For me its in between Story and gameplay.
Gameplay can be good but if the story doesnt interest me, then i won't play it too much or dont like it that much (FFTA2, Far cry 4, FFXII, Chrono Cross)

And if the story is good but the gameplay is boring bad shit, then i would still try finish it but won't like it (Soul reaver 2, FFIV, Fallout 1, Skyrim)
