Never played the game. So what parts about it ended up being SMT and what parts ended up being FE? I mean in the end it still was a crossover even if it failed on delivering what people were expecting, so like what aspects did it take from the two series?

Gameplay is similar to Strange Journey with some weapon triangle thrown in. The main cast use FE characters as Personas but there's no fusion. Anna shows up as a clerk in a Jack Frost-themed convenience store too. That's about the extent of it, it's mostly its own thing and not really a crossover like the original teaser advertised.

Mostly the gameplay. isn't a proper crossover since the game wanks hard FE.

But you can see some bits there and there.
