very easy to level with little to no downtime, can take on several mobs with roots/sleep, guaranteed dungeon spots
stealth
lots of different builds to try, very flexible (can heal/dps/tank in 5mans with the same build, a good healing spec also gives you some damage so you can farm mobs better than other healers without needing to respec)
decent healers and some variation in healing builds depending what you want to do
usually not very popular so you get druid-specific loot easily
innervate and combat ress are both excellent in raids

cons:
not top tier in anything
your damage is garbage
if you want to try unorthodox builds you either have to spend 5x the effort for same result as others or just accept the fact that you are not optimal
very limited interrupts/stuns
ress has cooldown so wiping in dungeons can get tiresome
raids usually only have spots for 1-3 druids

probably forgot something, also worth mentioning that a big part of why druids were so bad in vanilla was the godawful itemization especially in tier sets and talents, while in classic they will be in 1.12 state which helps a ton

I played Horde in vanilla. I really enjoyed being the less populated faction for things like World PvP and BG queues being really fast all the time.

The concept is that the first week or so will be absolutely rammed, so rather than have servers that will eventually be ghost towns, they put people on separate layers within the same server, so you don’t have to wait for ten minutes for starting area spawns.
The problem with this is that it relies on Blizzard actually removing the layers later on.

Streamers can easily be avoided by just not going on their servers, and any cancerous zoomers that they bring will likely fuck off within a week.

I pve resto and don't like feral meme specs for raids, but sounds like you are pretty mad. Druids can beat most classes 1v1. Druids are the best flag carriers in the game. Druids can actually do farming tactics that most classes and specs can't. Druids have massive advantages. Would I roll a druid if I had never played a druid? Hell no. But I mained a druid in real vanilla and raided into naxx. I only played druid in WoW, quit during BC. I couldn't play any other class. If you play any other class after playing druid it feels like you are missing out. Once you go druid, you can't go back.

I'd love to play it, I love doing 5 man content, but too bad vanilla dungeons are a joke, if they were as hard as retail's then I'd play it for sure.

Every druid I knew was a regular masculine dude in vanilla. But I played horde. We played male tauren, not faggy night elves.

We were great healers in raids. In aq40 and naxx we had 2-4 resto druids. If you had good gear and you played well, you always had a raid spot. Guilds wanted you. Running the flag in WSG makes you a champion and loved by the team. Not a bitch. Never even heard of a female druid. Hell, few females even played WoW. They were usually wives or girlfriends if they did. Mostly played priest or some shit. We also collected good pvp gear on the side from farm status bosses and were gods in pvp. I did tons of world pvp with rogues. I would also stealth into ironforge and do tons of ganking. I would grief lowbies. I would 1v1 basically any class. In full feral spec I would wear rogue leather gear and get insane cat form crits. It was a lot of fun. In hybrid spec nobody could kill you with your resto gear even.
