2019...I am forgotten

2019...I am forgotten.

Seriously though, has an Atelier ever came and went with so little fanfare?

Attached: story_chara01-01l.jpg (1920x1080, 433K)

Yeah the last 6 of them or whatever.

So that's what my sister's boyfriend was playing today. My stepdad came over to do some laundry and he has no problem calling him out for being a manchild. He asked what sissy game he was playing and got ignored. I didn't know either.

that's what happens when a niche series pumps out yearly releases

>My stepdad
KEK

you let someone pound your sister instead of doing it yourself? tisk tisk...

Someone walks in my house and criticizes me like that is going to find out how bad chronic knee pain is for the rest of their life.

whatever happened to settling things with our words not our ashy knee caps. just say
>oh yea? well at least i'm not raising someone elses son KEK!

lmao ok pussy

My real dad moved to Florida and is with a crack whore, my step dad likes to hunt and fish with me and has threatened my sister's boyfriend with violence. He's pretty cool.

That's fine. Imagine the threads if it had the same sudden popularity boost as persona did with P5.

yikes please no

ryza already did that

It's not his house. Me and my sister pay the rent, the bills, the electricity. He uses his SSI checks to buy PS4 games and digital copies of physical blu-rays he already owns. He also showers once a month, cries like a little girl when insulted, and has violent temper tantrums where he breaks his game controllers and chews his wrists raw. He got my sister knocked up and they have a kid on the way.

I think it will sell more than the average Atelier but it will be nowhere near as P5 or even Xenoblade 2. Female protagonists are already a big turnoff for most people even if it's a really cute girl.

sweet blog dude

Devs pandering to the incel crowd now by making fanservice the main focus of Ryza, what a shame

Go back to /lgbt/ and stay there

Atelier is dead to me. I think Ryza looks awful and yet people are sperging out over her and it's probably going to sell way more than normal because of this. Now I get to watch a series I used to love carry on as a lifeless corpse. I never asked for them to whore out Arland again either. Sophie was the last good thing they did that I liked. Literally every girl in Ryza so far is a titty monster. No medium sized girls either, just straight up titty monsters only. It's literally Senran Kagura now. As always, the oppaifags have taken over.

lulua is cute but I have a lot of games to play before I get to hers

I honestly never cared about this series, but fuck that Ryza girl is so fucking hot I’m going to buy her game.

Yes, it’s called Nelke.

This. He is prob new to these fucking yearly titles

Attached: 1564821403114.jpg (1164x1280, 94K)

He's also a cuck lmao

>full body stocking
Holy shit what was the designer thinking

Well since Nights of Azure 3 got canned after 2 being shit they gave out one of their designs to nu Atelier.

Every girl in this game looks perfect

Toridamono: “The design is totally of my personal taste. Clad in black tights with a fundoshi. I didn’t hesitate much.”

Lulua is super cute. Too bad her game is a steaming pile of shit.

Ok, are there any games with a focus on crafting like the arland series, i really liked it but i literally cant find anything like it.

Didn't help that Thighza's game was announced literally a week after this got released in the west.

>threatened violence
What did he do to deserve that?

Poor people have such fucked up lives.

I haven't played it yet, but from what I've read, most people who played it enjoyed it a lot. Some people even mention that they felt it was too short, despite having the same length as any other Atelier.

Lulua is the first Atelier game I'm playing that didn't have any sort of time limit at all. I wouldn't call it total shit as I'm having fun with it, but it really feels like something's missing. With no pressure or urgency, it just doesn't feel the same.

Atelier would be 3 times more popular if it was hard like etrian odyssey

But they are all super easy except for a few post game fight

You'd think that but there are people who get their panties in a twist over time limits. I'm talking the kind of people that probably find Majora's Mask to be stressful.

respond

Majora’s Mask was stressful though and so was Rorona.

I mean hard dungeons that force you to use the crafting system to its limit, instead of making you go trough 40 hrs of brain dead dungeons (for the 7th time in a row)

I'm playing it at a snail's pace. Currently in chapter 9, 60 hours. It's just so damn long.
Just got Totori and Meruru. I want to put them on the frontline with Rorona so they get the -30% damage bonus which is insane, but their attacks have very little synergy with Lulua and Piana.

>huffing and puffing how your new dad is awesome while he married a woman with children

jesus christ this is really pathetic

Attached: 1562081374278.jpg (260x260, 19K)

these games would sell a tenth of their already pathetic sales if they were actually hard. people don't want hard games, especially people who play cute girl comfy games. at most they want to feel like they beat something hard without having to put forth any effort to do so.

If the game sell that bad why do we have yearly releases???

Atelier is a series that always looks interesting but the time system feels like you can fuck things up worse than Persona.
The PS3 games had plus version on the vita which seemed like a downgrade for more things. Also localization seemed complicated for physical/digital releases.
The games hardly go on sale and when they do it's for very little percent off. I'm more interested in other titles during those times.
I just learned that Atelier Arland Series Deluxe Pack is a thing though, so maybe that'll get me on board.

because they sell bad
imagine if they released a game every four years, they'd get 1/4 as much money. they need yearly releases to stay in business

Making games isnt cheap retard, if the amount of sold copies was that bad they wouldnt be able to dish out so many games.

Nothing, but the cuck dad probably got envious of the guy fucking his wife's daughter since he's stuck taking care of another man's children and a used-up roastie

The absolute number is bad but the budget is so low they make a profit anyway

For me, the time management system in P3 was more stressing than Atelier. Like, you won't know if you can defeat the full moon shadows until you actually face them and all of them have a different gimmicks. In Rorona for example, you can complete the requests at any given point and after completing them you can do whatever until you get the next request.

Now if you are doing completionist runs, Atelier with time limits is actually pretty damn hard, but you won't be doing those as a newfag.

This. Literally every girl.

My Roy got obliterated by Hero in online

>best girl is only in one game

Attached: A15_Threia.jpg (595x842, 171K)

>best girl appears in 1/3 of a trilogy
When is this not the case? Reminds me of the clones from Ayesha that had a cool backstory but it was never looked into properly.

This. The time limit really made the original Arland trilogy feel so fun. There were constantly goals that you were pushing towards, and you wanted to optimize travel, gathering and battle. It wasn't hard (I think I had an extra year in both Totori and Meruru) but it added something that Lulua lacks.

Lincas appears in the 3 games at least but yeah, Dusk felt like it needed a 4th game
Also is the Logy in Sophie the one that was in Escha, is it in the same universe?

>play a loli
>cant get my cunny pounded
wtf atelierbabs?

>When is this not the case?

>tfw youve been helping destroy the world across the games

Overdone and casualized. They pandered hard to their core audience while delivering poor quality, which meant that everybody else has stopped paying attention and the primary buyers are dropping. Do the games even use the whole day mechanic and monthly evaluations anymore, or did they go typical JRPG with the series?

I mean, Atelier was good when it was trying to refine the Mana Khemia system.

all that and he's still piping down your little sister. She must love that D, what a slut.

But that's wrong. They are different girls.
>I'll always will be with you Ayesha
Cheating bitch

>But that's wrong. They are different girls.
hence the s

It's a really good game, but they killed it by announcing Ryza so quickly after it.

Not surprised, the only reason anybody cares about these games is the sex appeal of the mcs.

it was made solely for Rorona fags, they bought it, the end.
The Arland series is overrated.

Everyone is looking at Ryza's thighs now anyway (+ the actual gameplay evolution seems nice).

>Atelier would be 3 times more popular if it was hard like etrian odyssey
user, Etrian Odyssey's sales are even worse

Got the platinum trophy. Why must you tell lies?

Great: The evolution of the alchemy system (best in the entire series), zero time limits, exploration and combat based (Totori)

Bad: Despite the game revolving around a very Mysterious plot (alternate realities and alternate dimensions) the game focuses on a nu-Arland. The main character goes around worshiping the literal who NPCs in the Arland series. The overall story seems pretty lesbian-ish. Not yuri undertones, but pretty fucking gay.

Fucking horrible: Two $39.99 season passes that only recently had content released for them. Then weeks afterwards, the individual content found in each season pass was released for individual sale on PSN

Gotta say, I've played through most of the games in the Atelier series, and Lulua was still a lot of fun for me. I think it's one of the best modern Atelier games. The mechanics were really smooth and I liked most of the characters. I won't forget her. Try to make me, virgin

I somehow own Rorona, Totori, Meruru, Sydie, Sophie and Firis on PS4 but I never played these games. I just like the cover art so much... guess I'll start with Rorona one of these days

Download with the character DLC included where?

The art in these games is, well, pure art.

>stepdad acting tough
lol

The fundoshi, thigh cutouts, and heterochromia ruin this design.

Rorona is so fucking CUTE

>The overall story seems pretty lesbian-ish. Not yuri undertones, but pretty fucking gay.
My main issue with the story is that Stia is severely underdeveloped for being allegedly the heroine (counting Lulua as the hero). Every party member has lots of events while Stia is only relevant in some main story scenes and you don't get to see much of her, it's hard to care about her.

I'm currently trying to finish Sophie's post-game. It's my first Atelier game. Which should I play after?

>I'm a massive retard and can't function unless everything around me is fap material
Something like that.

Shit taste.
Fairly good taste.

But the best one is actually Miruca.

You can keep going the Mysterious route which is Firis -> L&S. Start a new trilogy with Rorona or Ayesha. Or play spme of the older games like Mana Khemia.

Keep in mind that even though some people liked Firis a lot, it's also one of the most disliked games in the series, so skipping it in favor of L&S wouldn't be a bad idea.

Fuck off gamers this isn't vidya.

People shit on L&S a lot too, this kind of advice just doesn't seem to work for Mysterious.

>don't have a gamepad
>game controls were developed with only gamepad in mind
>the whole game runs and behaves like it's on a fucking emulator
>"swing" command doesn't actually swing anything, character just screams and does nothing
>turn-based combat
Insta-uninstall

Either your sister is fucking ugly and has no standards or this dude looks like the reincarnation of David Bowie.

>Literally every girl in Ryza so far is a titty monster. No medium sized girls either, just straight up titty monsters only

Nonsense, Claudia (the blonde chick) fits your bill.

>Sophie was the last good thing they did that I liked
Well Ryza should be right up your alley then as it seems to be the most Sophie-ish of them all; Phoned in, loosely designed, and bland.
