The pixel grill is just the normal grill pic heavily compressed and with a filter added to it.

It also likely is faked since other people tried it and got way worse results.

Of course it's faked, only a brainlet would think that a program being sold on steam for like 10$ could produce anything like that by downsizing without serious AI help.

It's not specifically for pixel art but it helps regardless. I often use game maker 2's sprite editor for animation recently, it does the job pretty well and makes it a lot easier to put all the assets in for the game.
