This.

And it's still a very good game, one of the benefits of fixed movement styles like tank controls and no moving while aiming is that the gameplay doesn't really age.

Here's a (you).

it changed everything, it influenced most modern games.

>comparing pure action to action horror

This is why you can't get that ged

Not really, it just came during a time period when a new generation and dudebros were just getting into video games.

im tired of this thread everyday, why cant we just have a normal RE thread instead?

It was a 9.5/10 game
4/10 for classic RE standard
7/10 for modern RE standard

Ironically, Max Payne is boring compared to RE4, and that's why RE4 gets remastered even today.

It has this certain feel. You get immersed in its self contained narrative.

It's hard to explain, the controls are on the bad side compared to modern games, but it somehow works in this game. You eventually get used to the atrocious camera.

Although I do prefer if it had better sound design like RE2make, so many silent ninja zombies sneak up on you.

So exaggerated. Let the sales speak for itself

Name 1 (three) games better than RE4 that AREN'T other Resident Evil games

Yes, it's the best game of its generation.

Nowhere close to the excellence that is RE2R

Games like these really make me miss the b-tier motion-captured Japanese take on campy movies.

Easy. MGSV, RE5, and... Dammit

>it's the best game of its generation.
It's not even top 5.

Your taste is shit.
