>Perfect your logic
>Get fucked by luck-only scenario
It's a reflection of real life.

How many mines are left?

2

Hit either top left or bottom right. Top right is in range of both 2s and therefore has a higher chance of being the mine.

Bottom right square isn't a mine.

If there's 2 mines he's fucked either way.

Niggas, how the fuck do I read the numbers in Minesweeper?

Idiots the only true non mine is bottom left

I've been alive since 1987, been messing with computers since 1993, and I still have no fucking clue how you're supposed to play this or what the numbers mean outside of "proximity to bomb".

No, if there's 2 mines, the top right and bottom left spots can have mines. It adds up.

yikes

Play the minesweeper that is guaranteed solvable:

you're welcome

Are you asking what they mean? Each number tells you how many of the eight squares around it are mines

You flag spots that you think are mines. You then click areas that aren't mines until there are non left. You're a literal 'mine sweeper'.

I think you might be retarded then I learnt this game in 5 minutes in 9th grade

is there a 3D minesweeper

The number shows how many of the 8 surrounding squares are mines. For example, that 1 in the bottom right means that 1 of those 2 squares must be a bomb. The 2s confirm this, since we know of 1 bomb already, there's at least 1 bomb left to find. Same with the 3. Think of it as process of elimination, until you've flagged every bomb.

I think books might be better for you guys

I need to find and install Chip's Challenge at some point

Oh fuck I'm retarded. I didn't know diagonal squares counted as adjacent.

Best Minesweeper iteration coming through.

fake and gay

I really like this seed, the last guess is quite interesting right?

What happens when you pull a thing that is not a vine.

if there are 3 mines you're fucked
if 2, you could try bottom left, but might not reveal much

Guess? Maybe if you're brainlet.

If all mines must be next to a numbered square, then a mine in the top-left and bottom right would solve this. If not then you're fucked

life

Hexcells Infinite is the best evolution of Minesweeper.

3 would be good. If there were 3 left. Their locations would be known. meaning top right is the only free square. That is the opposite of fucked.
2 left means it's checkered. 50/50 shot.

neat, thanks.

Nah ilike I said it is solvable without any guessing, I meant the last move

literally happens half of the time when playing on the bigger boards

if there are 3 mines they are guaranteed to be top left, bottom left and bottom right.
if there are 2 mines they are either top left and bottom right OR top right and bottom left, meaning you have to guess and you have a 50% chance of winning.
if there is 1 mine left it is guaranteed to be top right.

Just play hexcells

right
still nothing on bottom left, correct?
not that it will be of much help though

the problem is that the spots you mentioned could be numbers, leaving the mines in the top right and bottom left instead

"Guaranteed solvable" my ass

Consider that our known squares as two separate situations. the top two are a zone of two squares that must only have 1 bomb. the right two are also a zone of two squares that can have only one bomb.
Assume there are two bombs left on the counter.
They cannot both reside in only one of these zones, so they cannot be both top or both right.
It is true that if one were top left and one were bottom right, it would satisfy both zones and the bomb total.
But, both zones share a square, the top right. One bomb here could satisfy both zones. And with 2 bombs unaccounted for. The second bomb would have to be bottom left.

So, if the count is 2, the solution is one of these two answers. Which makes each square exactly a 50/50 guess.

post screenshots when you get stuck and I'll solve it for you

I have disdain for the poor explanation of the "separate" indicator, and something else ticked me off with it, but a great game regardless, and infinite mode is decent even if they all end up fairly similar.

>reducing the difficulty of minesweeper, the worlds most casual game

that's a big YIKES from me

You guys got me to check.
I'll say that was very tricky indeed. You don't usually have to resort to counting with so many bombs left.
I actually did screencap and almost post here to say it was unsolvable. But I got it.

Ignoring the bomb count, there could be two combinations to the top right area; that I am assuming we were all getting stuck on. But the difference in bomb total between these combinations makes the difference. Only one works out if you count the spaces.

top left*
I need to walk away from the computer. I am owner of two posts itt now that are barely intelligible.
