That's basically what Count Dooku does and why for the most part in legends and canon he's so damn good of a lightsaber duelist. The rest of the Jedi of that era don't fight with the fencing-like style Dooku does because saber vs saber is rare, so they focus on lightsaber deflection and using the force to move around with flashy dodges.

the only reason that sort of position works for rapiers is because their complex hilts protect the user's hand and a good amount of the forearm. the hand is a massive target without the hilt and certain techniques become impossible or extremely dangerous without anything to stop a blade from sliding onto your hand.

Everytime i got to go to one of my black friends house i felt the same way. I wasnt welcome but i was just a kid so they tolerated me being there. It was always brief though, after like 30 minutes the parents or uncles or who ever would tell us to go outside. Pretty obviously just wanting my white ass out of their house. Can't blame them, this was the early 90s in the south so im sure those parents had many years of conditioning to not trust white folks. Being a kid it was pretty confusing though.

Return it back to original trilogy normal sword duels rather than hopping all over the fucking screen and having no choreography. The average lightsaber fight should be a samurai duel/high-noon showdown ended in a few strokes to payoff the tension built by the actual plot and characters.
