Reminder that these trolls are full of shit. Every game was based on the bitching/feedback of the past game and then the community STILL bitches. People complained about wanting to just see more of the world of Spira, so they gave people X-2. Then people complain that X-2 didn't have a serious enough story, so they gave us XII. Then people complain about feeling like the main characters aren't that relevant to the main plot of XII. So they gave us XIII and to help keep relevancy they had to design the levels in a way that was consistent with the developments of each character.

But then people complained that XIII was like hallways. So they gave us XIII-2, and then people omplain that there was no lightning. So they gave us Lightning returns. Then they complain about it not being open world like other modern RPG's at the time. So they gave us XV. Then they complain that XV 's open world is ruining the pacing of the story.

When will Square Enix stop listening to feedback?

XIII was a pretty decent story but the combat was pretty mindnumbing up until the last three bosses. XIII-2 was amazing and had really great characters. And Lightning Returns I couldn't give a chance since the port runs like shit for me, but I feel like if they had a coherent story throughout all 3 games it could have easily been one of the best FFs of all time

They just do whatever the fuck they want and take whatever direction they please with the game's as long as it's possible.

They compromised.

Sazh was based and by far the best character. Shame he was tied to the hip with vanille for no good reason at all. Lightning and snow were both characters that showed actual character growth but they still have significant flaws. Lightning starts out as such a big cunt it was a turnoff for half the fanbase, has hank hill ass and is attracted to her teenage sister. Hope was a faggy token gacktbait. The lesbian couple was meh. I enjoyed 13 a lot, but I understand why it was poorly received, personally I loved the characters, the world, the interactions between the characters and their growing friendships, the art direction, the music, and the gameplay...even if it was overly simplified with the optional auto battle. Didn't care much for the search for Serah plot point or the back and forth with Barthandeleus, felt like a retread of FF10 and yu yevon monk dude, but I enjoyed the rest, except the underground mines area, fuck that boring shit.
The sequel, imo is better in every way, and it has one of the most underrated FF OSTs.
13-3 is a depressing snore fest I haven't been able to complete, which is a shame cause the way 2 ended was pretty damn hype.
Wish more of that ancient lore from fabula nova crystal was explored more, I found that kinda shared Gods between then versus 13, agito and 13 fascinating, always hoped they were connected in the same solar system of planets, or the same.planet but in different times of the world's life time.
