just want to know what I can improve really

I liked the design and the way you utilised the sun I’m not really sure how you could improve it other than making it harder by adding more panic jumps with bombs

Bit Crusade 3 is an adventure series of Mario levels that play in the traditional sense (scaling difficulty, hidden rooms and level theming). So if you like traditional Mario stages you’ll probably like these. The “game” will eventually utilize all 5 styles so there’s a little something for everyone. Every stage has five red coins hidden within that unlock a super bonus room at the end.

Starting Point:
1-1: Start of a New Journey V61-WT5-DPG

Current Stage:
4-1: Quartz Caverns 3XY-BQ7-2RG

After leaving the furnace, Mario finds himself inside an underground cave system. NSMB underground stage that utilizes that gametypes moveset, as well as some propeller shroom shenanigans.

Feedback is appreciated and returned. If you got a really good level I’ll likely make a short webm of it to showcase it. If you decide to take the plunge and play them I hope you enjoy them. If you complete everything up to the current stage let me know and I'll play all your levels if I haven't already.

4-2 is about 2/3 done, had to reset my subworld when I realized I had done goofed up. Will probably take a break in a few to play some more stages.

Dunno if you're actually serious but here, its the code for the first stage of my first game.

Here's my newest one. It's an enhanced version of an old level.

Banzai Bill Bonanza
5CD-QBQ-PYF

you're getting followed, buddy.

Got a couple levels but i don't really wanna list them all because that's a large amount. I'll just put down like 2 of em. They mostly play like run-of-the-mill mario levels with a few spiking in difficulty because i'm not the best maker but i hope you like them. Be sure to look at the other levels i've made too if you do.

>Bring these threads back when Bookmark gets updated. I know that's what I'm waiting for.
Same, I just can't stand going without the QOL update the site brought to the first game. Not utilizing it from the start for the sequel was an asinine decision.

I've got my tv set up beside my computer and I just scroll through the thread typing in the codes and trying each level. I am avoiding the puzzle-kaizo-underwater levels though

You know if you take the time to beat kaizo levels you might actually git gud at regular levels.

Attached: 1479670433079.jpg (552x510, 249K)

Here's another stage of mine, first you go over and around a Castle, then through it

Attached: Clouds n Castles.jpg (680x383, 69K)

I don't feel like spending 20 minutes doing the same 3 jumps over and over and not knowing what's coming up next that requires a full speed jump and landing on a certain enemy. Give me some regular levels with the option to do them really fast.

I just played the 1-1 with no floor level and did a decent speedrun of it. That's my idea of fun platforming.

>I just scroll through the thread typing in the codes
After they gave us the bookmark site for the first game, I just can't go back to typing in dozens and dozens of codes every day. I want to be able to click on a link on the site and have it come up in game.

What are you high scores for endless runs? I got 25 levels into extreme.

A retarded concept level. Just let me know what you think. Anything I could do better?

Pretty good. The flags are little farther apart than the casuals would like but I made it through with only a few deaths and it felt more rewarding. The boss fight was pretty good too and I like how the upper cloud area is the same area as the starting area. Luckily I didn't fall down

20 second speedrun, I think I might have made it a little too hard

Cool

>no coin trails or track markings for where to throw
>le ebin 20s to run and jump into switches meme
Are you retarded?

Not him but unless I run into a speedrun in endless I don't want cointrails, it's basically making it a brainless auto-level.

>it's basically making it a brainless auto-level.
That's what it is with the coin trails or not, what are you even implying? The trails are for telegraphing jumps which would otherwise be unavoidable deaths the first run through.

Attached: 1564202618143.jpg (1004x990, 650K)

>That's what it is with the coin trails or not
Without a coin trail you need to decide where to go, with a coin trail you're basically playing the smart phone game.

>Without a coin trail you need to decide where to go
its a 20s speedrun, you go right
>you're basically playing the smart phone game
yeah, thats a 20s speedrun level

Attached: 1559607677699.jpg (700x1050, 176K)

I don't like cointrails in speed runs, the noises they make get really fucking annoying when you're constantly dying and restarting. Also, there's one route, if you can't figure out where to go you're a fucking sped.

>when you're constantly dying and restarting
you shouldn't be constantly dying and restarting in a level where the gimmick is to go right and hit the jump button at the appropriate times. there is no skill involved, just memorization. what the fuck is wrong with zoomers? these are not good levels. stop making them.

> no skill involved
My level still has 0 clears you shitter

20s speedrun levels are the soulless equivalent of the don't move/hold right levels that were fucking everywhere in MM1, except with the absolute bare minimum amount of player participation added. How anyone over the age of 8 is entertained by these is beyond me, and I can't believe people here actually make, play, or defend these levels.

>you shouldn't be constantly dying and restarting in a level where the gimmick is to go right and hit the jump button at the appropriate times
Yeah I agree you shouldn't suck that fucking bad that you need coin trails.

>needs coin trails
This is pretty cringe man

Because its a shitty troll level where you have to make off screen upwards vertical claw jumps and shell throws. And don't think I don't know you're samefagging.

>australian flag

Attached: 1564526564716.gif (184x191, 1.67M)

I tend to agree with you, but so many people bitch if there aren't coin trails

Yeah man there's actually only one person in Australia at any given time hey
I thought 20 second speedruns required no skill though?

What kind of skill is required to anticipate things I literally cannot see? I'm not going to waste half an hour trying to clear a piece of shit some petrol-huffing criminal probably made in 5 minutes while under a drunken stupor when I could be playing lots of actual good levels made by other anons instead.

Anchorless this time, huh?

I have ten stages. Here are three:

Soles of the Departed
C80-VJX-WJG
The first of a trilogy with goomba shoes in perilous situations.

Defeat the Fleet
8D1-MTQ-HJG
Airship night level with bombs and a (hopefully) fun albeit fairly easy Bowser fight.

Sole Sacrifice (Newest)
BB2-DMK-LJG
To reach new heights demands sacrifice. Another shoe level among castles in a starry sky.

I'll be playing some levels fairly soon starting with people who have played mine. I'm on a sort of hiatus from making st the moment to play Three Houses, but I'll be back at it soon enough.

Sup anons, I posted The Gauntlet level in the last thread, and someone said it was too short. Did anyone else play it though, and would you say that kind of section is a good section or is it bullshit? I wanted to test it for a larger level.

My second level, which is easier and funner.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Here, I'll just post it.
>W0M-CSC-RPF

It's just a super short segment with giant thwomps, but I figured it was a neat segment to put into a bigger level.

How do you make reusable checkpoints? I've seen some levels do it but I don't get how it works.

In Mario Maker 1 I've seen some weird things where checkpoints where kinda placed "half-way" inbetween two paths and you could touch them either from one or the other side.
But I'm not sure how that works regarding respawning at the checkpoint and such.

If you touch a second checkpoint, the first checkpoint is usable again. So just have a checkpoint next to a pipe and have the pipe go to another checkpoint.

New level:

>FYK-75R-NPG

It is a standard airship nsmbu level with 3 possible paths to take.

I tend to check out at least 2 levels of the people who play when I post.

Oh that.
I'm not sure how it can be bs.
It's a fairly easy section.

MVN-G93-HHF

Some guy boo'd my level then went on to try to optimize to keep WR, what gives?

pouch is a fag

How do you know a level got bood'd?

The fuck is that on/off switch after two spikes in the hammerbro room. Are you for real?

Hmm?
I didn't boo it.
I just felt like playing the level.
I could like the level if you want me to.

I've noticed that name playing lots of levels from here but never leaving a like.

>I'm not sure how it can be bs.
I mean, some user yesterday was shrieking about another fairly easy section being bullshit, but neat. This gives me a fairly cool idea on how to use Thwomps to navigate the level with On/Off switches.

That's actually a leftover from when the room was laid out differently. Don't even need to use it to progress. Oops

Alright guys, here's my levels, hope you can play and like if you think it's not shit. Let me know what you think here or even better as a comment in the level:
>Ending the ones below
RXW-DJX-DJF
First level I made in MM2. I was pretty rusty so it might not have turned out so great. You have the option of either killing the mini bosses in the underground or having a tedious experience.

>Boogers
T5M-NMY-SGG
Level made in coop. The theme was my partner's sickness.

>The Wizard's Vault
N44-BB6-H3G

>The Bomb Master's Domain
LFK-NKK-WQG
First part of a trilogy. Huge level with branching paths where you build up your power-ups to beat the boss. You actually end up running away.

>The Bomb Master's New Ride
HGT-5G5-1JG
Second part of a trilogy. Same theme as before, as usually happens with part 2 of something.

>Chill with the Bullies
S7T-LK5-F3G
Level inspired by the Super Mario 64 Star.

>Mount Skipsqueak
GQ3-JVP-WJF
Climb to the top! Get all the red coins for a better shot at the WR.

>Bridge Builder

Level focused on using Y to spawn boxes and build bridges.

>Mutant Goomba Swamp

>Four Player Race

Level made with 4 players in mind.

>Escape From Boo SkyZone LLC
I don't really understand the theme or what this is all about but it was quick and fun enough

I was the guy who left the comment. I genuinely liked your level, but I got unlucky and killed that one thwomp with the switch blocks and just had to wait out the timer. Twice. It's still a really fun level though. I also didn't notice the bottom spring in the last room at first, so I was trying to throw the spring into the air and bounce off of it midair. I am not a smart man.

I tried to go for all the mini bosses but apparently I must have missed one cause I was one red coin short at the end and had to sit through that annoying slow sound effect spam for a minute. Oh well. Good idea though and the mini bosses I did manage to find where fun enough, although the bob omb one could have used something for a bit more extra oomph.

Yeah I didn't realise the issue with the thwomp before, thanks for pointing it out! I've moved the thwomp down a bit and added a pair of doors by the switch to respawn him if that happens. I'll reupload.

What a nice relaxing level. There's not enough underwater levels out there.
Sure is a lot of fish at the end!

Hey thanks man. Lol yeah lots of fish, I wanted to make them sorta like a living boundary to swim around, moving from the more enclosed cavey parts to a wider ocean as you climb to the surface. Was the ocean confusing to navigate? I made the places you could safely swim wide, but if you're ballsy there's things to find and shortcuts to take.

I love water levels, always have. Something about the ambiance always really appealed to me.

Yeah, that must be why that level has the worst reception out of all of them. I must just delete and fix it to make the bosses mandatory.

Thanks for playing.

Can I play anything to return the favor?

Nah due to your coin trails it was very obvious for me where to go.
I'm just surprised someone got that kind of WR on it. They must have probably damage boosted hard through the non-autoscroll parts.

Eh, you don't have to, I try to play as many courses each thread as I can when I'm around anyway. But of course I don't mind you checking out my stuff, just pick whatever you feel like. Although I'd advise against Sawblade Trio or The Longest Jump

I enjoyed that. Short and sweet and you kept increasing the challenge slightly with every iteration of it.

MQ6-2L1-PYF
Reupload of
Fixing the soft locks and mistakes.

This really isn't fun for me, too much trial and error. Also to be honest, if I had encountered this in Endless I would have pretty much instantly given it a boo for the thwomps and then skipped it - so take that as you will.

Very unforgiving with off screen thwomps, extra spinies falling down that you didn't know about, just all around a kind of "die your way through meter by meter until you learn about the obstacles".

Alright, there's barely any feedback on this thread and I would like to at least acknowledge levels that have some effort AND marketing behind them before posting my own

Loved your level, man, I'd say it's one of the prettiest NSMBU levels I've ever seen posted. I tend to be overcritical of the 3D interfaces, so it speaks volumes of the vision behind this one. Loved the idea of the undercurrents leading to that big ol' ocean full of stupid fish, which were tricky but not impossible to navigate. I don't get why the hellacopter mushroom, though, like why that one thematically speaking? That reservoir sure saved my ass, though. Spent like ten minutes until I passed, since I suck. Congrats!

ANYWAY, HERE'S MY SECOND LEVEL EVER IF YOU PEOPLE WANNA:

>Under Siege! The Walking War!
5RV-LJY-8WF

Alone against the Pirate Emperor's machines! Infiltrate, sabotage, destroy!

Attached: EBDg3ZsU8AAVLVT.jpg (1280x720, 189K)

>that have some effort AND marketing behind them before posting my own
What do you mean by marketing?
if you mean including images/webms that sucks as a rangeban has been cockblocking me from uploading any lately

Not him, but I'd define marketing as pitching your level to us, telling us the appeal, the intended difficulty, etc., as opposed to just dumping your code without even saying the name of the stage.

fair enough

The helicopter shroom barrier was so that players couldn't just barge in and lay waste to all the cheep cheeps, but I didn't want to make a damage barrier.

I wanted players to be able to take two hits in case they had a hard time adjusting to the new boundaries that the fish provide, and if things get too dicey and you didn't eat them all on the first pass you'll have some extras that you might be able to go back down to. Plus the dome helmet kinda sorta looks like a diving helmet. There is a way to commit some fish genocide but you probably already saw that if you beat it in the upper left corner. Did you find all the red coins? Thanks for playing it dude! I'll give yours a go soon as I finish this expert course

I don't have the patience for this level. I'm sorry. I see that it has well made parts and all, but it's just too long and you fall back too far when you die, further exacerbated by how punishing many of the jumps and actions you ask the player to do are with no room to mess up whatsoever.

>ryu new video
>says one of his levels was given to him on "an anonymous media platform that I will not say because I don't want you to know I go there"

Is he talking about us? I don't recognize the creator though and he could have picked a better level from us if he does browse here.

It was a lifesaver, and the diving helmet idea didn't cross my mind and now I love the little detail! I completely miss the fish killing machine unless you're talking about the fire flowers? Probably not! And yes, I did find them, even though I forgot about one I lost earlier that got behind the checkpoint and had to backtrack, but that's on me! Thanks dude, appreciate it.

That's fair enough, I'm struggling with difficulty gauging and I appreciate someone pointing it out to me. I've made two levels and both have like 1% completion rate, and I don't think it's unfair at any point because I don't like trial and error and kaizo, but it is demanding and maybe I put too much stuff in a given level. In fact, after the endless process that was making this one, I began making a little bitty level as a form of teraphy. Thanks for playing!

i dont care about e-celebs

Just clicked through the video and none of those levels are from here.

I don't know any of the levels in that video, so I doubt it

KXF-N4Q-QNG
Switching Gears

Who here /hasn't even finished all story mode levels yet/

i stopped after i unlocked everything

I got the castle to 100% and I stopped, but to be honest the story levels are probably better than 90% of the stuff you get online.

What if I paid someone to make a nice level that I would then recreate and upload as my own to rank in sweet likes
Any level makers for hire here?

Attached: 74448727.jpg (413x499, 109K)

how much?

1 dollar per 20 likes it gets

What would be the point of doing that?
If you want maker points that badly just make some artsy themed levels or some 20s speedruns.
People seem to like those.

72W-DSH-GYG
My latest creation. Fun to speedrun and play normally. Classic style of level. Hope you like it

Played Infiltrate the Mole Fleet and man was it good. Now I feel embarrassed you went through my shitty level.

Four Tubes but only one brings you to the exit!

> Bowser's under Castle Sewer
5MN-V7N-C0G
Its hot! its fast! and it looks like you sneak into bowser castel (this is why i made a fake stage on the top)

I wish you a lot of fun with it.
And please, feel free to judg them, so i know what i can make better in the future

Don't look down! Else you might start feeling a little toasty!

> Bowser Sewer
> 6.02%
> 5/83 manage to beat this
Its cant be so hard, can it?

This level took way too long to clear check. I don't know why I keep making "can't touch the ground" levels when testing them is so time-consuming. Or maybe I'm making them too long and frustrating...
Anyway, try it out and I'll try out yours.
the coin trails in the final sections are kind of shitty so don't rely on them

KT2-MSG-1FG

This was exhausting so I'm gonna cool off playing some user levels.

ok, you have to be quick at some points, but its a fun idea. also the decoy is cute

>playing your own level is exhausting
>expect others to suffer through it

I have to agree with the other user. The level is well made and had many good concept, but if you fuck up once you pretty much have to restart, and some times it's not very clear where you should be going.
Still liked it, and will try it again later.

Oh, you misunderstood, playing it wasn't what tired me. Finding and fixing difficulty spikes and parts that were broken was.
My level is based on lift platforms, so there were some parts where the platforms would need to sync up perfectly, but the way they are spawned changes depending on when the player reaches different parts of the level so testing various possible scenarios was very tiring.

You ever just realize in the middle of making your level that it's way too difficult both making and playing it to justify the fact maybe 2 people will play it?

Attached: 00goebbels5.jpg (234x283, 21K)

I will beat this level, someday! I keep messing up on the 4th section.

i dont make levels like that

The fish killer is in the upper corner a bit past the exit pipe that leads to the flag, I hid a star on a track up there.

I finished both of your levels, and wew, put me through the wringer with these. Grandma's House was the more fun of the two, I really liked that intro piranha fight, kept me on my toes from minute one. Grandma's House was the easier of the two, took a couple tries but I got it without too much hassle. Under Siege has a lot of good challenges in it, I agree with what you said to the other guy in that none of them felt kaizo or unfairly dropped onto the player. That said, fair as they may be, a lot of them are pretty tough, and leave little to no room for error, and it's a lengthy hike back if you do die.

Even if all the challenges in a level are presented in a fair way, when enough are compounded on each other, unless you're a hardcore expert you're not gonna be able to do them all flawlessly every time. Some parts of the level can be cheesed too, the first castle room can be skipped if you lure the first flying buzzy over enough so that it spawns, and then you can jump to the others. Also unless I missed something the only way to get the 2nd checkpoint at all is to keep the helmet that you get at the start, which is a little crazy.

I think you got potential though, this stage would be pretty dang good were it not for the bottomless pits and you had more opportunities to try the challenges again without dying and being kicked back. Keep at it man, I think you can nail this if ya keep trying.

Currently burning through yours right now, I noticed you playing a buncha mine. Hope you're likin em so far

Remade my level called The Gauntlet, called it The Gauntlet v2 Redux because I'm such an increative fuck.

TRT-DNY-VXF

Hope you anons like it, I'm done making levels for now after this shit so I'll play some of y'alls levels and see how they go.

What are the differences between v1 and v2?

v1 was basically just the first section with the thwomps, while v2 has a few new sections.

Nah man, making levels is fun. Even though you want to make something that anybody can enjoy, the main reason you should be making levels in a video game about making levels is for your own satisfaction and enjoyment. If you can't find the intrinsic value in that and are only driven by false popularity, you might not be spending your time wisely.

That's a good point I guess.

There is a checkpoint right after this one. I messed up the checkpoint placement and it should have been closer than it is right now.

>>The Wizard's Vault
>N44-BB6-H3G
Nice easy level. I haven't tried getting the coins, but since you need a key to reach the goal anyway, couldn't a player get the optional key and go straight pass the boss?

>>Ending the ones below
RXW-DJX-DJF
As the other user said, I missed one coin (I think I needed the leaf to get to that underground section) and had to suffer the slow ending. Nice level otherwise, I liked how each miniboss had an intro part that previewed what kind of enemies you'd be facing.

Thanks for playing it! Hope you come back and enjoy it. Completely agree with your opinion as well. Checkpoint placement is always tricky, even more so when I have to take into account the restarting position of On/Off switches. Live to learn!

Thanks for the detailed feedback, really appreciate comments like this! Grandma's House is a level that I really like, and I feel like I nailed the tone I was going for, so I'm overjoyed to hear so positively about it. Its only problem is the same one Under Siege has and you mentioned in your comment, which is the overall toughness of the challenges that keep piling up. You really have to work a sweat to reach the checkpoints, and by the time you manage the second one you are basically finished.

>Some parts of the level can be cheesed too, the first castle room can be skipped if you lure the first flying buzzy over enough so that it spawns, and then you can jump to the others

I spent hours moving things around especifically so you couldn't do this, but there was always a slim chance of a skilled player spawning that blasted critter. I sort of gave up at the end and made it so the blue block bridge was long enough to deter less driven players lol

>Also unless I missed something the only way to get the 2nd checkpoint at all is to keep the helmet that you get at the start, which is a little crazy

It's entirely possible to do it without a helmet, just gotta hang from the vine enough to find the little moment you can jump into the Spider's Maw, and then climb up towards the flag. There's really very little room for you to get back to the claw at that point, but if you have already followed its trajectory you will be able to manage with the long vine you got on your right. Should have telegraphed that one more, but I sacrificed the opportunity in favor of more coin chains. Love em.

Thanks for the feedback and for your kind words. I would say the same to you, but it's already been proved you're elite.

Moron from earlier

Dusty Desert Dilemma (CLX-RYD-51G): Another Metriodvania like level that involves you gathering items to progress through the level similarly other Metriodvanias more unlike my other two.

>couldn't a player get the optional key and go straight pass the boss?
Yes, but the boss blocks the path to the door anyway. Didn't think this would be an issue for most 1st time players.

> I missed one coin
I need to fix this. Thanks for the feedback.

Got anything for me to play?

idk the difficulty, literally the first Mario level I’ve ever made

I'll shill some of my levels. Play whichever you want (if any at all)

NEW
Lift me up
KT2-MSG-1FG
A don't-touch-the-groud level centered around lifts, where you move from lift to lift and avoid spikes and cannonballs to get to the goal. True ending for the braves.

Memories in the Dark
M0W-G89-2NG
A series of platforming sections, but you have to play each section twice: once at day time and one in the dark! Red coins are optional

The moles' trap
KPG-DRC-DGG
Seems like a simple platforming level but something happens. (unless you cheese it and skip most of the level)

Clawin' around
NMJ-GT2-2CG
Hard and long'don't touch the ground' course with claws

The trials of Mario
LQB-2RN-RVF
6 rooms where you use a powerup to get to the exit

Buzzy Shell Ridin'
879-GL8-56G
Long-ish course all about riding buzzy beetle shells

Math Test
JWT-GDG-RBG
Asolve the operations to get to the answer of each room (the sfx makes it too easy)

Advanced climbing
DPH-2BC-GHG
Short but needs a lot of precision, one mistake will lose you a bunch of progress

Hop Step Jump!
06J-9N0-VPG
Very hard, bounce on the enemies without touching the ground

The metal colossus
LML-WF3-KTG
Easy themed level, climb the giant robot's body and disable its engine

Cargo Ship Calamity
WG8-SR7-PTF
>Scour islands for POWs and stow them aboard! Look out for red coins, too...
In this level you ride a real, moving ship through the jungle, passing several islands along the way. Each island has a POW (and a red coin, which you'll need if you want the bonus), which you must grab and drop off on the ship. Be quick, or you'll be left behind!

I just finished videoing it too, so here's a normal video of the level (no red coins): vimeo.com/351904151

>Lift me up
Much more fun than I expected until I started losing for leaving platforms too soon or because bullets made me jump.
Really tight and well made, but I think there are too many ways to get fucked and replaying from scratch is very frustrating. Requires too much patience, needs to be shorter or have more checkpoints.

peach is a gross whore

your mother is a gross whore. peach is pure

Good idea and theme overall but forcing to find 100% pows and forcing you to start over is not good

Just made this after weeks of working. First multiplayer level

P36 5P8 YSF

Your mother is a gross peach

I was afraid of this, and I actually wanted to ask if people thought the stage was too long but forgot to. I think I might split it up in 2 smaller ones.
Unfortunately you can't have checkpoints on stages with clear conditions. Thank you for playing!
