Almost none of your smash skill will transfer over to Unist outside of reading your opponent. Do not push buttons mindlessly like an idiot, UNIST will especially eat you alive for doing that. Do the actual ingame tutorial, it's good and it'll teach you everything about the game's system mechanics. Other than that you're just going to have to play a lot of matches and carefully analyze what you did wrong. You'll lose a lot and it'll be a lot of work but if you persevere, you might find an enjoyable experience.

Redblade made it to 17th place, so he placed well enough. I think Squish drowned out much earlier. This is personal opinion, but I don't think Squish is that great a player. He lucked out hard with Akatsuki's buffs, and his tournament performance is carried by those improvements. I found it inevitable he'd job to the Japanese overlords who stuck with their mains from start to finish. But that's just what I think.
