Because it was developed by Crystal Dynamics which is actually a pretty experienced team that has been making games for decades. I think Rise is way better than any Uncharted game aswell solely because of how well it combines open-world with set pieces.

I played Nippon Island Adventureland and Siberian Electric Boogaloo. Lara was an insufferable whiny bitch all along the ride, and the copy pasted plot with those retarded turbo Christian illuminaties replacing the bland stranded cultists left me hugely disappointed. Had no interest left in Mayan Cultural Appropriation after that.

I liked anniversary lara the most. Comically over-competent for an apparent bimbo, yet touching and believable when she kills her first human. Simple and efficient storytelling, instead of hoirs of boring exposition with characters you don't care about.

Because its too distracting for me to play as a female character. Her beautiful ass is in your face the entire time. It was the same with AC odyssey when I tried playing as a female character. When you climb you can see up her skirt. I was looking forward to some sweet lesbian romancing, but I couldn't even make it past the tutorial island.

nu-Lara isn't obnoxious in any way, she plays as upper class wife material. The problem is it's boring and stale. There isn't a good reason for this nice university girl to be doing what she's doing and for you to be doing it as her. Lara doesn't work as a realistic person.
