It's just me or the next time we see this game its going to look completely different?

>Ellen Paige is the main character now

I hope they change the combat because it looks terrible after playing Sekiro.

*dabs on Sekiro*

wow, those are very cinematic qtes, this game will definitely sell better than sekiro 'cause my 5 yo nephew can beat it blindfolded.

That looks so cinematic and boring

No chance the combat changes, its not Ninja Gaiden/Sekiro. Its a mass appeal open world game. I would guarantee you though they can break your block in Tsushima while blocking/parrying is stupid good and easy to do.

Visually sure, but the game didn't look like it would have any crazy mechanic or world design that they would have to go back on.

>Samurai game
>Not made by Japs

What's the point?

>performs an off balance 1 handed slash with a katana against an iron breatplate
>dude just fucking dies because muh folded 1000 times baka

wow looks fucking great

you dont know what a qte is

you don't know what a game is

Really let down by this game so far. SP games used to reek style and have this distinct charm about them, which kind of was lost in infamous but you could see it coming back in Second Son. This game just looks like a generic Japanese samurai game.

Neither does Atlus.

People don't understand that samurai movies have fast as fuck, flowing combat not this static, slow shit. The slow drawn out sequences are for the climax where the samurai clash and their wills are stored within their blades and they put it all into a single strike. Actual combat isn't this fucking slow.

I was hopeful at first when it said Sucker Punch since I loved how they did stealth in Sly Cooper. Then they revealed the same generic tall grass stealth shit and that put me off the game almost entirely.

replace them with knights and everything fits again

They didn't get in any tall grass stealth shit though, but I guarantee it will be in the game. There is really no good modern stealth game besides something like Shadow Tactics or some 2D game like Mark of the Ninja. 3D games always fall into blind ass enemies who can't look up, or stealth grass with takedown

Not him but how is that bait? Seems pretty accurate to me, Sekiro looked more intuitive with stealth, even if its execution was rocky.

So boring. I am tired of these semi automatic games.

show me where in the gameplay where he hinds in tall grass

It actually does

I dont think he meant exactly hiding in tall grass, but instead that style of stealth that is common in these games.

Infamous had that charm. Second sun was the start of them losing it.

Regardless, I think we can both agree that all of the infamous games seem to have more style and flair than this new game.

>Bamham cinematic combat with super fucking stiff animations
I don't think Sekiro has anything to worry about. I love the setting so I'll play Tsushima anyway, but I don't think it stands a chance against Sekiro's combat

It's going to be a Japanese nu-AssCreed.

This, exactly. Just the way it's animated and how automated things look, it screams this won't have SP's unique style of stealth and will just be that generic stealth used in most other games. You can just tell from everything else shown how the stealth will work.

Honestly, im hoping the radio silence on this game is a reaction to the lukewarm reception and they try to change up somethings. I love SP and want this to be good but what they've shown is just underwhelming for something that has been in development for so long.

Why? Who watches these?

I really like Sucker Punch and will most certainly be buying GoT, but let's be real, it'll just be Jap-themed AssCreed with really good graphics and production values but not a whole lot else.

It'll get 9/10s from journos, sell a bazillion copies in its first month and then be completely forgotten by everyone shortly afterwards.

This was the first AAA game I'd been hyped for since I was put off of them after playing TLOU. When I heard it was a samurai/ninja hybrid game from SP I was hyped since I thought it'd have their signature stealth system. I've never been more disappointed in a game than when they showed that "gameplay" trailer. If they fix it up properly and don't just doubledown on the cinematic shit but truly make it a good samurai game then I'll be happy.

People who want to basically experience the game without playing it. Fun fact; the existence of these is why Sakurai of Super Smash Brothers fame declined to make another story mode, because he wanted people to play it.

This and This.I feel that all of SPs games in the past are infinitely replayable and a shit ton of people fall in love with them. Hell there's been an user making Rocket Robot on Wheels threads lately. I dont want GoT to just end up like every generic AAA game.

Someone should tell these people books exist.

Sekiro literally has stealth grass, and people who don't look up. The two big fouls of modern stealth. It did stealth worse than Tenchu on the PS1

>unique style of stealth
>enemies don't look up and its about slowly pushing the analog stick forward like literally every single stealth game

They'll just demand a written adaption of Uncharted

>and its about slowly pushing the analog stick forward
And you just proved you've never once played a Sly game

Like I said execution was rocky. However, you cant deny the mobility mechanics and how they played into stealth were extremely fun. If anything it shows that a good stealth game will give the player a number of mobility options, something that the old Sly games did consistently.

That is literally how you get behind people to pickpocket them and do the overhead smash takedown.

Looks like Assassin's Creed combat.

But you don't need to light up on the stick, you have stealth or sprint mode. It helps to push it lighter so you don't accidentally bump into them but a competent player can just walk right up at full walking speed, pick pocket them and leave without being spotted. You only make noise if you sprint or touch something that makes noise.

how does that even work most of it is dialogue

Yea Forums is literally retards flinging shit at other retards

This place is a zoo

Going to look like shit based on Sucker Punch's schizophrenic hiring lately.

It's going to be a bioshock infinite style flop

>I love the setting so I'll play Tsushima anyway,
game companies don't care if you like one game more than the other if you're still giving the one you like less $60
the money still counts even if it's given begrudgingly
this is why the games industry is so shit nowadays cause people will buy games even if they're mediocre
don't buy mediocre games
buy good games

I've stopped caring about this game just because they're so fucking hush hush about it, that kind of shit really pisses me off and I automatically think that, if you having nothing to talk about or so not want to say anything about or show off the game then it's most likely going to turn out shit. Just like when Streets of Rage 4 was announced but no system was specified at the time, like why keep it a secret you fucking faggots? Just fucking say that it's on multiple systems.

OHNONONONONO AHAHAHAHAHAH

There is no way there botw has almost 5 hours of cutscenes. That has to have conversations and gameplay thrown in or something. Just look at the difference in times between the three of those.
