Why is the Alien Hunters DLC so shit?

he is playing a videogame, yes

Why can i play Ufo Defense just fine without savescumming but nuXcom feels like a complete frustating chore

>>spend an hour customizing my squad
You're taking their bait.

>playing xcom 1
>female squad with men either dead or in recovery
>females panic
>get a slight boner
such is life of a virgin

Played XCOM 2 vanilla, beat it on commander ironman, had a great time. Is it worth buying all the DLC and playing through again?

>play with modded missions
>let's just throw 20 units at them all at once
Why do they do this?

I finally go this game after 700 hours of EU and whats the big fucking deal about it? It's the same game except you kill humans instead of aliens. 90% of the enemies are just advent mutants. How quaint and boring

>use mod to outfit my squad as faceless grunts with balaclava and helmet in all black
>personalize them a bit more when they get promoted until they eventually become my unkillable customized killing machine
I need more games that let me autism theough character progression and customization like this

wait for a sale then buy the whole package, alien kings and SPARKs are a fine addition

more like gay mer

You don't customize anyone until they've ranked up a few times. They just get to be generic rookies until they've proved they won't die. It's like in the middle ages where sometimes kids didn't get named until they were a few years old because child mortality was so common.

shut up leo

>get mod that lets you use alien corpses and some resources to buy xeno squad members
>half my squad is snaketits

>99% chance to hit
>misses

That's why you don't waste time customizing rookies.

What are some tips for this game? I'm pretty trash

Your soldiers NEED high cover. I was only able to win commander ironman after learning that.

Low cover is no cover
Flashbangs can bail you out of bad situations

>80 hours played
>never beat the game
>only play Commander Iron Man

It's about a resistance movement, shit shouldnt be easy.

Cause new xcom does everything it can to make losing a soldier suck way harder than old xcom. Everything from the amount of people you can take on a mission to gear potentially being lost is all so losing a soldier is never a "whatever" sort of deal like it was in classic xcom. This sort of takes away from how special the few survivors were but it works with the overall lower squad sizes.

The most important thing is learning how to trigger groups of enemies one at a time. To do that you need a stealth unit to scout ahead (ranger or reaper). Aim to trigger pods one at a time and wipe them out on the turn you activate them. Grenades are good for destroying cover and guaranteed damage early game.

> legit have a difficult time starting a new campaign instead of just making more custom soldiers
