idk like 80 bucks on a rare saturn game

My highest spending amount was 70 euros on preordering the first destiny without DLCs.
I learned my lesson

twitter is so fucking retarded I bet they gave that lying faggot clout

rip

Attached: gasp.jpg (900x440, 34K)

I have never spend any kind of money on a game.

I've spent 5,000 on Path of Exile across 7 years but I make over 100,000 a year so it's not really that big of a deal. People spend way more money on stupid shit.

I think maybe $2,400 on Mabinogi over 5 years.
Thank god I quit, fucking reforge/gacha cancer, savings is actually growing now.

$70 on a spare copy of Ocarina of Time Master Quest Toys R Us had laying around shortly after Wind Waker launched.

too ashamed to say.

I spent like 400 total on dota 2

but how much of that was RMT?

Spent a couple of thousand on Path of Exile over the years.

I’ve spent over $100 on overwatch loot boxes when they first came out.

I’m so sorry.

I spent over $500 getting every Lego Dimensions pack. Unlike digital microtransactions I'd be able to get most of my money back if I felt like reselling them.

Is Mabinogi still alive even?

I paid 60 freedombucks for Evolve

Attached: 1558750226012.jpg (780x818, 133K)

0, just cosmetic bullshit and stash tabs. But I have over 5000 hours in it so a dollar an hour is still better than a good chunk of games that come out these days.

And it was on the PS3.
I don't know what the fuck I was thinking

you are all fags, if you had bought like 2k of link in january you would have like 25k by now, literally kys

Slightly over 2k in Dota 2

I think Dragons Dogma because I bought it three times

Maybe about 200€ on Path of Exile
Got 1500 hours of playtime though

On a video game? no more than $100.00 but all video games? From going over my budget from my entire life it averages about to $100,000.00. It sickens me to think of that much money being spent but regrets are nothing more than lessons you haven't learned yet.

I've spent a good amount on World of Warcraft (~$1.4k for the subscription alone and probably another $1k for transfers etc) and around $500 on SMITE skins. It's probably more than that, but I can't be arsed to check right now.

>family sharing with my lil' bros
>they spend a shitload on tf2 and all that, games, and more random dogshit
>they make their own accounts and like the idiots they are don't want to family share
>take all their items from their inventories, all the games were from my account so i keep those, all the other shit is now mine
>debate on shutting down their old accounts but keep them and transform them into ERP scam accounts
>make more bank off of horny eboys wanting to fuck randomy egirls
7,000 dollars of free shit with only about 400 from me on games. Quit doing the ERP scam when I reached 1,500 worth of free shit. This is all on Steam and most likely I've spent only 300 on games that were from Goodwill, Amazon, etc for cheap.

Fun Fact: If you have a used copy of a game and the code is used, you can contact Steam Support with the code and they'll give you that game. Used this for a long time to get a literal couple hundred dollars worth of games for dirt cheap. Like 100 dollars for 1,000 of games that were on Steam.

Attached: 1446335858859.jpg (500x430, 48K)

Thankfully I never paid more than the price of an initial game ever when they are F2P
Most I did though was Xenoblade 2 limited edition for 100bucks, worth it desu I like it

Last I heard they recently merged Mari/Tarlach/Ruairi together and left Alexina in the dust and it's still alive enough that whales are still buying gacha

Spent probably $200 on CSGO skins and crate keys over the course of like 6 months back when I played it obsessively. Other than that, I used to be retarded and sometimes pre-order those $100+ deluxe editions of games I was hyped for like inFamous 2, Uncharted 3, Mass Effect 2, Halo 3, etc.

I've spent over $100 on Fortnite skins and dances ahaha fuck

$600 dollars for a collectible

Ive probably spent 100s on WarThunder over the years on premium time and premium vehicles, i dont dare add it up. Thats after probably doing the same beforehand on World of Tanks.... I'm cured now i swear.

What is your conversion rate for Time -> USD?

I did too then played like 200 hours in the first month shitting on faggots as Goliath or Griff before people got gud. Worth it. Definitely pity any late comers or dipshits that bought DLC

Attached: 1561613285567.jpg (855x395, 142K)

I bought a PS4 just for RDR2. Bought a PS2 just for GTAIII. Bought a N64 just for OOT.

Why doesn't Star Shitizen get more criticism for this? Fuck all your pay-to-win microtransactions and live services and shit. How the fuck are these niggers getting away with charging thousands of dollars for digital content in a game that isn't even finished yet?

I spent at LEAST $300 for fashion and premium passes in PSO2.

>paying money for games

Attached: 1554199337813.png (976x658, 300K)

>tfw I am poor as fuck, can barely afford to treat myself
>tfw this fucker spends over a year of my wage's on some digital scam ships

Kill the rich doesn't sound like a bad idea

i bought a tf2 backback extender to upgrade my account, don't remember how much it was

whats link?

I spent 10 bucks on cubeworld.

Attached: 1559934758274.gif (450x650, 2.03M)

>People are rich, that's an issue
Fuck you, I'm a poorfag too but resenting someone just because they have it better in life in terms of finances doesn't mean they're bad

Attached: 1534555645813.jpg (500x375, 47K)

Why do people care about Scam Citizen? I thought it was going to be great until they started selling ships. How are they going to balance the game between people who just bought it and all the whales spending thousands? Shit will be pay2win day 1 and probably will only be full of whales competing with real money.

I played wow for like 2 years so the total cost of the subscription.

Cult-like behavior

I guess the biggest single purchase was Dominions 3 when it was still published by Shrapnel Gaming: it was only available through retail abroad (shipment cost) and it suffered from grognard tax so was priced above regular AAA retail prices. So 80 eurobucks or something like that.

A /biz/ meme. Can't wait for the pink fields once again.

Sure, because rich people make their money totally fairly.

>costs as much as a car
this is why americans are hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt before they reach age 30

Full price Mass effect 2, TW3 and MGSV.
Any game with a score under 10/10 I pirate instead.

And if you had bought like 2k of bitcoin in 2011 you'd be a multimillionaire by now, literally kys

Now, now. They were born into that wealth fair and square.

A lot of them actually do, believe it or not. Having money doesn't make someone a bad person. But a dumb communist is dumb.

besides actually paying for a game ive probably apend around 2 bucks total inside videogame stores
it was for a tf2 key the first time crates and keys came out

>he doesn't know
>he doesn't understand

Same here, had fun. I don’t mind flavors of the week/month and didn’t understand when anons started bitching and moaning about a flavor of the week/month dying until I realized they were just poorfags who need to get years of play out of a game that costs more than $4.99

>on again off again WoW for 14 years: ~1200
>GTA V cash cards: ~500
>89 for ultimate edition RDR2

Attached: 433px-Sylvanas_Windrunner_Commercial.jpg (433x180, 10K)

I bought all the DLC tracks for both Theatrhythm games. Does that count?

Attached: crypto-cucks.png (1410x1145, 764K)

Probably Street Fighter from all of the fightsticks I've bought over the past 10 years.

about 560 USD

I've spent more than that if we are counting donations to Twitch steams

you better now follow them or you will regret it, trust the neets

Counts as pretty stupid considering how easy the 3DS is for piracy. Speaking of 3DS piracy, anyone know where I can get Fire Emblem Fates If undubbed without the gay marriage patch?

Rich man spends money
Money gets taxed
Money pays for your health care and roads
Even if you hate the rich, you should appreciate they're spending their money on stupid shit since it also benefits you

I don't even feel disgust or anger anymore when seeing photos like this anymore.

Attached: 1538415723051.jpg (523x587, 85K)

Keep telling yourself that lmao

My most is prob close to 20-30$ on cs go cases, or maybe around 60-90$, maybe more on WOW xpacs and game time
As for actual games
>preordered destiny 1 for 60$
>preordered gta v for 60$
>got mass effect andromeda for 60$

€120 for the special edition of Duke Nukem Forever.

lego are actually a solid investment

i spent like $300 on planetside2 because i forgot i had bought the monthly bonus pack and was paying for it for 2 years after i had stopped playing

Attached: 1559078799496.png (174x160, 1K)

no point in being disgusted anyway, user. RSI/cloud imperium or whatever the fuck they're called are literally ponzi tier.

>he actually believes this

Oof

more like
>rich man buys his 4th ferrari
>accountant fiddles the books so no tax is paid
>dealership fiddiles the books so money is sent offshore avoiding tax
>rich mans junkie son crashes car into a school
>gets best health care on dads company policy
>poor kids crippled for life because they cannot afford good doctors.

Around 500 in dota battle passes since ti7

wtf I hate vennootschapsbelasting now

0$ I always pirate like a chad I am

This is why we need socialism.

NOBODY should be able to spend 60k on a few lines of code on a game.

That’s 60k could pay for my college loans and I’d still have enough for healthcare for the next 5 years.

why are people still supporting this money sink?

I bought the MGS4 and FFVII Littlenigplanet DLCs, only to realize I goddamn hated the game. Sony drones have the shittiest tastes in platformers.

$60 or however much MGSV was on release.

$80 on a sealed copy of Gotcha Force

I bought XB2 twice, I guess. I forgot I had ordered the Japanese edition. Otherwise I just pirate games. Rarely buy games

I probably spent the most on Rock Band and it's DLC

So what about the guy next to you?

Well over a thousand on WoW

About $300 on War Thunder.

Attached: 1564473348077.gif (500x357, 421K)

Protip: socialism is only popular to socialists if it directly benefits their own position

>no one pays taxes
lol okay commies, go commit another accidental genocide

I pre-ordered the £80 version of Borderlands 3. I'm not good with money, chief.

Around four years of WoW subscription back in 2005-2010. Not sure how much it's in dollars because I used to buy those game time cards from a local game shop and those came with discounts.
At least 300 dollarydoos on dota 2 cosmetics, but I'm sure I've made "profit" since I've sold most of the valuable shit on steam market and bought other games instead.
Then there's the battlefield 4 and premium, totaling for 120 dollars. Played about 20 hours.

At least online was free

That 60K is that mans money to do with as he sees fit however your implying that if we switched to a socialist state you would be ok with taking that mans money for your own personal gain so the question you have to ask your self is why are you not sharing the peoples computer you are posting from with every one who wants to use it?

Attached: 1407250331030.jpg (500x647, 103K)

Bought season pass for Arkham Knight because I loved City and Asylum so much. Didn't buy DLCs for Origins and the challenge mode in Arkham City was fun
Arkham Knight on the other hand had a garbage challenge mode with tons of different challenges instead of just combat and predator challenges
Too many gimmicky challenges that weren't fun and the only good ones there were 3 of them. Fuck Batmobile too. I also bought the collector's edition and due to it being delayed I got a digital copy free and ended up selling it, so I made some money back at least, but I also got the Arkham Knight edition PS4 and sold the game that came with that too, but I've never gotten a season pass since and can't justify buying AAA games anymore since they never turn out great now

lol'd

£150 on rocket league. Haven’t bought a key in over a year now

The loneliness must be crippling

Why are Star Citizen and Elite Dangerous players so autistic, anons?

about $250 on world of warcraft

The only AAA shit i've bought in 6-7 years has been Witcher 3 and that's it
Imagine giving your well earned money to shitty corporations that are only contribuiting to ruin videogames by turning them into broken, greedy live service bullshit

Attached: 1416547436860.png (331x329, 131K)

Both were promised the stars and barely received the moon and probably won't receive much more ;_;

$200 bucks on fortnite. I give em $5 a month over 2 years so long as its still entertaining.

140 on conckers bad fur day.

I bought the $99 xenoblade 2 SE, but other than that I bought a copy of SMT 3 nocturne for $90 on ebay back when that game was super hard to find.

Redpill me on star citizens. Boomber here. It just smells of a total hustle.

over 100 on path of exile stash tabs.

$20

~10k on magic cards over 10 years
> Still don't have a legacy deck

It is a total hustle.

Hitman 2016 and Hitman 2. Bought the most expensive editions of each of them because I love what they did to the franchise and I wanted to support their endeavors. If they nickel and dime me for DLC I will buy it all.

Like £50. Honestly, I regret paying full price for games.

this. Probably like near 100 for an unopened copy of earthbound.

I buy a few collector's editions on games every once in a while, but never more than, like, $200 or something around that.
Most shameful one was pic related, I own the mech edition.

>playing the same game for even over 100 hours
I can understand if you want to 100% it, but who the fuck plays the same game for even over 500 hours other then poorfags?

People that actually enjoy the games they buy?

I dumped 130 bucks on Inafune's scam

Attached: 1453525898130.jpg (600x802, 430K)

250usd in Path of Exile, because i was sick of doing the f2p way, 10 characters each league to hold my items... bought stash tabs and some armor/hat costumes.

I bought a game new one time

Other than that, I wait for the used bin and steam sales

Granted I haven't played anything on my PC since like 2015, and Payday and TF2 were spread across multiple accounts and platforms so I probably have well over 700 hours on both of those games too.

Attached: top steam games.png (1344x920, 597K)

60€

350 eurobucks for hearthstone when the first two expansions came out. Probably the worst choice I ever made

you can't just give someone a cloud that's not how that works

I spent 60 bucks on Spore. One day later I decided to never ever buy a video game again

>People hold off on buying some A or AA game to "see if it's worth the money"
>After a few months it's dead because of shitty meta or non-existent playerbase or horrible DLC/updates
>Because you have cash to spare you got to play in the first month where none of that shit was an issue
There are so many games that I played the fuck out of month 1 only to find out later after I've moved on that it turned to shit and isn't worth playing anymore

AVP2010's mp was actually fun as fuck but boy did it die off quick.

Attached: 1557075128270.jpg (788x524, 133K)

My fucking sides, that trashkino may actually have some value in the future.

I think it's on Smash 5. About 120 eurobucks

I never pay more than 20 bucks.

Yea Forums is gamers that can't understand that people actually enjoy games instead of being mindlessly addicted to stimulation.

Attached: cbrain2.png (260x226, 37K)

I backed mighty number 9 for 250 bucks

Go on, laugh. I deserve it

It fucking hurt when I put the game in. I got it pretty cheap compared to retail price and the Wanzer figure it came with looks nice on my shelf, but it still hurts because it's the last thing I remember genuinely looking forward to.

Attached: 408931.jpg (480x241, 30K)

If we're talking purely microtransactions/dlc then either maybe like 100$ total of TF2 keys or like 100$ or so on that one vita exclusive gachashit game, which I stopped when I realized how fucking stupid I was being.

If we're talking real game purchases, then I spent about 500$ combined for both the PS4 and Vita JP limited edition versions of festival versus, just because I really wanted the minifigures.

150€ in mh world collector's edition

A game like PoE constantly changes. You can go back every few months and get a modified experience. Each league could easily be 50-100 hours of stuff to do.

I think it changes more often, but not as drastically, as an MMO.

>$250
Did you buy the game 6 times or something? What did you get?

gamer

testing

What can you even spend $5000 on in that game?

gamer

Ok. I actually am finding it funny mods were most likely feeling some heat tossed their way with gamer and decided it had to be filtered.

well, for once they filtered a word with another word that describes pretty much the same

The highest supporter packs for cosmetics only are $480 USD.

See

Are there that many cosmetics actually worth buying? They look pretty iffy.
And don't give me that supporting the developers bullshit, all that money just goes to line Chinese pockets.

It depends how much money you make, for instance that guy spending 54k probably makes that in a week.

It is for supporting the developers. Who actually make a decent game that constantly changes.

Who raped your mind this badly you can't think for yourself and think all devs = satan?

I don't know what my total runescape subscription payment looks like but it's probably higher than anything else I've spent on a game.

Considering how frequent that thing updates though it's pretty justified.

I bought it at launch...at least it made me learn to never buy anything at launch

Attached: download.jpg (268x188, 10K)

I am pretty well off with investments and property/businesses I have, and my fiancee being an NFP with doctorate helps.

$55k a week people don't spend 55k on a game. They make a small 250k investment in the game and get everything for free for life, while also getting dividends and more.

That MGS4 DLC was kino

$70 for a decent boxed copy of Mother 3 here.

I've spent around 200 bucks buying guns in APB Reloaded over 7 years or so. I'd feel worse about it but 90% of the people I see playing the game have the loyalty reward gun that requires you to spend 600 dollars.

200 dollars for 7 years of game ain't bad, really. People spend more than that buying sodas over 7 years and soda ain't fun.

Attached: 1553907156697.jpg (328x328, 19K)

>Spending money on crapcom's deluxe editions

I disagree.

Didn't buy anything but xpacs and ~5 years of sub on wow but that alone is probably more than I'll ever spend on every other vidya combined.

About 250$ for a Snatcher on Sega CD

Probably FFXIV for sub time, though I play it irregularly, I sub for a big patch/do normal raid (too lazy/busy with work for savage) and enjoy the storyline, do some grinding, and leave. I haven't really indulged in fantasias or any other cash shop shit since I hate cash shops in a P2P MMO, that's double dipping. I still have my free fantasia.

I play F/GO but I haven't been tempted to spend money at all since the quartz prices are so jewishand I recently got NP5 Nero without spending a dime but now everyone thinks I'm a whale

Probably 100$ for a copy of Kirby’s Dream collection new & mint.

I dunno
does hardware for the purpose of gaming count as spent on gaming?

nothing extraordinary unless you count pre-order bonuses and dlc codes locked behind merch

nothing wrong with exploiting the working class after all they are dumb and stupid thats why they are the working class

suddenly, lootboxes and gachashit doesn't seem too bad.

God bless you user

Is Star Citizen a game or a cult? I've seen more evidence of the latter.

Attached: 14COhR2.png (512x512, 24K)

I spent about $500 on EVE not including sub which I'm not proud of

$99. That's it. That was for a limited edition game

did you have fun

>Rich people are rich because they exploit the working class
what's your definition of 'rich'?

Soul Calibur V's Collector Edition and For Honor's Gold Edition
I don't regret either

probably the price of the game itself, so like $60. I bought a cheap CSGO knife at one point but I sold that back to Steam and bought a game or some shit with it.

This pretty much, working and underclass are generally stupid as fuck

I'm so sorry, user.

He's right tho. The Lego Dimensions sets actually contain unique prints and pieces (like Dr. Who sonic screwdrivers or the Midway Arcade set having printed pieces for real midway arcade art). Even the NFC discs, which are just regular nfc tags, have unique prints (not stickers) for the figure bases and are actual Lego pieces.

I also have a big collection of them and was lucky to get most of them on sale. Even got like 4 packs of Cybermen and Dylek for $4 each and bow have a nice little army for my Dr. WHO set.

FFXIV but thats been with Subscription fees for 5 years, Expansions and sadly maybe around $100 worth of Gil spread out.

So $600?

Dads are spending their childrens tuition because they think the game will become the biggest game in existence and make them super rich with their permanently insured ships.

I'm working class and I fucking agree with you. Most of them just keep themselves in this rut through slothfulness or general illiteracy. I fall into the former.

I'm slowly clawing my way up into a cushy office job at least.

The local gamestore is selling a Mother 3 cart for $25. No manual or box. Think it's a good deal?

only times i have spent more than 60 euros total:
>hearthstone over the span of 4 years (about 100 euros)
>Mario Kart 8 and all of its DLC on Wii U
>WoW including all expansions up to Cataclysm

Traitors. Traitors, every last one of you. This is why ((they)) are building entire games around this structure.

Everyone else is okay. As long as you OWN the product, and it is legally in your possession, then you have real value. A digital asset holds no value and can be taken away from you at a moments notice.

Hi there!

You seem to have made a bit of a mistake in your post. Luckily, the users of Yea Forums are always willing to help you clear this problem right up! You appear to have used a tripcode when posting, but your identity has nothing at all to do with the conversation! Whoops! You should always remember to stop using your tripcode when the thread it was used for is gone, unless another one is started! Posting with a tripcode when it isn't necessary is poor form. You should always try to post anonymously, unless your identity is absolutely vital to the post that you're making!

Now, there's no need to thank me - I'm just doing my best to help you get used to the anonymous image-board culture!

I paid full price for days gone I was high as fuck when I did so

I dropped $100 on dota 2 when I was gambling hats.
At least I ended up $20 and sold before they axed hat gambling

Who the fuck makes six figures and still rents

Does vidya merch count? Cause if so, this.

He spent about 2 dollars a day, that's pretty reasonable for something he likes.

Probably like 500 on wizard 101

Someone who doesn't want to bother with maintaining their own house
I could make seven figures and I'd still rent.

I have a friend that spent over $200k on gacha

I bet you keep your money under your mattress.

I have spent $10/month since 2009 on a stick figure browser RPG called The Kingdom of Loathing.

I just bought some microtransactions to spite you.

TF2, but I'm not sure how much
I've bought a bunch of keys and I loved MvM.

There's no reason to not openly resent the upper/upper middle class's existence.

about 90€ for Conker's Bad Fur Day
man, the last couple of N64 games they released were expensive as fuck

World of Warcraft over 10 years must have cost me about two thousands.

between $70 and $75 on crusader kings/all it's DLCs besides the sabaton ones back in 2016 when they were on sale

this nigga smalltime

A couple of hundred pounds plus the cost of the game for a few years of subscription to the original Planetside as a teenager. I got really hooked on it, game consumed my life and I was well known as one of the best dogfight and shotgun players, but when I fell out with members of my clan I got bored of it. Never got into any other MMOs.

Attached: 504D3C46-CAED-4FC9-998E-F87C1C7EEF5E.jpg (2160x3840, 979K)

>Never got into any other MMOs
I could see that. You've already experienced peak MMO experience there in all forms
>best MMO
>actually recognized as one of the best ANYTHING

It’s odd, I remember the critical response was kind of lukewarm at the time given how ambitious the game was. I had been really excited since the preview stage though and played it from the start, the most fun I had in the game was when I was in a small and friendly clan (Whiskey Company) with a very clever strategic leader, I was the youngest member and everyone was really decent and supportive of me. Things went a bit sour when I went into an expert players clan and they all had huge egos at play.

I backed Star Citizen on day one. Its (slowly) looking to be turning into a fun game. But I don't understand the heavy users. Why would you buy everything? Ignoring the cost, because these creatures clearly have more money than they know what to do with, why would you actively remove gameplay? What are they going to do once the game goes live, just wave their big ship dick around? Not like there is any reason to play the game.

On and you can buy credits and land for real money too, giving these people even less shit to do.

Attached: 1560270437981.png (439x439, 238K)

Like $30, i'm from Argentina and that's like a billion pesos

>wave their big ship dick around
Literally this. It's literally just a show of, "I have it, and you don't."

Like $80 on a base game + dlc

Er 150ish bucks on Grand chase, took almost a decade though.

Because once people know you have money, the 'favors' just keep on coming.

Is it bad that i know where that image is from?

I have a problem

fag

I've spent about $4k on the game, and I have gotten shit to show for it

nigger

is this too much?

Attached: tf2money.png (559x340, 29K)

>implying companies would listen to (You) when you have many many others buying their mtx

Most overall, I spent $110 on GTAV. That was in Ausbucks though, just getting the game to begin with. I think new games are like $80 now, I don't buy new anymore.

On F2P, I spent $5 in Warframe on some ship cosmetic and the result was so... nothing that I learned my lesson. F2P and MTX aren't for regular players, they're solely, and only for whales. Don't even give them the time of day.

End your life.

Someone really needs to euthanize SCucks

is this game ever coming out?

I spent $10 on WoT, effectively I paid for a copy of the game

a json parser

My friend bought the collector's edition, of both of them

Attached: 1502321968350.jpg (1811x725, 240K)

probably WoW from two years of subscriptions
either that or Warframe, which I've definitely spent more than $150 on

150$ or something on a CE of Dragon Quest XI.
I'll probably do it again for the Switch version.
Other than with DQ games I've never spend over 60$ + very rarely DLC like in Souls games.

Post support bro

yes but not nearly enough for $500 to be worth it

Unironicly 300-400 dollars in a card game competitively.
I think you can figure out what it is

Fuck off nigger

Clout means attention, whitey

Yea Forums

60 dollars on Bloodborne and Metal Gear Rising. I have bought ever other game in my life on sale or used. I never really though about it, but those literally the only games I got the week they dropped.

Isn't the whole reason money exists is to spend it on stupid shit that boosts your happy chemicals?

no it doesn't, you larping faggot

Probably about 200 bucks on planetside 2 for auraxium membership and an anniversary pack. I gradually lost interest in it but I still play and just fuck around in it every now and then. Nowadays I never buy a game unless it's on sale and less than 20 dollars.

Attached: planetside 2.jpg (1440x900, 623K)

You get this

Lol is this the newest zoomer bait? He is allowed to spend HIS money just like you were allowed to spend the money of the federal government or private institutions. Maybe you should have gotten a better degree so loan payments wouldnt be such a burden.

Literally all card games are moving that way, user. Heck mtg set Modern Horizons has Wrenn and Six at almost $90 now.

>Not a single np5
Jesus man like why even bother then??

Because apparently, it's easier for me to hit the 0.018 or whatever chance of getting a nonrateup SSR than it is for me to get the fucking thing on rateup, about 11 times

>buy collector edition of lotro preordered
>probably ~$100
>buy lifetime subscription for $200
>ended up playing it for like 6 years
ended up getting my money's worth. I really should try playing again and seeing all the amount of turbine bucks I have

I spent £80 on Yugioh Duel Links, but then a month later Konami banned all my staples and I couldn't be bothered grinding every hour of every day so I dropped it

>Not playing commander or pauper
Literally wasting money on modern lol

Based

To play devil's advocate, no large pack was ever meant for just one person to buy. They're basically there for large organizations to pool in, since they're all multi-person ships that require effort to crew.

Based Konami dabbing on P2W niggers.

This february I've spent something like 1000 USD rolling my wife Mordred in FGO
Never even regretted it, it was company money anyways that's a long story

>Arthur

I spent $200 on gacha shit during a really dark time in my life

GSSR wasn't nice on me unfortunately

About $8,000+ on Granblue Fantasy. I managed to quit luckily.

>Never even regretted it, it was company money anyways that's a long story
Now I want to know how this went, I've got time

probably like $600 on WoW over the years

$2,000 on FGO. No regrets.

I've bought all the WoW Special Editions since Pandaria. That's about it, if you ignore the sub fee.

Are all communists just jealous poor people?

Add me up dudes
510, 316, 062

Roughly $2805.84.
On an FFXI subscription throughout 18 years

$300 on PUBG cosmetics

Felt immediate shame

Resold months later at the peak of its popularity for ~$700

Still feel bad about it, but less so

Attached: 1560673526433.png (646x700, 169K)

Warhammer Total War.

>np2 nightingale
fug I want that

I've given some dude an aneurysm in league by suggesting he could place some wards after he was bitching at me for five minutes about our lack of map vision, or at least i like to think i did. I definitely pissed him off at the very least.
Generally i don't say anything that could come back to bite me in the ass, it's easy enough to rile people up without having to resort to the "bad words".

On a single game? 100 bucks. Smash 4 plus some DLC. Waste of money in retrospect since the Wii U could be easily hacked.

I like to play MMO's with monthly subs, so probably WoW or FFXIV. Only games I really play anymore, so it's not that bad.

Attached: 1478819458480.png (500x514, 269K)

Forgot the screenshot. This was just one year. The 4,067 Rakuten points means 406,700 yens spent (you get 1 point per 100 yens), so that's roughly $4K on top of Google Play.

Company money= my stepfathers he isn't a stepfather, I was well over 18 when Mom met him but I hate saying 'mother's boyfriend' money, he kinda evades taxes through me registered as a private enterperneur. I do the work anyways, but we save like 30% of every payment. We do security systems and fire alarms btw.
As his company makes like 10x the money that goes through me I can spend it almost uncontrollably. Made a 15k USD deposit for a year from all the leftovers I've managed to scrap.

I didn't and yet here I am, spooked twice in 2 ten rolls one after the other while trying to get my Melt

Is it? I’ve been playing Final Fantasy Tactics since 1999 and I’ve only spent 50 dollars on it.

Sounds pretty good user, I'm glad you found something that works out like this

That MGS4 DLC was better than MGS4

like 40$ on fortnite
hundreds on roblox
20 in csgo
20 in tf2

I emulate stuff that's easy to hack or buy games when there the previous gen for less that 10 dollars. A hobby I have is going to thrift stores and garage sales to look for rare games and sell them for a bit of profit. It's a way to supplement my income and give me something to do

One time at a thrift store a lady had 5 gba and I got them all for 25 because the lady "didn't have the charger for it"

Jesus user the cheapest I see of that is $600 did you actually spend that much on that, I mean it's cool and I love orni but user that's a bit much desu

Yeah I was in some deep fucking depression before all this shit started. Drugs, quit drugs, then found fit teen tomboy GF who was my first not first gf, but first sex, lel, got ghosted after 2 month, parents who've been living heart to heart for 20 years broke up cause daddy got fucking crazy from the lack of money, depression, heavy problems at uni which carried on for like 2 years. Then that man magically appeared and turns out he wasn't satisfied with just making his own son into another siemens engineer and wanted one more. I feel so much better now, after quitting uni and having stable, high-paying and non-regulated worktime job, no more anxiety, no more fucking panic attacks, met a girl I've dated when we were like 13 and turns out she's still a big tiddy blue-anime-eyed hottie but now we can just get fucking drunk and have fun together. Hope we'll HAVE SEX
Thanks for reading all this shit, user. It means very much to me

devs

Through my childhood I probably spent 2k total on different Nexon games because that's all I played for years

Not your blog faggot, but nevertheless it's a nice story

GOG couldn't take away the games I bought from them even if they tried

If you make 50k and still poor as fuck you either budget horrible or need to move out of California/NYC/Connecticut. Also 50k is nothing. I average 65 as an uneducated bartender. Step your shit up.

I will at some point, I'm just using all my AP for the event at the moment please forgive me

as far as I know, absolutely, mother and earthbound games sell for really good. but check ebay and other sites for prices and stuff.

bought ARR Collector's edition :D

Whether you buy physical or digital, you're always technically purchasing a limited license to the software for personal use. You never own it in a legal sense. And hell, many physical releases require data downloads these days anyway.

100 bucks for GW2 deluxe edition
Never played more than 10 hours, massive disappointment

>many physical releases require data downloads these days anyway
what shitty game do you play that you can't insert the disc without internet and play the full thing?

So I've had a thought recently. If US dollar inflation is ~3.5% per year and I remember seeing games being $50-60 new in old nintendo power games and gamecrazy advertisements, shouldn't games today be around $90-120?
I pay twice as much for milk and bread nowadays, so why are fighting to keep game prices like they were in 1995?
Before you all jump on me for this: I only say this because they'll just microtransaction and DLC and fuck us in other ways if we won't pay a dime over $59.99. I think it's better to pay upfront for a better product, rather than getting psychologically manipulated with addictive slot machine tactics.

Attached: 1405148891343.jpg (373x359, 36K)

You get to enjoy the illustrious position of being turret gunner #23 on some rich fags ship

I spent close to 100 dollars on the Kingdom Hearts mobile game. Never again.

At first it was just a premium thing. Then later on I want to support them because I know most of gaijin players just leech the game for free so I bought some cosmetics stuff as well. I played for around 3 years so that put it at around $40 a month. Not too bad for me

They'd still add microtransactions and DLC even if the price went over $60 because now they know they can make truckloads of money off it. So better to fight to keep $60 the standard price point (or lower, bless the indies) while avoiding kike tactics, than have to pay $120 and still have to avoid kike tactics.

Is path of exile actually good? i think its free on ps4.

I've spent ~1000$ on DBZ Dokkan Battle over the span of 3 years although most of it was last year.

I've spent something like 300 bucks on Path of Exile shit and around $400 on Dota 2 stuff. You probably won't believe me but I'm actually pretty careful with my money, especially these days and I'm quite ashamed of any MTX purchases I have done, but that's just the truth

>Are there that many cosmetics actually worth buying?
No, just buy stashes (they're on sale every 3 weeks) if you gotta buy something. Stashes are actually useful

But they do get called out for kike tactics, like EA constantly being ranked the worst company in America. I've met some of the employees at the EA headquarters and they are pretty adamant that pirates and the cost of production are their excuses for kikery.
My point being, that they might actually forgo kikery when met with resistance but a balanced market. But I'll relent that *might* and corporate profit motivation are flimsy points.

Attached: Hink hill shut up.gif (320x240, 2.48M)

you mean after buying a game? $0

i was close in vindictus days, i just spammed surveys to buy my sexy underwear

Price of production went down when they moved from cartridges over to disc. Modern game development tools/engine throughout the years also offsets production costs vs. having to homebrew your own tools for every damn game.

I paid full retail price in Australia for Skies of Arcadia on Dreamcast.

>Rich people actually paying taxes
Lmao

The most i paid was 33 Canadian dollars including tax for spiderman. I buy all my videogames used or on sale.

8K over 3 years is reasonable.

the future is mine old man

$599 US Dollars ps3

and yet they keep putting microtransactions and DLC despite backlash. And they'd keep putting MTXs and DLC in even if the games cost $200 a pop. Corporations cannot be trusted to self-regulate their own greed.

Probably Warhammer Total War, have every DLC.

Attached: ss_c3d9fbe72d9681dafb8903af50580dbaa75e9da7.1920x1080.jpg (1920x1080, 1.31M)

They're collectors items.
When the game is 10 years old and the most popular game in the world people will pay me double that for my 100K capital ship

Probanly FighterZ since I bought the game and season passes all at full price. I regret it.

That's a reasonable point, but in SF where EA is headquartered, you'd have to pay your programmers $120k/year, not to mention multiple teams like asset design and project leads. So you start out needing to sell 500k copies to break even.
Do the newer efficiencies from disks and engines offset the increased price of staff/marketing required to be AAA?

Attached: 15347254686545.jpg (500x383, 20K)

I honestly wish I had enough money to throw it around at pointless shit like that

I haven't bought Vampire Coast and the Lizard/Rat Lord pack, any good?

just so you know i got that game on sale with dlc on sale. i get everything for the price of 60

Yeah everyone did. I should've just waited lol

you reek of jealousy

I would grant you that, if the initial price change had been met, but it's still reasonable that they'd no longer do the DLC if they weren't forced to by a market stonewall on the initial price.
Thought you're overall right. They are legally obligated to focus on shareholders above all else, as in the classic Dodge v. Ford Motor Co. lawsuit in 1919.

Attached: 154564245456874312.jpg (1280x720, 57K)

VC is fucking awesome, love em. Lizard/rats are ok, havent tried them out too much actually.

Lizard/rat lord pack is amazing for Skaven.

monero exists and soon we won't have roads anymore since they're trash and dumb to smoke

the cost of production is slim compared to the exponential increase in development cost (in AAA titles). the only reason why the industry is as successful as profitable as it is (ignoring mtx for a moment), is because of the massive market increase (now bigger than all other media combined) and because
>you'd have to pay your programmers $120k/year
not in the videogame industry. they work far more hours for far less than any other field. companies take advantage of the passion of game devs

What was the best deluxe edition you've bought?

Total Warhammer is really good at making me feel like I am getting a lot for my money, but I have a feeling that I'm not really.

just reminded me to do my linux dual boot for that, thanks

This game has been sucking out so much crowdfunding for so long a lot of people have died waiting for it. What's the deal with these con artists?

And that's the whole game.

I was obsesssed with mgo2, had eu na and jp region discs, all expansions, codec packs and extra character slots on each one.

Not sure how much it all cost probably not over 500 but i basically bought maximum dlc 3 times over.

... then about $250 on a hacked ps3 years later to play the player run servers...

200€ on MOBAs, that's it
Oh also 5€ on Tomb raider

~1k on MapleStory

I hope the world economy collapses, no one should be able to spend this much on video games I don't care about anyone's free will

Sad that didn’t go on longer, it was a great way to have minifigures from dead/niche IPs

I spent 60$ on Castlevania Bloodlines for genesis, surprisingly it cost more than Super Castlevania and Symphony of the Night for some reason

They’re still gonna be bargain bin my dude

I don't know why people saw high hopes for this game when the demo literally show you just fight waves of enemies for each quests

Whatever the hell the Legendary Edition of Halo: Reach cost. Microtransactions here and there, too. I don't keep track of those, though.

Its depressing to see how much people just throw money at shit. Its the exact same thing as a drug addiction

>Spent 10$ on Pokemon Crystal and Emerald back in 2010

There was a lot of promise and it was from Bungie. It was going to be an mmo sized open world halo basically...then the beta came out and I knew immediately it sucked. But I already got it collectors edition. So I forced myself to enjoy it then stopped, but then everyone at my college wanted to praise the game and I even had my first ever date playing the game with a girl in person (it was both great and terrible, had fun with her but HATED playing the game, she hated after she knew I hated it).

I've spend 80$ to buy Deluxe preorder on PS4. That was one and only time when I ever preordered a game, tho.

$120 on Battlefield 4 when it came out.
But that's not counting MMO subscriptions over the years.
If you're counting MMO subs then I'm probably looking at
>$1500 into FFXI Online
>$300 into Aeon Online
>$2500 into Eve Online
In the grand scheme of things, not very much still considering Train Simulator is like $38k on Steam and there's a lot of sad Star Citizen fags and twitchfags out there.

some people can grow out of it. But to others with addictive personalities it can screw them up.

Is Whale Hunting the GOAT business strategy of all time?

I know this doesn't seem the right place but a pawn shop offered me a PS4 for 220$ should I buy it even though PS5 coming out next year? I only care about playing Bloodbourne since I mostly game on PC

The big pull was Bungie being a solid fps dev (although some autistics claim it was a "different bungie"). A console PVP that wasn't going to suck as much as what else we had, all with pve that was decent and varied.

I will say this. Destiny made raids that no other game has come close to. I think things like NAXX in WoW came close, or Ulduar? But seriously the detail and cohesion for 6 people was amazing.

Great arpg, but it's too late to get started now unless you really want a game you could spend a lifetime on.

There's no growing out of it. It's manufactured to make you, me and everyone else be comfortable with the idea of throwing a lot of money at mundane stuff.

I could buy a very nice car with that.

I've maybe brought 80$ worth of lootboxes in Overwatch
I don't know what I was thinking

70€ on MGS V

Attached: 1385241836056.jpg (283x397, 16K)

$60 on starcraft 2
since then ive just been pirating everything. god bless cs rin ru chads

400$ for a mint copy of Metal Slug 3 AES.

Apparently it's very expensive now, shame I sold it.

It's not too late. It's like torchlight in a very basic sense, but PoE has way more mechanics involved and much more depth to it.

Runescape in the 2000s, the monthly subscriptions add up to about $300

Back in 2010 I spent $400 on Maplestory. I was a spoiled kid but in hindsight it was worth it. It was the most fun I've ever had playing an MMO.

I've spent about $180 on FFXIV since I started playing in February. Honestly don't feel so bad because of how much fun I had. But sometimes it still rubs me wrong.

Thinking of upgrading my Tarkov standard to EOD tho

>100k
>a lot of money
You could have invested that 5k and that would’ve added 2-3 years to your retirement

Around $80 CAD for a rare copy of Felix the Cat on GB. I'm one of the only 6 PEOPLE in that country to get ahold of this.

It's quantity makes Shantae on GBC look like it had millions of copies.

>100k isn't a lot of money but 5k is
You're an idiot.

5k is still significant when compared to 100k nigger. And, 5k invested with divedends set to reinvest will yield a lot of money over several years.

If he invested the 5k into crypto back then he'd be a millionaire today.

I got suckered in by Bungie. I loved the Halo games and trusted them to make Destiny into a great experience, so I pre-ordered the $100 edition. I've never felt so betrayed by a developer - promised myself to never pre-order again.

Attached: 1518921882136.jpg (540x606, 64K)

Too much I've learnt my lesson though and now I pirate every game twice just to make sure that devs lose double the money!

Attached: flat,550x550,075,f.u4.jpg (550x344, 49K)

When I first got a job I bought a couple of collectors editions and quickly realized I was never going to spend that much on a fucking game again just because it comes with a shitty lowend statue and some stickers or someshit.

$250+ down the drain...not because I should but because I COULD. That's just stinkin' thinkin'

Attached: file.png (967x812, 63K)

If real spending $54 grand on a single game whilst getting no monetary rewards is an absolute abysmal failure. if you're a zillionaire and have the $ then all the power to you. But you brows Yea Forums so millionaire is out and this being real is out too so

Attached: 2314698416321.jpg (569x428, 25K)

Like $60 max. I realized from an early age I could just wait out for sales on most games and I was never a collector cuck. Most old games run fine emulating. I'm not even a poorfag but games have such poor residual value that everything inevitably goes on sale and I can indulge other hobbies until that time.

Nah I'll stick with 20cdn

about $500 on dota

Attached: 1564495496179.jpg (845x658, 39K)

I paid full price for Anthem.

Attached: file.png (500x269, 205K)

Probably a cool $800 on Dota 2 hats and goypendiums over the past 8 years.

Bought a sealed copy of Wario Land 4 for $150

Is it good tho

Yeah, biggest regret I've made, and I've spent well over 300 bucks in a mobile gatcha game.

spent probably $500 on csgo skins over the years. Someone gave me 350$ and I spent that too. I've been playing it since the preorder release date, so I have lots of the older skins that I got for a dollar or so that are worth way more. Got lucky on some "investment" skins, and sticker capsule hoarding (200 capsules worth approx 20$ each; bought them at 25cents each; spent 50$ worth $4000).

I have in the neighbourhood of $8000 in csgo items. and I sell a few capsules anytime I want a new game.

>Was cleaning up my drawers
>Found bunch of used Steam prepaid cards over the past years
>Adds up to 350$

As someone who feels annoyed playing on PC on occasion I didn't realize I spent this much on Steam

Suck me dry daddy

Attached: fwefewf.png (274x121, 48K)

Probably $90 for Earthbound which I flipped years later for $130
I'm heavily considering going full madman and buying .hack//Quarantine (along with the other 3 volumes)

That isn't even a lot

$50

Over 2k on F/GO

That's like 4 games in Australia.

I buy games on sale

Prolly 500 bucks on Secondlife like 9 years ago, when I'd take my mom's credit card. I really went out of control on purchases

And your mom was cool with it?

>he bought shark cards
>i literally just reinstalled it after years and hacked in a billion in 2seconds
>no ban

around 100$ on tf2 for the MvM, made money back on 2 goldens
spend around 50 bucks on crates/BP in Dota
preordered SW:BF, I still don't know why, I've spend 2 hours on it. I don't even remember buying it, just playing

So like 95% of the population?

It was like $20 here and there. So she didn't think much of it at the time. It was over the course of the year it became $500 in purchases. I'd buy the dumbest shit too, random furniture and lil gadgets

If you bought $5k worth of bitcoin 7 years ago you would be a literal multimillionaire today. Instead you threw it away on a video game. Pathetic.

You all like to get mad at corporations and shitty businesses practices but the consumer practically begs to get fucked. They love it.

Attached: Q4glzt4.png (760x539, 184K)

even if you make 1,000,000 a year it doens't make it okay. the companies cast out these disgusting shit that fucks over regular people in hopes of catching whales like you.

Probably Heart Gold and Black 2 last month.

$346 on a Year of Fortnite. Stopped playing

Oh... oh...

Planetside was great. Far better than 2 IMO.

heh

$100 on Shadows of Valentia.

Why though? Literally everything we'd seen was pointing to it being a piece of shit

Yes, people buy the junk they sell.
>b-but the big bad porky jews are mind controlling me into wanting it

I doubt many people have played it but...

$1200 on Combat Arms back in 2010

Attached: 1473554165739.jpg (388x341, 15K)

I wanted to fuck around as Ironman for a bit. Ended up putting about 30 hours in it before the appeal wore off.

You should watch the documentary about these games:
youtu.be/_stW6JvB4SI

Didnt vuy everything from them, but the main dlcs.

Attached: tyler.jpg (800x450, 176K)

Do you have all the new summer skins and the previous child ones?

$350 or so here I guess

Attached: 1564416873276.jpg (1280x1816, 279K)

$700 on Panzer Dragoon Saga.

No more than $60. I did preorder the collectors edition of cyberpunk to scalp just in case I can get some extra incelbucks for it, but I have 30 days to cancel after it releases. $250 on my credit card is no biggie if I can either make more money or just get it back.

>retards bought into this shitty scam game with literal who devs
speedonvhs, adamantium jimmy hazmat and solaireislove are all fucking retarded wh*toids

ive spent 2000 dollars on league of legends

>5k on PoE
>Not stupid

You know that the game is free right? And that no one gives a fuck about all that ''cool'' transmog that you bought. It would have been less stupid spending that money on other games or just ANYTHING but cosmetic shit in a chinese F2P grind simulator.

And yet if the working class never existed the world would be fucked.

Attached: 1454465584796.jpg (646x712, 84K)

Highest for me was $400 on sims4 and like 10 dlcs that are horridly overpriced, pirating ea games for all eternity following that bank fiasco

Hey I love shit like this, it's comedy gold to watch from the outside, and whales keep a bunch of games funded so they get constant updates, which I can then enjoy for free.

Attached: 1529161318702.jpg (1920x1080, 179K)

So you pretty much pretended to be gay for videogames and are acting proud about it.

Ngl user as based as you may think you are, you're still a colossal faggot for esexing beta fags for hours on end.

I once bought a game on a steam sale because muh cheap.
Payed 12 american burgers for it, and was a piece of shit.
Never again.

Nah

>short pants due washing
>no socks

>Rich people are rich because they exploit the working class
you're retarded

£130 on the Ni No Kuni II King's Edition or whatever it was called. I practically got it just for the record, which turned out to only have 2 tracks on it, but it's still a nice picture disk.
if i wanted to trade it in, the price is like £4.

I spent $2300 on FFXI over the years.
