dark Souls / Bloodborne / Sekiro games Dark Souls 2 is the easiest game so it's not surprising.
>Didn't play it
You should; 3 is great. Don't listen to the shitposters here.
Alright, cheers brahs. Haven't been avoiding it, just haven't gotten around to it. You know how backlogs are.
These games suck.
>run around empty castle for 30 mins
>find 2 easy to beat enemies
>boss fight
>repeat
Sekiro's is Genichiro
Trophies. Also as of Remastered, the Lord Souls replace O&S as the filter
Hot opinions incoming
>DeS: Armor Spider (43%)
Never played DeS so dunno (next year I'm upgrading my rig so I should be able to finally emulate it)
>DaS
Serious roadblock and the hardest fight in the base game. Dual bosses are never easy to fight.
>DaS2: I think it's a combination of those bosses having environmental dangers on their arenas and the areas preceding those bosses to be as frustrating as the fights themselves.
Like with O&S, it shows that people can't focus on more than one thing at the time.
>DaS3:
In my opinion the faggot princes are the hardest fight in the base game, even more than the nameless king so it's understandable.
>BB: Father Gascoigne (45%)
This is another interesting case along with Dark Souls 2: it's not the difficulty of the fight itself but due two unique factors:
a. Souls people being unable to leave the Souls mindset behind and embrace Bloodborne's aggressive gameplay.
b. A lot of people buying Bloodborne out of curiosity and finding a game above their own skills.
>Genichiro
Genichiro is one of the hardest and longest fights in the game so it's understandable. Add to that how some parry is actually needed for this fight.
>Lothric
>A FUCKING ENDGAME BOSS
>casual filter
moron.
>Father Gascoigne
OP is not wrong because the dynamic duo is neither the final boss or an optional boss. It was the point where people couldn't progress anymore, it doesn't matter if it's near the end.
Man fuck Bandai Namco for marketing "le game so hard dude, prepare to durr XD". Look at all these fucking morons that bought these games and dropped out this early. God I fucking hate normies.
You .webm proves why Father Gascoigne filtered people:
>Constant use of Bloodborne's parry and riposte mechanic
>Aggressive approach where the player never stopped attacking even when his opponent is a boss
Meanwhile the filtered players would stay way from Gascoigne, waiting for an opening or a whiff to punish, only to find none.
>Armored Spider
Basically a 3D Mario boss. Dodge projectiles, wait for it to become vulnerable, hit it, go back to dodging projectiles, wait for it to become vulnerable, etc.
DeS bosses in general aren't so good
Lothric is almost certainly because people got bored of the game, not a casual filter. Sulyvahn is the real filter boss.
>Sulyvahn is the real filter boss.
To beat Sullyvahn you just need to equip a shield and walk around him counterclock-wise. You don't even need a heavy shield.
Even better if you get right in its face and stay in its face all you have to do is roll through the telegraphed swipe and punish
no
Never understood either, you even have 3 free combo chances if you use the music box which by the way is even encouraged by the plot
>Old Iron King
as a hexer I don't uderstand this.
I got O&S on my 4th try and gascoin on my 6th try and i'm as average skilled as can be. guess it makes sense seeing as about half of people beat those.. Old iron king went down 1st try with a summon but it was fucking difficult.
>sitting down mid fight
fuck that's good. is it just flexing or a legit strat?
So, uh, you guys like these Souls games, huh?
>as of Remastered, the Lord Souls replace O&S as the filter
Probably attrition more than roadblock though.
if only people knew bb is the easiest once you understand how to play
How do O&S punish defensive play? You're basically forced to kite Smough around, dodge or block Ornstein and hide behind pillars for like 99% of the fight.
