Literally, LITERALLY, L I T E R A L L Y what Minecraft SHOULD have been: The Video Game
No, I enjoy both but Builders is very constrictive from an objective standpoint. Minecraft is less focused but allows you to do whatever you want. We're much better off with both available instead of one.
stop being reasonable you fucking faggot
Except it's not on PC
Don't you dare call me reasonable, you donut.
First one is playable on RPCS3.
Then minecraft won't make billions
shit dude, i'm sorry alright? chill out, we don't gotta escalate this.
They arent similar enough to warrant such a statement.
The only similarity is voxel sandbox. The focus is totally different for each game.
Minecraft is focused on freedom to the point of lacking purpose.
Where DragonQuest builders is about quests/combat with a sandbox gimick.
Cease being reasonable this instant, you meatball.
How come we got no minecraft clone with quests for pc?
2D shit don't count.
DQB is like 3D Terraria?
Overpriced?
I think Hytale is going to have quests
But with quest focus. Same generic zombies and skeletons. But theres a "kill 5 zombies for 10 silver coins" and "collect 30 rib bones from skeletons for 15 silver" in the corner of your screen at all times.
I do love Builders 2 but some issues keep it from being the game I really wanted it to be.
>Traps are once again useless beyond the chapter they are introduced, save for a single battle
>Immense structures that you are forced to build on your personal island, necessitating tearing them down afterwards if you don't like them
>Very little in the way of post-game content, with no enemy being tough enough to warrant getting one of the best weapons
>Room themes are poorly executed, with a single Cheeky item and Flamboyant apparently meaning evil or sci-fi, while gold or silver bricks are Cool
>Combined with room fanciness, makes it very difficult to make certain rooms that appeal to the odd tastes of the villagers
>Combat is still mashing one button -- traps don't factor in to most fights, and you never learn magic yourself
>Enemies are surprisingly spongy for damage
>Room limit is somewhat disappointing
Interesting.
In dragon quest builders I can't make a machine that harvests eggs from chickens and then launches them into a container that will hold the chicks until they reach adulthood at which point a water path leads them to a magma block and then kills them, where a hopper then collects the feathers and chicken meat and ejects them into a central item pipe being fed by a dozen different item generating contraptions for sorting via hopper/redstone circuitry in the room above my bedroom.
Why would you want to do that?
Infinite nosh
hytale is like barkley 2, it just aint coming out
This is now a Hytale thread.
literally, LITERALLY, L I T E R A L L Y no one cares.
I just realized that connecting via internet means you are supposed to have friends and play with them online. I thought I can randomly enter anyone's island all over the internet
This is fucking horse shit.
Can't you check out peoples islands from the community board?
Yes
>go to other player's island
>they fucking terraformed the whole island
What in the God damn
It's wild and must have taken a long ass time. I'm still working on Green greens and haven't touched the other two biomes
Working on snow atm. I don't fucking get how the hell they had the patience to obliterate everything and turn the island into their whole liking. They must have spent a hundred hours on this
>mfw spending 5 hours trying to get the waterfall to look the way I want it
Having a golem bro makes obliterating everything much faster. Still a big undertaking, though.
>Minecraft is less focused but allows you to do whatever you want.
What can you do in Minecraft that you can't do in Builders?
Poor constipated golem
Or terraform a huge square, magic pencil it to an empty blueprint, set it down and let your slaves handle it
My Roy got obliterated by Hero in online.............
Sucks man
Build your base anywhere, make it as big as the engine will allow. Ignore the main quest and still find all the materials and mechanics in the game.
How can I tell the people of moonbrooke to get fucked after they locked up my boy?
Don't worry, he got it out.
You can build your base anywhere in the explorer isles.
By finishing their quests and getting the fuck outta there
ohh, uhh good then
So what are you working on Yea Forums? Any big projects? I just reworked my farm to be less horrible looking.
Yeah, as long as you don't fucking leave the island
I feel I need to terraform so much before I can start with my real villages. The farmland one have so much hills, mountains and such. Also bummed I can only visit friends worlds, like I have any friends who play DQ of any kind.
Just got the first part of the castle in zone 3
You unlock Buildertopia at one point, which is an extra island you can build on. It's mostly flat with some mountains sprinkled in. You get to choose the size of it and the type of climate.
I'm building every single person their own house first. Then I'll do community buildings.
Wanna be friends? My island looks like shit, but at least I play.
>No underground exploration
Yea nah
Creating 3 separate villages in each region of the island with different architectual styles.
I basically create the stuff you would require for a functional village for survival and add other stuff for looks/mood
Gonna reform every mountain to look nice eventually too
Are hotels better than dormitory?
Are restaurant better than agricultural cafe?
what did he mean by this
I don’t know man, to me it started to feel tedious when the tutorial goes on forever.

I wish I new about the room preferences before I made all my guys rooms. I like the ones they are in now and they all want completely different rooms
How do you even get people to use the restaurant? I have good food laid out and it's right in the middle of everything but no one eats there. The AI in this game is one of its neatest and frustrating features.
Do you have someone that cook, is there another place to eat nearby?
They just do it automatically for me
>Need a comfy game to play because most of the games I got lately have been pissing me off
>Didn't finish the first one
Wat do?
REEE Why doesn't 2 let me wall and moat the town to protect me from a random "lol here's some enemies have fun going there and rebuilding those rooms because you're on the other side of town right now" events. The enemies just break through hard blocks too.
Depends. Why didn't you finish the first one?
A lot of other games came out after a certain point and it got hard to get back in.
posted the wrong picture, bro
