Is it worth hacking my switch? Don't want to get banned

Is there any decent hack yet? Last time I checked, you had to basically leave your switch in sleep mode forever, which isn't really a good solution.

I'm saying to expect it, not that it will happen. I've had mine hacked for a while and run incognito and I swap between emunand and sysnand for different things.

If this monglet is asking on Yea Forums about hacking they are probably the same type that is going to fuck up and try and go online with a pirated game and get banned.

It is literally undetectable, because booting into emunand happens before the actual bootloader, so how the fuck could they detect the mod? Anything you boot in rcm using the tranny exploit happens before they could physically detect anything. You only get banned if you go online with mods installed.

If you ever hack your system, expect a chance to be banned, even if you take multiple measures to counteract it. They also tend to do bans in waves and it can be tricky finding out what people got banned for. There was a huge banwave for hacked 3DS users a while back and people weren't sure what caused it, people thought it was people pirating sun & moon, but other people were banned during the wave even if they didn't touch pirated games and didn't allow any homebrew apps through.

Isn't it just a huge file with emunand on your sd card, easily accessible for nintendo to read? Say, 8.2 could have a code that detects it, writes into about it to some storage that isn't emulated, and when you boot clean 8.2 it would alert nintendo and they ban you?

you use 90dns so that your logs don't get sent to Shitendo
set 90DNS up even before you start hacking
then do the autorcm hack
then install emummc

If that really bothers you, you can buy an rcm dongle somewhere. I don't think it's a big deal to just leave it plugged in. If I know I won't be playing it for a long time I turn it off and boot it with my pc when I decide to play it. Honestly it's not a big deal. The switch can survive for like a week in sleep mode.

What's annoying is that you may forget it in rcm mode (black screen). That will drain the battery to zero because there's no fail check there, and it will look like your switch has bricked. You'll have to change it for two hours or more of this happens before you can turn it on. It happened to me literally once in over two years.

one more thing to add to my earlier post don't buy a dongle, it takes about 2 minutes to make one out of tinfoil and to tape it to pins 9+10 on the joycon, works perfectly every time
